I have official ordered this truck I have the predecessor the ultima sc. I absolutely loved it put every slash look slow they fly so amazing and are so much lighter and faster.
G'day from down under! Awesome video and super smoooooth driving. l raced 20 years ago in on road but never had an off road truck until now. l really enjoyed your video and your advice, thanks for making a great video. l have a Helion Dominus SCv2 4x4 SCT set up at the moment which is ok for my 5 year old son to have some fun with, l find it ok as driving goes, but it is very responsible for giving me the SCT BUG lol, and there was NO WAY the truck was going to stay at the hobby shop once we took a good look at it. Picture this, a five year old with his arms around the large SCT rtr box which is probably bigger then him. He was so determined, and he just loves it. I'm now looking at a two wheel drive Losi xxx sct rtr tough country package at the moment just so we both can run our trucks together and posabley get back to some club racing down the track. (Always had a soft spot for the Losi gear 20 years ago) Also looking at the Associated SC10 and now the Kyosho. Any comment or extra advise most welcome. Cheers from the land of Oz
the sc6 seems to be a great truck i would like to get one an race it but to justify $500 an still need electronics i would just say 4get it an get stuff for my nitro season cause of travel to these tracks it just gets expensive an for nitro i dont mind to travel as far as a 5hour ride each way
I run a 6.5t motor in my desc210 and here in the UK there are not enough sc entries to run 2wd and 4wd sc separately and my truck is so fast I doing consultant lap times almost 1.5 seconds faster that the 4wd sc are but however the truck is very tail happy if you don't use any expo and now I'm finding a 7.5t motor lacks power when I'm helping friends setup their trucks I use one of the turnigy motors in this because I didn't want to spend £60 on a reedy or lrp motor and now I've sold all my other motors and changed to the tunigy brand because I found them to be more reliable and can save me a lot of money. However do you know of anyone who sells sway bar kits that will fit the Durango because most of the track here are high traction so on almost every corner you risk flipping coz of excess grip
Hello Jason Next time before you bash UPS make sure the pkg was delivered by them. That pkg was delivered by USPS(United States Postal Service) and its a Priority mail. Great vid btw.
Hi There, yeah i mis spoke in the video, however it was UPS that personally handed me this one just a few days ago! facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154564275685697&set=a.80652100696.142179.650350696&type=1&theater
Great review, and you tested/raced on the same track I run at. I also noticed a little bounciness in the suspension. I run Mid, so I am patiently waiting for you to review mid motor.
Hey Jason I go to that track a lot and I have just got into the hobbie. Right now I have a prolite 4x4 and next October I would love to get a to get a b5m. I think that your videos will help me to make good decisions in the future on what cars look and feel good. I would like to know if you could help me on which shocks I should buy. Let me include that my truck is a 1:10 scaly short corse truck. This truck as well as the kyosho has a lot of play. I could use some advice on how to fix this problem. +ShortCourseWorld
The 1015s are known for smaller sizes splines. You will need a servo horn with a screw in the side of it, to make the diameter of the spline in the horn just a tad smaller. I think Hudy has one, google it, you will get the idea. Great video by the way, I really enjoyed it, even tho I am a basher :-) Hope it helped youa bit, and greets from Holland!
@@ShortCourseWorld hey man, I know this video is old, but I've been looking for an answer that I can't find online. I want to know if I can put an Ultima SC on a SC6 aluminum chassis?
Man I been watching all your videos. I been trying to get into racing. I came from a bashing back round. But I always wanted a S.C. To race. I been looking into either going 4wd or 2wd do u have any suggestions? Maybe 2wd is better to start or 4wd? I know ur busy so hopefully u see this. Thank for all your contributions to this awesome hobby
hey Jason ! howdy ? any luck racing on turf ? i am struggling with broken idlers every 10 batteries ! i cant seem to find a solution. any suggestions ?
Is mid motor the best for a clay track? I don't know if I have the skill yet to build a kit I was thinking about the rtr version of this truck. What do you recommend? I've been racing with a b4.2 on a clay track but I see everyone with mid motor ...
Thats a great race announcer!
Kyle Hidalgo is his name. Yes he's a great announcer, and not a bad 4x4 sct driver either.
He's one of the best !
Im from bakersfield hell yeah
Very easy to relate and understand your narrative so it was very informative for me...and nice line on the track. Thank you for posting.

ShortCourseWorld In the mid motor!
Nice
ProTek aluminum horn..works perfect with that servo

Dude in the middle in the white shirt cracks me up. He's into it man!

You can now buy the RTR for 350

keep in there man impressive driving........your not that much slower than Cavalier and all those top boys. thanks for the rc text tips as well
Thanks for the video, great job.
I love those servos..been running for a year now and no issues. Its the DS1015, I think you said SP
Are the shocks the same as the RB6?
Vary nice video!! Also had to add you on Facebook to keep up with the action!
How does that truck compare to the proline pro2 sct
this is a dedicated race truck....the pro2 is somewhere in between a basher and a club racing truck.
Great review, and you tested/raced on the same track I run at. I also noticed a little bounciness in the suspension. I run Mid, so I am patiently waiting for you to review mid motor.
And how do you set toe in the front of your cars ?
Toe links. (Camber links)
tiene buena pinta
I know that but how do you check how much toe you are running
generally its really a guess....a little bit out or straight is how i run the toe up front
my sc 6 was a readyset when i baught it so i just charged changed rear wheels and went away
Man you spanked their asses in that qualifier! :P
Nice truck great driving. What charger do you use ?
I use a hitec 4port ac/doc charger.
told you I would check it out! haha

2w SCT is more popular. I'd start there
Hey Jason I would like to know what kind of race tires you run on your sc10 and what kind of shock oil do you run in it?
I run whatever tires work at the track I'm at....I usually start off on Gold Bar Codes...and I use AE or Losi Shock oil
Can you run the aluminum Kyosho shock caps?
yes
I've heard they are going to make the ball studs as you suggested. Jared Tebo was also saying the same thing.
How do you charge batteries that are soldered in like that?
They are'nt soldered in, it just looks like it, there are bullet connectors wich goes directly from the esc.
Sebastian Atterhall thats correct
Could the front shocks have been over-damped?
hey Jason ! howdy ? any luck racing on turf ? i am struggling with broken idlers every 10 batteries ! i cant seem to find a solution. any suggestions ?
it will be loud but I'm pretty sure someone makes aluminum idlers
i have tried them (by kyosho) they stripped the entire idler shaft and the diff... amazing to see a whole gearbox full of aluminium fillments!

Where is the kit made? If it was Japan the cost might make more sense.
+Adddam Dang it, I see on the packaging it seems to be all Japanese. Nice
Santa Clarita
SCVRC
Nice video! Just wondering what track did the video get recorded at?I like the layout.
That was SCVRC in Santa Clarita , Ca
Ohhh alright cool thanks
