Hi from Spain, actually modern Spain was unified in 1492 when “El Reino Nazarí de Granada” surrendered to the catholic Kings (Isabel la católica y Fernando II de Aragón)
I don't totally agree with this, it wasn't until the 18th-19th century that Spain became the country that it's today.
Hubo una unificación dinástica pero no política ni nacional. Las Coronas de Aragón y Castilla siguieron teniendo sus propias instituciones. Y de hecho en el primer testamento de Fernando el Católico se separaban reinos, no quedaban en las mismas manos. Finalmente quedaron en manos de Carlos, tras el último testamento.

Shocked has a somewhat negative connotation in English. You could say surprised or pleasantly surprised instead. Like, shocked is used if the surprise is not so pleasant. "I'm shocked you could be so careless!" for example.
Your drawing videos are my favorite ASMR content to watch and relax to. You should draw a map of Hungary one day, I would love to see you go through our 19 counties and many rivers. Until then, I will enjoy whatever videos you post, they are always lovely 😴

Lol I just visited Spain to hike the Camino from Baiona to Santiago de compostela. Not to nitpick also but I did not hear you mention the route to Santiago my group took, which went from Portugal North to Santiago along the coast

An interesting fact, nowadays, the term reconquista is being revisited by academic scholars, as it was not a reconquest but rather a conquest. The term for what happened came later with the raise of nationalism, back then people didn't use that word and for instance the conquest arrived just to Ceuta and Melilla that are cities on the North of Africa, outside the peninsula. Also, the existence of Portugal that before the Muslims settled down was non-existent, and they weren't invaded... so it's a complex topic!
