01:40, if you watch any crash test ever done.. seatbelts keep the rear occupants pretty much in their seats. So if you smack your face on the back of the seat in front you, that’s on you for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Nice to see Ford is listening to you and others who have made suggestions to improve the vehicle. I know Kyle Conner just did a recent video about updates he would like to see also. Keep up the good work Mitchell, I enjoy your channel, even though I am in Canada, I can enjoy a good ole boy from Alabama and his content.
Actually, at least in Europe, you can open the front-trunk from the key fob, from the screen and of course pulling the handle. Unfortunately though, in Europe we don’t get Bluecruse 😩
Thanks for this update on Drive Electric. I am watching the development of Blue Cruise, and as an older commercial driver, I want that technology on my next vehicle to reduce my workload on road trips. I read an article that was an interview with someone at Ford that said the current generation of electric vehicles cannot support 'eyes off the road' driving. It requires redundancy in sensors, steering control, and braking. Now I'm looking forward to the next generation of electric vehicles.
nice video! i wonder what Chris Farley would think if he saw you put his cousin, Chris, in the video. I wish BlueCruise would work here in Los Angeles more often. I can get it to work maybe for like five minutes before it asks me to take over.
Good stuff. Didn't the mach e debut officially in Dec of 2020 though with the very first customer deliveries? Kinda interesting to compare a 2020 model y vs a 2020 mach e. And then a 2023 4680 Y with castings heat pump etc vs a 23 mach e. I wonder if Ford is the legacy auto tesla just shared is negotiating for fsd access? 🤔
You can fully unlock the frunk from either the screen under settings (a 2 "button"" push to complete the task) or from the phone app. The manual control is only needed if the car is off and you don't have your phone.
I dont Know what the last one you drove was but stuff like that dash texture was there is 21. I do agree with the hood / frunk. I would also like to no why we have to max defrost buttons and why one is next to the head lights. And if ford is waching please fix the speed limit sign software if a road in not marked after a sign show noting not 25mph.
Youre 6’3. I am 6’1. I have put almost 1000 miles on our ‘23 GT perf Mach E. Love the car. Tell me this… have you found a sweet spot with the steering wheel that allows you to see all of the instrument cluster? I keep finding myself dipping my head down to see the whole display thru the wheel. I also think the GT perf pkg should at least contain the track apps found in other ford performance models. What do you think?
That 0-60 time is really off on a GT Performance model? Did you have Unbridled Extend on? If so, turn it off. That is for prolonged race track use - not drag track - and will cause 0-60 times to suffer significantly. It is meant to be used for long race track use and inhibits the power so the battery can give consistent power over longer times. In other words, it turns off the 5 second boost you get.
I live in alamaba Would love to drive a mustang Mach e Tired of paying gas and oil in my truck that have 400k miles to it oof also my dad daily drives a 1968 Gto Cost my dad 80 bucks to fill up his gto for ever 30 min ride lol off Not fun nbut looks cool
Too bad they didn't update the tech like the lagging screen and the maps and the charging. So no real update like discussed on tech but that's a salesman for you
Drop the off-axis offset shot thing where the presenter is looking and speaking at another camera. It’s not good editing. It’s not artistic. It’s just bad. There’s a reason why it’s not done.
I agree! The Model A was the best car ever made. The leather bearings kept the engine quiet. Everything went downhill when they got rid of the hand crank. Damn new technology ruined everything.

Nice Chris Farley impression!
The late Chris Farley was, in fact, a cousin of Ford CEO Jim Farley.
All Mach E’s built after July 1 will feature Blue Cruise 1.3. OTA updates for BC 1.3 will begin soon for all Lightnings and Mach E.
ha
They've changed the frunk compartment on later '23 models too. Two drain holes instead of one and it's more of a grated pattern.
Let's hope a power frunk shows up on future MME models
We should start a petition! 😂
crackin me up with the chris farly impersonation 🤣

Nice job. You can unlock the frunk by typing in your 5 digit pin code and then pressing & hold 7/8 + 9/0 on the keypad!
Nice review!
What the Mach e really needs is ventilated seats! A/C better yet... Massaging seats would also be a plus...
It’s nice they added the lane change feature
they in fact, have not
Not an EV owner as yet, but i find your videos interesting and educational. Keep up the good work.

You can get into the frunk using the app as well!

The trunk opens as well from the sync screen and via the fob and the PAAK via the app. So no biggy

Okay you got me working in 108 hot outside
Ford needs to open up the full power limit on the GT from 5 seconds to 10 seconds, 5 seconds is just too short.
You can fully unlock the frunk from either the screen under settings (a 2 "button"" push to complete the task) or from the phone app. The manual control is only needed if the car is off and you don't have your phone.
Also the keypad on the side door as well can open the frunk. your code, then 7-8
Great Mach-e update and test drive!
Thanks for starting the channel 👍
Drive Electric Alabama supports what you are doing!!

Thank you!

How big is the ride difference in the performance trim with the magnaride?
Does it still have the 5 second limiter and cut your power to 50% when you stay on the pedal?
I have a 2021 Mach E, I don't have the lane change with the signal on my blue cruise. Is this a paid feature?
Excellent review aka update. Now if only I can get one without the dealer add one. Till that BS stops I’ll be in my Tesla.

I imagine a trunk in the front is not the most convenient when loading groceries in the parking lot.

Now they need to fix the cruise control camera for all 2021 models as it’s now useless and shows the error light the whole time driving.
But you’re 6’ 3 you can just reach around the car to unlock the frunk
I live in alamaba Would love to drive a mustang Mach e

Out of curiosity, do you have enough charging stations in Alabama?
Well that's a far cry from 3.5 seconds
Too bad they didn't update the tech like the lagging screen and the maps and the charging. So no real update like discussed on tech but that's a salesman for you
There are no secrets. It’s been discussed on the Mach-e forum.
Eh. Still power throttle. No updates really .
That Mach-E looks good in the thumb nail. Hopefully the fixed the interior and made it quieter than the prior version.
There is a Frunk and back hatch release button on Large screen and in the Phone as a key..Ford.Pass..You would thinking you would know that
*Promo SM* 🌸
The body design is a big NO for me.
Drop the off-axis offset shot thing where the presenter is looking and speaking at another camera. It’s not good editing. It’s not artistic. It’s just bad. There’s a reason why it’s not done.
Does not look good at all
You got it wrong, it's called the MOCK E since it's a travesty to real Ford owners. Thanks I am here all week.
I agree! The Model A was the best car ever made. The leather bearings kept the engine quiet. Everything went downhill when they got rid of the hand crank. Damn new technology ruined everything.
