Hello, beautiful family! I think that buying a property in Nairobi is such a great idea. I would like to buy a house in Kenya, in the future. I love this country and I love Afrika. ❤️🇰🇪✨
Those asking if Kenyans can own property in the West, answer is yes, Kenyans can own properties in the West; a significant number already do, and I personally do as well. However, the challenges lie in the discourses surrounding "immigrants" versus "investors," which highlight the global imbalance of power and resources. Additionally, we as Kenyans must shift our mindset away from simply "running away" and start seeing Kenya as a land full of untapped potential.
This is absolutely correct. Anyone can own property in the West, just as they can in Kenya. When it comes to living there it can be a different matter due to visa requirements etc. which is also true in Kenya. I personally wouldn't consider ourselves to be either investors or immigrants at the moment as we don't actually have a permanent residence anywhere, and haven't bought a property in Kenya either. We just love the country and wish to do our part to showcase it to the world ❤️
@ … you have all the rights! As you state, regardless of the context, all legal procedures should be followed. I am a Kenyan who has lived in Scandinavia for years and invested here. My mention of the discourse around “immigrants” versus “investors/expats” stems from a biased perspective, those moving from the Global South to the Global North are predominantly labeled as “immigrants,” whereas those moving from the Global North to the Global South are often referred to as “investors” or “expats.” Despite my contributions as both an academic and an investor, I still find myself broadly categorized as an “immigrant,” highlighting the unequal framing applied on a systemic level. But changes are happening at micro and macro levels.
It’s such a shame that this is the case for you (and others). To be honest I spend so little time in my own country that I never see this kind of thing, however you are certainly not the first person that I’ve heard this comparison from, and it saddens me. Thank you for sharing your perspective 🙏
@@WhereNextFamilyit's easy to own a property in Kenya guys, so that when you visit you don't have to be paying for hotels when you showcasing our beautiful country. We love you guys, you lot are amazing.
Thank you for another great video of the Nairobi area. My wife and I often stay in Tatu city via Airbnb. It's always great to see you guys enjoying many of our favourite places, including Cultiva. Great work. Thanks again.

I recently invested in a new property that is going up now in Westlands. I am based in the US. Thanks for this video because now I am seriously considering investing in Tatu city as well. BTW, the video opening was epic 🥰
How now? I support human integration 100%. I am a Kenyan living in Europe and I know quite a number of Kenyans owning properties here. There are always good and bad people everywhere. Being good or bad is one's own choice.
As long as whomever moves to this country (Kenya) appreciates the local customs, behaviours, history and it's people, one should be fine. Issue stems when the visitors try to push their agenda or illicit behaviours/acts that are against the local people's beliefs, culture, religion and activities. We haven't traveled there for a while but your video brought back lovely memories. Very good efforts.
@@DRventura333 Buying property or buying property safely has little to do with social respect. Kenyans themselves are subjected to the most bizarre situations, in lots of cases, when buying property. And I believe the issue of the video was “buying property in Kenya” 😉
I just love the way Malia is soo happy😅😍She so cute ❤Your videos are always so nice. I just miss Kenya when i see this it's like i'm learning all these places from you guys.
@@WhereNextFamily That’s so adorable! 😂 It’s amazing how kids have that natural charm to brighten up any moment, even when they’re grumpy. Most of us cant afford to buy land in Kenya but its because we are not working hard enough, lets work hard guys... Welcome to Kenya, you deserve the best.
I think it’s great and I’m usually against developers 😂 Dean seemed lovely. Nice to see a fellow Aussie in Kenya 😍 maybe one day we’ll be neighbours Adam! 😂
I totally agree! There are so many developments going up that are destroying the countryside and forests. What I liked about Tatu city is their mission to preserve, and even develop green spaces. There’s even talk of a potential wildlife conservancy as well which would be fantastic. Haha watch this space 😉
Livestock have right of way in the traffic code, but the herder must indicate and signal to vehicles to stop, and he must be reasonable in time. I dont what part of the code in the UK that was brought in from. The Maasai are the only ones allowed to herd in Nairobi, and carry weapons.
Oh interesting, I had no idea that they officially have right of way. I thought it was just an unwritten rule to avoid damage from both sides! I love it 🙂
One of the benefits of Tatu city is that it’s a private International company responsible, so much less likely to have money disappearing through the back door 😉 I’m not sure the same can be said for Konza city
Kenya is a beauty to invest in but the system favors the rich and wealthy kicking out the rest. I don’t see the reason why working Kenyan citizens shouldn’t be offered flexible options to own properties just like they do in some foreign countries.
Agreed! Although I would say that typically this flexible housing you mention is not all it’s cracked up to be, and typically still leaves people unhappy
I think if you consider everything else about where it is situated with its own power and water supply, not reliant on government services etc. it makes sense that it’s more expensive.
This channel is very underrated, good job
