I think Africa cities should also focus on more of pedestrian walkways so that people won't walk in muddy .

It's alright in comparison to most other African capitals. But 'super modern' is more like Doha, Dubai and Shanghai etc etc. Nairobi still has some distance though i hope they get there.

Don't worry, Rome was not build in a day. Kenya is beautiful, blessed with abundant nature and wildlife, Whitesand beaches, Mountains, Lakes, Rivers, it's a democratic country with substantial amount of political freedom where even the head of state can be insulted, sued and nothing happens to the accuser. Kenya has over 89% of internet user penetration [9 out of 10 Kenyans access the internet on daily basis]. Kenyans are well educated, free spirited people, welcoming to all manner of foreigners and the list can go on and on. We are not perfect but we like progress. Today even a person living in the remotest village in Kenya with no bank account has a mobile bank account through Mpesa.

In dubai and Doha you cannot enjoy weather in Shangai pullution the idea is livable city. This cities have a lot to match Nairobi greenery and favourable weather. Sky crippers means nothing if you must have AC to live in the city.or wear mask.

As a Nairobian I disagree , go to downtown and also most residential areas are quite lacking in terms of development.

Even you can come to Kenya and own something for yourself if you are creative and we don't get jealous about it. Kenya nonetheless is owned by Kenyans that is why we fought for our independence because unlike the Caribbeans where the British took the African slaves and left them there because it was too hot, the British wanted to live in Kenya permanently due to our good weather, cool highlands and warm coastal beaches hence the reason as to why we had to fight in order to get back our land. And guess what? the British left and land was given back to indigenous Kenyans from the Coast to the Lake. Being a capitalist country, we own the land ourselves but there is also enough land left for foreigners to come and buy if they so wish as Kenya allows foreigner to own land as opposed to many other African countries. Kenya also has adopted the progressive immigration system just like in many of the Western countries in that, if you are born in Kenya, you can claim Kenyan citizenship and if you live in Kenya legally for 7 years, you can apply for permanent residence and then claim Kenyan citizenship. Very very few African countries allow such progression of an immigrant from a limited visa to permanent and then citizenship.
