Yay! I love this hike! As often as I have hiked it, I never get tired of it. Wow, you hit it perfect for the bloom! If you go to Miese meadow up to showers lake the flowers are all over the hill going up to Showers Lk. It’s even more spectacular. So glad you got to go. I have not been yet this year😢. I’ve been working 4 and 5 days a week, and catch up on the week ends. Week ends are too busy up there also. But I’ve been really busy getting ready for a trip with my daughter. We leave Tuesday for Scotland then England for my great nieces wedding. Poor me. It won’t be hot there! A refreshing change. I’ll have to make it up there in late August. I did go to Miese a month ago, it was still snow on the ground, but a great hike. I love how you video your trips. It’s what I always wanted to do for years, and now there’s the technology. Beautiful! Looks like you hit it just right. Was on the Rainbow Trail yesterday. So many of these flowers are blooming there too. Mid-summer in the Sierra is just magical. Thanks for taking us along on your walk.
I was on that trail today! I got there around 7:30 and was surprised to see the main parking almost full. You must have been a little behind me. I stopped and talked to the older women that are by the lake in one of your shots and then they were a little behind me as I made it to Winnemucca. The flowers were super pretty! Not as crazy as I have seen it some years, but still beautiful!

I was just in glacier park last week, the flowers weren't as good as you saw... Amazing. There was lots of bear grass in glacier this year
