Did you know... The chassis plate for this model is made fro a material called "Duralumin"? It's a super hard aluminum Copper alloy. It was used in the Hindenburg Zeplin! And is also used in heavy duty aircraft and land vehicles today!
I like your review of this buggy. I am new to RC. Bought my 1st RC, a Kyosho Blizzard FR last Sept. 2017. I am modifying it for next winter. I was so impressed with your content and delivery I subscribed and hit the bell. This I can be open to learning about this aspect of RC, even though I concentrating on Scale and Crawler this summer. Good job!!1
Bought one of these for my mates based off your review. Great car! Found a couple of niggles though. The rear turnbuckles seem a bit weak. We broke both of them! And one of the rear dog bones sort of chewed itself a bit. Might have been a bit too much droop coming out of the box setup. But great equipment for the money!
I am just getting in to the hobby....bought this as my first hobby grade rc. Immediately I realized it was race bred, and ended up turning the punch way down, it just got out of control on me too easily. Two months later, I'm super pleased. I wanted to run a 5200mah but it wouldn't fit, due to the esc being mounted a little too far forward (battery was hitting fan)...moved esc as far back as it would go, and all is well. I'm no Jason, but so far this car has kept up with some of the local guys who are losi-heads and have been driving much longer....I haven't found a need to upgrade anything just yet....once I break something though I'm sure I'll get to buy some of those expensive Kyosho parts they are so proud of!
wheelies if there's traction. good accel. if theres not a lot of traction though, youll be spinning. I get people saying all the time though, 'that car is quick'....that's on 5200 mah 50C 2s lipo.
I'm getting about 45 mins off my 5200 mah 2s....about 35 or so on my 4000 mah 2s. that's average, bashing, just having fun driving. I'm sure full throttle the whole time would drop that significantly. I know my run times are always outrunning my buddies though. its only a 45a max esc, so it doesn't draw a whole lot of current.
Subscribed! Thanks for the videos man. I would really appreciate it if you would post lap times from your tested cars. I don't care if you mess up or whatever, it would really be important.
I agree that radio is really nice for an RTR. I use one with my crawler and really like it. Some heatshrink on the trigger gives a great feel for cheap. I also added some weight in the bottom so it doesn't feel so light
Hi from Barcelona! I think this video is very useful for those that want to enter the hobby, like me. I wish more RTR are reviewed, like the Serpent SRX2 or the Team Associated RC10B4.2. BTW, those three cars are around the same price, which would you recommend? I like the Kyosho for the aluminum chasis, the Serpent for it's sensored/sensorless ESC and the Team Associated because there is a lot of people using it. Most worring aspect to me is durability of plastic parts, but perhaps all those plastics are good enough. Thanks for all the videos!
Hey Jason, great review. Funny, same damn thing happened to me with my RB6. 5 min on the track, wondering why it would lock up and skid with no throttle, was messing around with throttle and zip, right off the track and broken left rear everything. I'd love hear your thought on the car after you've had a chance to break it in some more.
I know this is an older vid but I am getting ready to purchase this rtr for a beginner car to race. Did u ever dial it in or upgrade it? Im curious as to what kind if performance lifespan i can get out of this kit. Thanks for any help and advice. Love your channel and the content. Pretty invaluable in my mind!
This is old I know, but just an FYI the Kv rating is not kilovolt. kV is kilovolt, Kv is the motor voltage constant. It confusing to some but basically this means that for every volt applied to the motor, the motor will reach an RPM equal to the Kv rating. This is meant to help with gearing. Example: a 7.4v lipo and a 2400Kv motor equates to a maximum motor RPM of about 17,800. Higher voltage equals higher speed. Cheers
Whats up man been watching a lot of your videos lately like them all, so since you have this and the b4 what one do you think is better? i know you did the comparison on the kit but that is a little bit different then this readyset.
Thanks for the review! I just got one on ebay for $299! is there any spare parts you think I should keep on hand? Not sure about local parts availability. Have you done anything else with yours?? Thanks!
hello and great review. i'm an old time rc racer, been out of the sport since the early 90s. raced with the original jrx2 and a jrx pro special edition. miss those days! would like to get back into the sport, but on a budget. which rtr do you think holds the edge, the RB6 or the rc10b4.2 rtr? mind you that around my parts all the mom and pops shops are all but gone so buying and maintaining will be almost all done online. any advice would be helpfull!
ShortCourseWorld Hi, 3 Racing is a well known company based in Asia I believe, they also have the Sakura on-road car that is popular. Trust me this is a great bang for buck car, I am sure someone in the states will distribute it. Why don't you give it a try or I can send you one of my cars. The kit is under $200 & has mid motor & rear motor options in the kit. I think RCMart is a Distributer. Hope to see you give it a try
Hi Jason, thanks for your reviews, hey I want to buy a buggy for rc oc racetrack in Huntington Beach, I'm between rc10b4.2 RTR or Kyosho RB6 RTR, Wath do you think ?
Hey Jason, I like the last name, I'm a Snyder as well. But anyway, I see that there is a Serpent Spyder SRX2 RTR out there as well. Are you planning on giving that a test to see how well it comes in that form? Kind of like the way you reviewed this RB6 RTR? I would love to hear your thoughts on the Serpent RTR compared to the RB6 RTR if you do. If you aren't planning to get the Serpent RTR, what would your comparison or thought be of the SRX2 RM compared to the RB6 then? Thank you for any feedback. Mark Snyder
ShortCourseWorld Have you driven the Serpent SRX2 RTR already? If you had to choose with your driving style and the way the buggies are built, which one would you choose? Also, local stuff around me isn't a factor as I do most of my shopping online these days. Instead of being limited to AE and Losi at the local level. Thank you Jason.
i had that RTR radio on my nitro..the EPA -Steering will show first ..then press the (-) minus button EPA-TH appears.. the trigger will activate either forward or brake/hold still on brake then adjust EPA..done. LoL
Wow. For $300 as an RTR that’s it’s almost good as the racing kit version, I’ll definitely buy one, but is it also for us people who are more into bashing around just having fun?
Yeah I was wondering about that. My guess is it should be fine, just wouldn't be able to do stunts like those Arrma vehicles. Gearing is sealed, so that's the main thing. Don't forget that because it's a rear motor, you wouldn't be able to cool it as easily as a mid motor so that'd cut into run times a bit.
Al B that’s alright with me. I’m use to rear motor buggies cause I have one to drive and have fun with and also experience it too at the same time. I have a 1/10 ECX Boost 2WD Buggy and had that Rc for 4 1/2 years.
Hey whats that noise ?? I don't know but it sounds like he broke it .... LOL Some funny chit.. Big J.. You need to bring that thing to Spektrum race :)
I want to start racing buggys and i have seen the team asosiated 1/8 scale rc8.2e rs should i invest i little, more for the 4wd drive to the kyosho 2wd?

Hey man, how is the acceleration on the buggy?
wheelies if there's traction. good accel. if theres not a lot of traction though, youll be spinning. I get people saying all the time though, 'that car is quick'....that's on 5200 mah 50C 2s lipo.
+Rob Nice, also whats the run time like?
I'm getting about 45 mins off my 5200 mah 2s....about 35 or so on my 4000 mah 2s. that's average, bashing, just having fun driving. +Rob another guy who runs the buggy had a 45C 4800mah Lipo and gets almost two hours. I'm going to do my best to get the same battery.
Jason,i just got my Kyosho RB6 today from Amain already ran 4 2s lipos threw it, its a nice for a RTR.
I gotta say!! This is very good nice review of RB6 RTR=) I gonna get it soon. Thanks for tips for upgrade and review!!
I just purchased this kit and an update would be very helpful. Maybe a list of some of the parts upgraded.
Subscribed! Thanks for the videos man. I would really appreciate it if you would post lap times from your tested cars. I don't care if you mess up or whatever, it would really be important.
That's awesome. I love that you were like ah man sucks to be that guy.
I agree that radio is really nice for an RTR. I use one with my crawler and really like it. Some heatshrink on the trigger gives a great feel for cheap. I also added some weight in the bottom so it doesn't feel so light
How does it compare to the less expensive RC10B4.2 RS RTR out of the box and after a few minor adjustments?

Getting one for my dad so he can run a class he use to run 20 years ago! Lol
How about a video on how to adjust the settings on that radio!? I have two for my kids but have no idea how to use the menus.

Good tip! And you are a professional too!

I started out racing rustler than i went to 1/8 ofna and 1/8 kyosho nitro buggies. I still have them and now i bash them. Still run strong.
Hey Jason, what battery were you running in this video? Great video btw
Whats up man been watching a lot of your videos lately like them all, so since you have this and the b4 what one do you think is better? i know you did the comparison on the kit but that is a little bit different then this readyset.
How would this compare to the Associated RC10B4.2 RS RTR Buggy? (about $50 cheaper)
Great reviews your a cool guy
Awesome Review!
Hey Jason, do you know what sort of top speed this buggy has? I've ordered one through my LHS. Big fan of your reviews.
Thanks for the review! I just got one on ebay for $299! is there any spare parts you think I should keep on hand? Not sure about local parts availability. Have you done anything else with yours?? Thanks!
Good review!
They do offer a mid motor the rb6.6 also

motaz1975 wow. I have the same exact question a year later. What'd you end up doing?
Nice video, I like the end lol
Thanks!
Hey Mate,
GDay from Aussie land.
Why don't you try the 3Racing Cactus, extremely cheap & similar to Kyosho design.
I'm never heard of 3racing.....is that an Aussie brand?

Hi Jason, thanks for your reviews, hey I want to buy a buggy for rc oc racetrack in Huntington Beach, I'm between rc10b4.2 RTR or Kyosho RB6 RTR, Wath do you think ?
RB6, the B4.2 has lower specs such as a plastic chassis compared to the RB6's Aluminum.

Mark Snyder I think they are both good....but I'd encourage you to get the one that has better parts support locally! Thanks for watching :)

Just wondering, what part of this buggy appeals to you as a basher
Hey whats that noise ?? I don't know but it sounds like he broke it .... LOL Some funny chit.. Big J.. You need to bring that thing to Spektrum race :)
How to proper adjust slipper clutch on sensorless motor?
I want to start racing buggys and i have seen the team asosiated 1/8 scale rc8.2e rs should i invest i little, more for the 4wd drive to the kyosho 2wd?

Hi. What battery are you running? Cheers
Hi! how does this compare with the losi 22 2WD Brushless RTR Buggy? which one would you choose? please help i`m about to buy!
What Radio were you using in the beginning of this video?
Hey Jason is the chassis aluminum and do the shocks have aluminum bodies
+Kid1234567890 I'm not Jason, but I do know that the buggy comes with composite shocks.
From my experience kyosho plastic is about same quality as yokomo ...except the fact that yokomo parts are 2 times cheaper :D
Should I get this yes or no
Looks like Rainman out of Bakersfield
Do the wheels have BEARINGS?
What shocks would you put on
Mine came mid motor rtr
Does it work with 3s lipo ?
Can i run 3s lipo with this car?
Brushless???
De
Plastic chassis. Plastic shocks. Dogbones. Gear diff. Rear motor. Sensorless. Yeah, the cost is right... but nothing else is :(
2014 🤣🤣🤣🤣
