I have a question Julian, and if anyone else has an answer I’m all ears. You talk about how we accept the fact that we feel shy and anxious as our default. But, you talk as if WE ALL should strive to be extroverted. Not everyone is and that’s just who they are. They are okay with it.
Ive always noticed that people associate being confident with being loud. I feel the most confident when I don’t have to prove myself to anyone, so I don’t even need to try and talk to them and impress them.
Just trying to figure out what the goal is here. I get that we are trying to let go and find that peace and confidence, but what if that confidence translates to someone who is soft spoken and not always social?

1:38:14 _"People can't work for more than an hour, they're all tired, but they can play _*_video games_*_ [for] 16 hours, 24 hours straight 'cause their relationship to is very different, there's not the same heaviness._
*_Shift your work to that_*_ and _*_working will be like playing a video game where you can just play and play and play_*_ and play and play and play and play, right?"_
      .
Question is: *how* to "shift work to that" mindset/effortlessness? How to release the heaviness from certain (boring) work tasks? 🤔
      .
I've been trying with different jobs/employers over the years, to reach such a state where I'm not experiencing the heaviness in day-to-day work. Lately I've been learning about *Flow State* thanks to Rian Doris and Steven Kotler. (Check out - www.youtube.com/@riandoris - if you want to know more).

100% agree with you. He is the only person who has changed my perspective completely. I have been depressed the last 2 years, and people say they are supposed to be the best years of your life. Well, they have sucked for me, which has only caused me to be more depressed. It felt like there was no way out, like I would just have to accept the rest of my life as this, this never being good enough, never believing in myself. I accepted that it would just have to suck because "I am me," which, in retrospect, makes no sense. In a way, I gave up on myself. But I was in a really dark place. I even started improving my fitness and diet to try and help, as well as tried to do more hobbies and things I loved. But at the end of the day, I circled back to that depression, that "never feeling good enough" mindset. Wishing I was just gone and that there was no point to me being here, etc.
When I started watching his videos, I literally cried. It was such a feeling of relief, it wasn't all over for me, the rest of my life didn't have to suck. And I had hope. Not just hope, I believed in myself. I knew that if I followed this path, it would ultimately lead to my success. Part of me was hungry for it, in a way I've never been before. It almost was like a challenge. Where I used to avoid social situations, I started talking more, and in a more confident way. What's better is how they react. They don't know me. They now assume I am confident. Now, every interaction can be a new challenge to improve my social skills and confidence level. I have hope for life and my future, and I don't feel like a failure. My self-worth is improving, and I can feel my fear of rejection subsiding slowly but surely. I haven't been doing this long at all, but I plan to keep watching him and implementing his teachings into my life. 🩷🩷🩷

It's not luck. It’s God who guided us here.
      Mark 1:15
“The time is fulfilled. The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, believe in the gospel.”
      1 John 5
“We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true-even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”
      John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him, should not perish but have eternal life.”

its something in Jungian psychology as well. The Persona and the Id. People put on personas depending on the company theyre in. They arent fake versions of yourself, since it would be inappropriate to talk to your mother the same way you do with your husband or wife, but they arent a pure form, just like you cant look at all sides of a cube at the same time.

For anyone that hates being on camera it's helpful (at least it's helping me) to realise that when you see yourself on camera, or on film, you see all of your insecurities, all of your flaws, all of the things you hate about yourself. When other people see you on camera they see the same person they see in real life. Think about it, when you see your ugly friend on camera (be honest, we all have ugly friends) do you think any differently to them on camera to how you do in real life? No! You see the person you love, exactly the same way you do every day, and that's what people see when they look at you. They see you. Not your flaws. Not your insecurities. Just you. The exact same thing they would see if they're looking at you in person. As long as you are being your true, authentic self, you should have nothing to be embarrassed or uncomfortable about.

In other words, people are only really conscious about themselves. We become so conscious about our looks and think other people can see our flaws but in reality, everyone cares about their own looks more. This is such a great perspective! I become so drowned with beauty standards sometimes that I forget I'm human.

Half way through the video and i am tempted to write this. As an addiction counsellor trying to use it for psycho education for social anxiety and confidence, this is amazing. Thank you so much. I recovered my severe social anxiety disorder and fortunately my mantra too was I am not above anyone and i am not below anyone. We are all crazies trying to figure out ourselves in this crazy world. The thing about plus and minus and judging people before they judge is so true. I let go of that belief intellectually and I am actually a very good public speaker now. Interesting thing my self- consciousness come back momentarily when I micro-dose weed in front of people giving a hint that There are still some traces of that unhelpful belief at a subconscious level. This video is just helping me so so so much. Thank you. I get it now I gotta work more on my micro-behavior. I still have more of a situational confidence than core confidence. Good luck to me and thank you sooo much for this.

I love the subtle language shift to social skills over previous alternatives lmao. Happy to see the underlying technology with regard to personal evolution of internal core confidence and the state which flows from that is still being developed. Awesome vid. I was practicing this for a while but also derived too much confidence from external reality so when I switched cities my old social structure was gone and fell into the trap of believing that my successes stemmed from that when really they stemmed from the ease and confidence I allowed myself to radiate because of those external situations. Re-learning to tap into that core without the externals, while at the same time working to improve the value I bring to the world through a means that I find compelling and inspiring because hey, elevating oneself up the social hierarchy never hurts either. But it is dangerous to derive one’s confidence from that position because if your external reality changes then so will your internal one, but if acting from your core, external reality circumstances don’t matter nearly as much, you are at ease either way.

One of the things I do is I think about why I'm afraid. Then, I think about what it is that I'm afraid of people discovering about me that I'm trying to hide from them. Then finally, no matter what that thing is, I try to learn to fully own it and learn to accept myself... [despite it being true]. It's a humbling process. Could you accept yourself IF you really were more awkward than everyone else? Or, IF you were the worst at getting women and social interactions? For me, I try to accept my fears as truths. This way, I'm not afraid of people discovering these things about me, bcuz I already fully accept myself with them being true. Tho, becoming comfortable with personal inadequacies doesn't stifle me from continually taking action to try to improve my inadequacies, bcuz I'm learning to accept myself, (with my flaws), but I'm not accepting the limitations it brings into my life.... [IF I can improve them].

It used to bother me that RSD moved away from the underground PUA niche and into something more broad scoped. However, my opinion has now changed and i'm extremely greatful that they've done this. Social anxiety effects both genders and in more scenarios than just dating. My girlfriend is from Seoul, South Korea and trying to integrate and adapt into the United States culture. Due to the culture shock of her circumstances (English being a new language for her) she could very well be considered a hard case newbie. I used to listen to RSD in private until one day she caught me. I was surprised by what happened next. Not only did she not get mad i was listening to PUA advice, she herself started watching it on her own. She's been watching these videos and is actually making incredible progress in her social skills. I can't even express how thankful I am of Tyler and Jullien. They've changed my life in soon many ways.

Hey Julian. I got an idea for ya.
You’re right, that you Can never “become enough”, because then you will always desire to become good enough. But what if you logically know that you are good enough, but you actually don’t feel it. Do i just accept the feeling feeling and THEN let it go? How do i do it?
    - as far as i understand, so everytime i dont feel good enough, i could let it go, by just letting the feeling be there as it is without judging the feeling (like echart tolle and David Hawking says)
But the Way i approach it in my mind is to accept the feeling over and over (maybe 1000 times) everytime it pops up, everytime i feel not good enough, i accept it as it is, and one day, i will automatically let it go by accepting it so many times and THEN i Can let it go and reframe how my real truths is instead of my fake truths for example that im not good enough, and then with my pressence i Can take a step back and really chance my limiting core beliefs to the real truth “that im good enough”
By actually writing it down and telling it to my self and believing it and now i have the real truth in my mind that im awesome as i am. I like that approach so much and it worked for me.
Thank you for free content and sharing.
    Keep up the good work
