After Master tuning my Losi 22 for well over a year, it was nothing compared to a basic setup on a Kyosho RB6! I have retired my Losi to coul-de-sac racing (lol) and getting serious with my RB6. What my Losi could never do, this car does PERFECTLY. Definitely a HIGHER LEVER BUGGY that is allowing me to drive closer to my potential.
I started running 2WD MOD John, the RB6 is a car to look at. They are built in Japan. Quality is ridiculous good! And the car is consistent. 6.5T is alot to hang to though.
just wanted to say you make great videos I really don't like other people making videos but yours are okay keep it up thanks for taking the time out to help out others
GREAT review Jason. Because of Rich and yourself, RUclips just a super place to get acquainted with cars/trucks before dropping $$$. AND... Seeing that t-shirt you got on here... I gotta say it again... Really hope to see you out at the 2017 Chi-Town Shootout!!
Believe me..I'd like to ....But nobody carries parts and there is basically no support here.........So i'd have to buy it just for the review....and there is really no chance I'd keep it to race, even if it were awesome!
Yea they do..I have the Cougar KR, but really want to get my hands on the KF..that would do better at my track than the KR does. The KR seems to be more for loose grip.
Thanks for your great reviews. I have purchased the RB6 after your review. I was wondering what shims if any you use on the suspension plate. Also, did you point the 25degree pointing forward or the 30degree pointing forward. I was thinking of going no shim, going with the 25 degree pointing forward and trying it then adjusting from there.
That chassi protector looks brand new! when u have to acces your transmission do u cut out the little holes for acces to the transmission or do u just peel it back and remove the screws?? O nmy chassi protector for my B5M I cut out the litttle holes for my chassi protector. I have a feeling I should not have done that, but what should I do for next time??
I want to get in to kyosho rc racing, I run Tekno SCT.3 right now, and 1/8 E buggy. I want a ZX6, a RB6, or a SC6 which one of these kits would you get first? BTW, I love your videos! great work Jason.
It's possible Jerry, But I already own a Kyosho MP9e TKi and I'm pretty happy with it. I've reached out to TLR in the past but they don't seem to be willing to help out in ANY way because I wouldn't guarantee a perfect review.....
That is expensive! Reminds me of my Mugen. Just the aluminum front upper arm bracket is $27 with shipping! It gets crazy at times, but it doesn't break so that's good. Some of these high end European and Japanese cars are expensive to maintain both R/C and real cars. Mercedes Benz, Aston, etc.
It is an expensive hobby. I got my Tamiya Grasshopper from my late, beloved Dad at age 11. I have been into RC car ever since. Today, I have enough money to really afford this hobby but it took a long time to get there. Do not get discouraged!
The RTR version is a rear motor. Still just as good? (as mid motor)... and rigid plastic.... how does this compare to the Associated RC10B4.2? You may have seen my comments in your other vids, so just pointing out again, I'm more about durability. Performance aside, I want the more durable of the two: which one would you recommend?
Hi Jason! I am in a dilemma and hoping that you might help me out here. I am racing 2WD buggy, Ansmann MadRat with almost all of the available upgrades. It is not bad, but the plastics are not the best quality and the front of the car breaks easily. I am thinking of an upgrade, and I have to choose between the new B6D or the Kyosho Ultima RB6( used car with upgrades from a friend with some spare P too) for about 100$ cheaper. We have an indoor carpet track and also an outdoor dirt track. Which one should I buy? Thanks in advance for your advice!
I bought the rtr mid motor but iit has really crapy steering. I put really good indoor tires on it and still no. Steering. What do u suggest? The servo really isn't that slow. What do you suggest??
After a little bit of running the sc10.2 it's not really the felling I want for a 2wd sct so I'll be upgrading to the sc6 when I can. As for 2wd buggy if the B5M dosnt work out for me I'm getting this. What upgrades don't come with the kit?
Hey man im looking at 2 buggies this or the serpent in mid motor. Question is how well will this car do on a outdoor loose track vs serpent? Raced for about 10years then got out now getting back in being that the 4wd and 2wd buggies are back popular! thanks man
Its hard to say........This car is more durable at the moment.....the serpent cars have had chassis issues from day one and no one is sure if they have it figured out as of yet.... On a loose outdoor track My first choice would be a B5 Rear motor......but if it gets medium to high bite then I'd consider the RB6 in MM or a B5M.... Like i mentioned in the video I've never run my RB6 outdoors
not much has worn out..... KYOUM721 is the only part I've had to replace for wear......car should definitely be updated with aluminum steering pieces and I like the aluminum rear hubs as well. Diff is amazing in this car....same diff i build the car with months ago.
Awwww man. lol. I like Kyosho kits just like you said way to much $$$$ and for a 15 year old kid that dosnt have a job it's impossible for now, I'll eventually make the switch from AE to Kyosho. Hopefully.
I've watched a lot of your videos and I have a question. I'm new to this hobby and am currently building a B4.2. I'm confused as to which speed controller and motor I should get. Your opinion would be awesome and I'd much appreciate it. =)
Do you want a brushless electronic speed control, brushless motor and high torque, brushless servo? I have a humble, Kyosho Javelin re released kit with that set up. I have the Hobbywing Justock ESC plus a Hobbywing Xerun V10 G3 7.5 turn brushless-sensored competition motor plus a Protek Low Profile high torque 160T steering servo.
Hey jason, great review! I run a rb6 as well and agree with alot of what you mentioned here! Though i run it mid motor, I have not found any issues w forward bite at all. in fact i have been told that my car is "on crack" when referring to speed and traction! I would love to meet up w you next time you are down at ocrc and let you check out my setup! i think it would interest you! I have too started a youtube page " Barney Mike's R/C Loft" Barney Mike's RC loft episode one Check it out if you get a second! def not at your level but will be touching on all sorts of things a intro club racer would want to know. thx

i love watching your reviews!
I agree that the Kyosho plastic is very, very good. My Javelin re-release is made of some very high quality plastic.
have u ever done a review on the bz 222 buggy by hobby king ? would really love to see that. You make great reviews
to use the avid hd long axles, use the kyosho 65.5mm swing shafts for the rb6
Dude...you have to try the Cougar KF, would love to hear your thought s on it. A true mid motor car
Believe me..I'd like to ....But nobody carries parts and there is basically no support here.........So i'd have to buy it just for the review....and there is really no chance I'd keep it to race, even if it were awesome!
ShortCourseWorld I understand. From what I hear it does awesome, but I can't find a good review on it.
They make killer stuff....Carson Wernimont has nothing but great things to say about Schumacher!
Yea they do..I have the Cougar KR, but really want to get my hands on the KF..that would do better at my track than the KR does. The KR seems to be more for loose grip.

Nice review. Will you be doing a comparison with the B5/B5M? I guess you like the RB6 better since you said it is your regular race car now?
yes...Buggy Shoot out coming soon!
Such a stud !!
Good fair review. Are you ever going to review tlr 8ight e 3.0?
It's possible Jerry, But I already own a Kyosho MP9e TKi and I'm pretty happy with it. I've reached out to TLR in the past but they don't seem to be willing to help out in ANY way because I wouldn't guarantee a perfect review.....
nice review, are parts on the rb6 compatible on the rb6 rtr ready set?

Nice Video do i get the Tuning Parts also in Germany do you have links? Thanks
Great review on the rb6. What are your thoughts on the 22 2.0 platform?
good car....but i'm not a huge TLR fan.

Nobody following this video anymore ?... :(
Well, never mind. I just bought the B6D :D

hey would you do a video on transmitters there's no good videos out there what controllers are good what are bad and what they can do thanks
Tim inman Inman Sanwa m12s or futaba 4px are the main competitors today
I have a Sanwa, and it does the job.
Do you have a setup sheet available for your car?
When u said full time race kit. You don't use your AE kits??
right now I'm running the kyosho stuff.
Awwww man. lol. I like Kyosho kits just like you said way to much $$$$ and for a 15 year old kid that dosnt have a job it's impossible for now, I'll eventually make the switch from AE to Kyosho. Hopefully.
The AE stuff is good stuff....no reason to switch if you're happy!
True!!
Could u tell me the part number of turnbuckle kits that I can use on my incoming B5M
i just used B4 turnbuckles....fit just fine!
Sweet!!

Hell yeah my durango was a lil famous right there lol
What about the 22? Wasn't it the first to have both?
Its a good car......but in MM config the motor is really far forward.
working on a 22 review now
