It's alright in comparison to most other African capitals. But 'super modern' is more like Doha, Dubai and Shanghai etc etc. Nairobi still has some distance though i hope they get there.
Don't worry, Rome was not build in a day. Kenya is beautiful, blessed with abundant nature and wildlife, Whitesand beaches, Mountains, Lakes, Rivers, it's a democratic country with substantial amount of political freedom where even the head of state can be insulted, sued and nothing happens to the accuser. Kenya has over 89% of internet user penetration [9 out of 10 Kenyans access the internet on daily basis]. Kenyans are well educated, free spirited people, welcoming to all manner of foreigners and the list can go on and on. We are not perfect but we like progress. Today even a person living in the remotest village in Kenya with no bank account has a mobile bank account through Mpesa.
In dubai and Doha you cannot enjoy weather in Shangai pullution the idea is livable city. This cities have a lot to match Nairobi greenery and favourable weather. Sky crippers means nothing if you must have AC to live in the city.or wear mask.
A few buildings here and there and you say its developed?? Laughable!!Onyesha downtown which is the larger part of Nairobi and is filthy dirty ,congested with walkways full of potholes
Biggest joke of the year. I have seen your username many times and you have the proclivity to make inflammatory comments about Nigeria everytime. Lagos alone has three CBD, let alone Nigeria as a whole. Stop deluding people online bcuz some people are so gullible to believe everything they hear.🤣🤣🤣
It's not, our brother here only went to the nice parts of cbd town. Tell him to take you to the places where the poor live... Then see if we're "developed"
That's what the western media has conditioned you to think and expect to see. So you can't appreciate anything good about Africa. Mind shackles, so sad.
Visit and find out. Do you see any whyt people anywhere? We built it we own it. This is Kenya! .. not some banana republic with sh*t owned by some foreign goons.
Even you can come to Kenya and own something for yourself if you are creative and we don't get jealous about it. Kenya nonetheless is owned by Kenyans that is why we fought for our independence because unlike the Caribbeans where the British took the African slaves and left them there because it was too hot, the British wanted to live in Kenya permanently due to our good weather, cool highlands and warm coastal beaches hence the reason as to why we had to fight in order to get back our land. And guess what? the British left and land was given back to indigenous Kenyans from the Coast to the Lake. Being a capitalist country, we own the land ourselves but there is also enough land left for foreigners to come and buy if they so wish as Kenya allows foreigner to own land as opposed to many other African countries. Kenya also has adopted the progressive immigration system just like in many of the Western countries in that, if you are born in Kenya, you can claim Kenyan citizenship and if you live in Kenya legally for 7 years, you can apply for permanent residence and then claim Kenyan citizenship. Very very few African countries allow such progression of an immigrant from a limited visa to permanent and then citizenship.
I think Africa cities should also focus on more of pedestrian walkways so that people won't walk in muddy .

Doha , Abu dhabi , Dubai etc was built by slave labor from..Bangladesh,Nepal, Phillipines etc

This video captured a very small section of Nairobi 😢, as per the title i expected to see a better video,,,In 20 yrs time, it will be a massive city 🔥
Point of correction, Nairobi city has a population of 6.2 million, not 4.3
The is still lot of work to be done to be the best city in Africa
Exactly, a lot of work needs to be done. But some ppl hate when we say it, deflect and become angrily disrespectful.
That's y it is developing rapidly because the workings can be seen. 😊😊
Housing is modern but the roads remain dusty compared to Kigali
Kigali is a district in Nairobi
Love it
Man, to fast, slow down.
As a Nairobian I disagree , go to downtown and also most residential areas are quite lacking in terms of development.
Try that in Chicago also

I see stagnation
Kenya is more developed than Nigeria. In fact Nigeria has no CBD.

Who built it? Who owns' it? Who controls it? If not the Natives, then I don't care.
Unlike s.africa where the state is 90%owned by whites ..in kenya its the opposite...the natives own their country by 92%
