PLEASE NOTE: If wondering, I used the utmost care when filming the driving sections. Eyes were always on the road, not the camera and rarely did I shoot with other cars and people in immediate proximity.
Hey Americas Parks, glad to hear your moving to your new house in Michigan. Ive spent time in Michigan and its amazing. I may come find you Randy. Glad the family is doing well, My friend.
I have fond memories of traveling this road in the 90's with my late wife who I miss so terribly. I called her the tour director; before the internet she would get books and research all the best places and vistas to see.❤
GNP had been on my bucket list for 40 years, and I finally got there in 2019. I've been to most of the national parks in the lower 48, and the majesty here is unequaled. It will forever be my favorite national park.
This video was stunning.. I am saving this one! The beauty of our Lords creation and what He has provided for us fills my heart with joy. Thank you once again!
Spectacular as always - greetings from a fellow NJ resident - My wife and I were at GNP the same time in Sept 2023 (I was looking for you). GNP is truly a gift from God to be enjoyed by us. This park is now in my top 5 and a must for outdoor lovers. Thank you for making these inspiring videos. God Bless you and your family. Wishing you all the best !!!
That was a really encouraging and edifying comment! Just shared your remarks with my wife. Wish we would have run into each other! God bless my NJ friend!
I will NEVER forget my drive on Going to the Sun Road. Even before I got there the name told me it was going to be something special. Being the driver I wasn't able to take it all in quite as much as I would have liked. Your video gives that to me. It's breathtaking! Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful! This might be the one park that I want to see the most -- and to drive down the same road end-to-end. When Buzz Aldrin stepped on the surface of the Moon, he said that it was "magnificent desolation." When I see the views contained in this video, all that I see and feel is magnificent jubilation! Just last week, I watched a film entitled "Chariots of Fire." In one scene, Scottish athlete Eric Liddell referred to God when he told his sister, "...and when I run, I feel his pleasure." When I see videos like this, I just kind of feel an overwhelming sense of awe regarding God's creation. It really is very good.
Appreciated the encouraging words! Absolutely, God's creation displays His invisible attributes. He made all these things that we might see Him (Psalm. 19, Romans 1), be drawn to Him and place our trust in Jesus Christ for relationship with Him. Like you said, creation, as beautiful as it is, always points to this higher end!
I drove the Going to the Sun Road from west to east at sunrise on September 14th last year. I’ll never forget it as long as I live. The experience stirred my soul.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Glacier National Park lends it self wonderfully to this style of video. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure. Glacier is on my to-do list for 2026!
The entire video is stunning and beautifully edited ! if I had to choose the best scene or frame then the low angle shot of the red kayak with the lake and mountains in the background stole the show !! Brilliant, thank you for inspiring us
I want to thank you and others for the encouragement that you give to others. With yourself and the other people I follow, I have seen 33 national parks (8 in Canada) in 53 weeks. The influences that I have seen by you and the multiple vloggers have encouraged me to see not only National Parks but the rest of the country as well. I feel like the Griswolds going to Wally World. Though you will out hike me all day long I now see things that I could only see online, but because of you and the other people I follow, I am out doing things I would not have done 10 years ago. For that, I am eternally grateful. Thank you for what you do.
@@barbieardelean1721 There are pullouts and places to park on parts of Going To The Sun Road but they are limited and if you plan on hitting the Highline Trail or Hidden Lake Overlook Trail at Logan's Pass you better be there early because the visitor center parking fills up fast.
@@barbieardelean1721 There are pullouts and a few places to park on Going To The Sun Road. If you plan on stopping at either of The Highline Trail or Hidden Lake Overlook Trail, I would suggest getting there as early as possible because the parking lot at Logan Pass fills up quickly, even in the off-season.
35+ years of hiking/biking/climbing/skiing/camping Glacier are forever etched in my mind. 6000+ trail miles, over 100 peak summits, hundreds of miles on my bike during plowing season, x-country skiing, and dozens upon dozens of nights of back country camping and fishing. i miss Glacier Park.....but love where i'm at. enjoying retirement at 8500' in the Andes. Ecuador is beautiful.... thanks for the memories. i took few videos during my time there. appreciate it!
This series of videos from GNP is simply stunning Randy! I was actually there last Fall around the same time as you and I’m truly sad I missed you…it was my first trip out there and definitely won’t be my last…the beauty in that park is incredible and probably my favorite NP so far! Thanks so much for sharing as always and yes this last video on Going to the Sun Road with all the highlights is quite helpful…I can see now I missed some great overlooks!! On the list for next time!! Happy Trails🌲
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I always sense God's presence in Glacier. There are many special parks and many great roads in them, but I fell in love with Glacier as a boy back in the 70s and that love has never waned. Taking my own children twice was a true blessing and my wife and I hope to return at least a couple more times before the Lord call us home--this video reminded me of the incredible beauty one finds there. God bless you for ALL the videos you have shared over the past few years. Many brought back memories and some prompted ideas for our trips. Best wishes to your entire family.
I lived in Polson for 5 years when I was in high school in the late 80s, early 90s, and we went up to Going to the Sun Road at least once every summer. I havent been there in 20 years, and now its so packed its hard to get in without reservations. Truly God's handiwork is on display. Jaw dropping scenery.
Randy, what a great reminder of my drive through there 40 years ago. I also had really good weather, maybe better, since it didn't rain on me. This was on my drive home from Alaska. Thanks for taking us along.
As much as I enjoyed the Going-to-the Sun Highway & West Glacier, my favorite place was the Two Medicine Lake area in East Glacier. I stayed for half of my trip in East Glacier & the second half in West Glacier. I did hikes on both sides of Two Medicine Lake & loved it. I even did a painting of the lake a couple of years ago and it remains one of my favorites! I always enjoying your NP adventures😊
Well now you've REALLY done it! I have been trying to decide where I want to go in late Spring 2025 and this video pushed me over the edge... In a good way. 😃I realized that I haven't been to Glacier since 1983 and it's LONG past due to get reacquainted with this wonderful area!
Awesome video! That’s how I film. I let the park speak for itself. A few captions to remember the names of places and it’s plenty informative for others to follow. I’ll be GNP in July. But first, Alaska. Keep up the great work. Your videos are so helpful as I journey to every National Park.
Fantastic footage RMac! I have been there, but when I went the road was closed due to a landslide-someday I will go back and experience the full thing!
I have been to many places in the world. I have seen glacier in the arctic, desert in the Sahara, dried beach of Dead Sea, beautiful mountains of Patagonia and Swiss Alps. Last year I did a road trip from NY to Oregon, and I stopped by national and state parks along the way including this one. Sometimes I camped in the park. I realized there is no need to get out of America. We have all of these beautiful sceneries. We are truly blessed. Good job on filming the park, brings me back all the good memories.
A different style video for you, but I loved it too! Thanks for the tour and showing us the stops along the GTS Road. I hope you enjoyed your hike free day. Lol.
It's such a beautiful park. Your video/photography work was awesome. I took a solo trip after retirement to GNP last yr at about this time. Lived out of my truck bed. Alot of trails were still closed due to the snow, but I was lucky enough to have RTTS open the 2nd day I was there. Totally unexpected but was so glad it happened. It was icing on the cake. Thanks for the video. New subscriber who has a lot of your past videos to catch up on😊
My favourite national park and favourite national park vlogger have produced my favourite national park asmr video 🙂 Thank you for this and your huckleberry milkshake is making me hungry for one!
Pastor, I kept waiting for you to say something. The longer I waited I appreciated more the way it was done. We were set to fly to Calgary and do Glacier too. Then Covid hit, gates closed and the trip cancelled. Coming from Cleveland.

For more than a decade, signs at Glacier National Park warned visitors that the glaciers would be gone by the year 2020 - now those signs where quietly removed.
"There are huge non climate effects of carbon dioxide which are overwhelmingly favorable which are not taken into account. To me that's the main issue that the earth is actually growing greener. This has been actually measured from satellites the whole earth is growing greener as a result of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. So it's increasing agricultural yields, it's increasing the forests, it's increasing all kinds of growth in the biological world and that's more important and more certain than the effects on climate." ~Freeman Dyson, Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey.
Interesting how the Lord gets credit for all the beauty, but none of the pain. He creates this, but lets millions of children starve every day. Good Lord!
So much is a mystery, of course living in a sin-cursed world factors in. Wish I had all the answers, but rejecting Him is certainly not the way to go. Faith has to kick in that He is loving, wise and sovereign. I'll do what I can to bring help to the suffering and leave the rest to Him.

I was there on September 19. From what I remember, service at the park was beginning to close for the season.
@@AmericasParks thanks for your reply . I'm planning a trip there in early September and I have some concerns about how dry it will be.
Is this safe road for motorcycles
I'd do some research, but yes, I believe it's perfect for motorcycles.
Where did you get the Huckleberry milk shake?
It was in one the few shops in Apgar Village - one of the buildings selling merchandise closest to the lake.
If you're going to drive this road, bring your balls and your wits, you're going to need them. Beautiful sights btw! Worth the nerves.
