In this Zbrush beginner tutorial I go over all the most important tools that Zbrush has to offer and more! I aim to continue with a higher production level moving forward, something I have been wanting to do for a long time. :) Let me know your thoughts!
I wish you would continue to create another breakthrough tutorial of Zbrush (and others in the future) that moves into sculpting, animation, render, and under the shortest possible amount of time covering all what we need to be professionals. If you did that you will be a legend in RUclips 👑and highly recommended 🙂(you already reached over 133k views in this video !! numbers don't lie)
@@unit102 Those are very kind words! Life is so crazy at the moment and I don’t have the income or spare time to make videos full time unfortunately 😭😭 Some day I would love to return to the RUclips life.
with it in a few weeks or months if I pour enough ti and effort into it. I'll be watcNice tutorialng many more of your videos for tips and inspiration.
it'a a nice intro but the information given in such a little time is so much to remember most of the things, but yeah it is great much better than other tutorial which will take 2 hours
ugh... I wish I had the tiem to learn this too but it's just not possible. Unfortunantly I have to keep working with people off of upwork. It's so frustrating.
Don’t lose hope! Maybe some day you’ll be able to make time, even if it’s just 1 hour per day :) Life is always changing. Sometimes its tough to squeeze in time for creativity when we work and have school, but it won’t always be that way. Never give up on your art!
I enrolled a 3d modeling course in one of big, world known studios. Maya teacher is great but Zbrush teacher doesn't explain as good as you do so after an hour long class... I learned less than from this video. Obviously, I had to look for it on RUclips. Very useful! I will go through your channel, this is awesome!
I really appreciate this style of intro tutorial. One of the biggest challenges for me when learning 3D skills from RUclips tutorials is that videos aimed at absolute beginners tend to go through every step very slowly and digress a lot, and as badly as I want to pay attention my brain immediately starts bouncing off the walls wanting to get started instead of learning every part of the UI. And the biggest problem with that is that most 3D software--and Zbrush in particular--is not friendly to poking around without some grounding, because there are prerequisite steps for many basic functions that are very easy to get stuck on, and the answers to "How do I ____?" are often found in the intro videos. I'm grateful to everyone who does tutorials and this mostly comes down to how I learn, but getting through the basics so quickly made it really easy for me to follow. Even though I've been using Zbrush for about a year I learned a lot from this, especially the logic behind why some functions work the way they do.
I second this. It's especially hard if you already have experience with 3D and other programs and you want to transpose it to another software, like Zbrush. I quickly lose interest when I get taken from ground 0 and I might end up not paying attention to very crucial info that's been planted there, just because I got distracted. I then get frustrated and abandon the thing I want to learn. I like a 'sculpting' approach. Chisel out a large shape, then focus on minute details later depending on your needs.
thanks for the quick start. I've used maya. I've used unity. I've used many adobe products. I've used visual studio. I've used other various 3d tools. And. Without a doubt. WITHOUT. A DOUBT. Zbrush has the absolute worst UI ever designed by man, in the history of any software ever, and probably for the rest of time. When it's somehow even worse than Maya, it's BAD. I spent like 5 minutes trying to figure out how to just start a new freaking document. It's downright byzantine, nothing is alphabetized, it's just... random. And seriously, another freaking set of 3D translation/rotation hotkeys? Going between Unity and Maya was already a nightmare, now I have to remember this one 😂Anyways, happy detailing everyone.
Horseshit As a beginner you can't even understand how to properly import and place a model into zbrush within 8 minutes. Even after all these years zbrush has the worst UI
this is skipping so much important shit. if you do literally anything aside from what he shows, you'll probably lock yourself in a different situation & not know how to go back 😂this is just "random shit you might want to know about zbrush in 9 minutes" this did not help anyone learn zbrush as a whole or how to generally use it
This video was absolutely brilliant! So quick and methodical for all the important things. Never knew about the tablet menu, ill definitely have to check my settings in that. Thank you!
this is so helpful 🥺😭 please come back to youtube! (unless of course u cant for personal reasons, in which case i wish the best for you !!) much thanks from the philippines 💖
Not really helpful for complete beginners because it's too fast. I'd say this is a great video to watch after you get a handle on the interface etc. I must say after using Autodesk tools for 24 years, Zbrush is the most foreign interface for a 3D package I've ever seen.
love this one, switching from blender to zb, this really saves me a lot of time, thanks! (I just wanna start sculpting but I couldn't move Zbrush's viewport lol)
at first i thought, no way this can be helpful because how short it is- I was wrong! So very helpful to me- about one month into using zbrush for first time!
Thank goodness for pause, you are taking 9 minutes to ultra speed cram in about 5 hours worth intructions of which in reality would be extemely fast learning speed for any beginner, and you missed the part, how to delete and object.
Back in zbrush your vid reminded me all that I need to reenter sculpting! tysm +1sub (also other thing ill prob add is saving as ztl file don't save the timeline and your project is smaller in my old pc I lose some projects due to them crashing when opening)
2:02 who ever the hell invented these control scheme should be in jail, what the hell is wrong with normal mouse scroll? why do i have to hold alt, click AND THEN release alt jsut to zoom?
Thank you for this quick tutorial reference guide. It's a great way to go straight to whichever section of video one needs in order to get to the answer they need the quickest so workflow is affected as little as possible.
That is an excellent question! I will ponder which program(s) to do next :D Sub Painter is a big one, but I think I could do a “basics” video to get people started. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes good intruduction :) i wonder if you could make such video on the process how to bring model straight from zbrush to substance than to render like marmosete exp. you know general purpouse to make cool posed render aith some decimation. I discovered it's kinda tricky process and really would like to know what is the "proper way" of doing that. Thank you :)

Very interesting comment. I personally can't follow any guide unless it goes into detail on every single minuscule aspect of the program.
Yep. 3D software is challenging to learn.

Zbrush is way too convoluted. Mudbox is way better if you just want to get in and get out and get your model done. Zbrush is just a mess
