the rubber tired skid steer ; have been unloading railroad freight cars for many years.probably one of the best crews business has. The first skid steer were designed for cleaning 2nd story farm buildings of portly waste. = MELROW 444
The bob cat seems too cumbersome. I would have thought the digger would be fine on its on. A lot of what the bob cat is pushing would keep flowing into the center if they just let the crane operator dig a bit of a hole with his grapnel
@@nygellabelle2193 I didn't notice the title screen the first time I watched this. It says right at the beginning "Capetown 2013". Lived there and recognized it immediately.
If you ever watch How it is Made or Food Factory and other such other program showcasing food production, then you would know they clean the incoming not just once but a few times before processing into whatever they make it into.
@@MCatSHF ..guess so its just added to there diet to bulk them up quicker, they cant bulk out just eating grass, its just a matter of economics the cost of the food against the price of the animal
They are trying to get the cargo to an even level, so to avoid shifting. To achieve this, the cargo is distributed to all the parts of the hold without any empty spaces (bascially wall to wall within the hold) so the chance of shifting is lessened.
they are discharging the cargo not loading it ,soya meal as got a high angel of repose, its very gluppy it gels together with vibration and movement during the voyage and becomes very compact doesnt run freely like grain, look under the decks in hold how its all stuck together
Mark Stevens. Its not the operator..its the crane which os slow and the grab bucket has to wait till the piston goes all the way down..otherwise if you close it before it dous that it lifts with the bucket open. Its really frustatoing with a slow crane and an even slower bucket lol
Grain looks a little damp around the outside. I'd love to play in that big sandbox though!
Thanks, I had no idea. I guess they have to keep the tractors clean working in the soy and such.
They use vegetable grade oil and grease.
Talk about playing in the sandbox all day...
Literally!

RIP second owner of that machine.

This is probably is not for human consumption. There are many other uses for Soybeans.
probably for animal food and its meal not beans,bi-product of the soya bean
Why use a Bobcat when you have a digger in already. We unload Soy and a digger works just fine. 20tonner. Bobcat just in the way for no reason
And it can barely do it without getting stuck
I am wondering about the paint that gets worn of the machine buckets; is that FOOD GRADE?

its used for high protein animal feed usually pigs and cows

Not trimming the cargo, just asist ships crane to unload faster the cargo..most propably soya mil,ddgs,cgfp...
Looks like Soy meal or DDG, soon as you grab past the square it goes hard. Bobcat slowest of all
Can you explain the process here and purpose. Great video

Cenk Bolayir The grain is being worked to the large clam shell loader as it can only reach certain parts of the hold.. Little to do with shifting.

They're UNloading not loading.
Need nuclear power. Batteries are not enough. Diesel does not work with soy oil.
why so many haters lol
Animal feed.
Still hiring bulldozer operator in soya from Philippines
Bobcat must be the slowest method. A good excavator with opperator is far quicker.
What a waste of time that thing is. Good digger with a decent opp is all that's needed here
They need to train the crane operator. Slow as hell....
