One of my hobbies is drawing fantasy maps of cities. They are generally based on large modern cities. I don't tell many people because they usually laugh, but I love drawing and imagining what it would be like to visit my own creation.
@@leocioffi7032JRR had many draft maps and a very detailed massive map of middle earth that Christopher then drew a scaled down contour map for the first edition of LOTR.
I agree, I love the tapping. But also just the whole intro. It’s usually all I watch lol. But it’s very nice and I’d love a compilation of a bunch of intros layered
Absolutely fantastic! I love Tolkien's Lore and content so much. I've been waiting for you to do a Middle Earth Map since you did the Map of the Lonely Mountain and I have to say this is by far my favourite of all your great works thus far!
My favorite map of all time, thank you for doing this! I would really love to see a map of Beleriand someday too. I know not everyone has read the Silmarillion, but there is so much amazing lore and locations there.
The funny thing is that I absolutely HATE the sounds made for ASMR. The noises make my skin crawl and make me want to scratch off my ears. 😭 But I LOVE the visuals of ASMR videos. I love watching people clean carpets, paint, write, exfoliate skin, power wash sidewalks and so on. So I often watch these on mute or with some other sound in the background (I’m getting ready for bed so I have a cricket noise machine on). This is one of my favorites so far because I love when I find something that includes my love of Tolkien’s works. 💖

Watching this video felt like I was being transported to Middle-earth itself. The delicate sounds of the pen on paper were so soothing. Thank you very much for sharing this
@@ASMRctica no man. Thank you! You have been my favorite ASMR channel for 4 years now. And I have lost count of the hours of sleep you have imbersed me with.

I live in the mountains and love to ski. I think it would be cool to see you draw a ski resort map of different runs. A little different than your normal maps but it could be cool!

Love it! I find myself coming back to your old ME and game of thrones maps alot! I would love to see an "old type" of map for maybe Westeros and/or Essos, Beleriand and maybe a map of the lands where the Narnia books/movies take place! I am a huge fantasy fan so being able to listen/watch you draw maps from some of my favorites while relaxing and going to sleep is amazing!!
I have been watching your videos for a while they have always been great. I enjoy how knowledgeable you are on the topics, the quality of the videos, and minimal cuts. May I suggest that you do the continent of Pyrrhia from the Wings of Fire series some time?
This is really well done, however, I would suggest putting some audio plug-in on your feed to get rid of the low ground noise/hissing. It’s just about the same level of where your markings scratch against the paper. If you were to denoise audio, then we can focus, purely on the scratch marks on the page. Just a thought!
Thanks for the tips! I'm trying to reduce the noise but i find it very tricky. Noise reduced audio can sometimes sound very strange and unnatural. But i'll do my best :)
@@ASMRctica you are absolutely correct. It can be very tricky because simply because of how very quiet your target recording is. Completely understandable! You are doing great! Brilliantly done. The Middle-Earth map was actually drawn by Christopher Tolkien.
JRR Tolkien too, no?
@@leocioffi7032JRR had many draft maps and a very detailed massive map of middle earth that Christopher then drew a scaled down contour map for the first edition of LOTR.
Pretty sure Bilbo Baggins drew it during his retirement in Imladris. ;)
If you play this at 1.5x speed, the artist sounds like he’s at normal speed and the drawing and sound are amazing too at that speed
Idk why but i find your intro extremely relaxing, I’d like to watch an hour long version of your intro
