  • WOWZERS! This bike was a ton of fun to ride, and I would encourage anyone with a CFMOTO dealership near them to go ride one if your dealer offers it. It's a solid 9/10 for the value it brings to the table with all of its incredible features and standard equipment.
    Fun Fact: An Ibex is a mountain goat.
    Don't forget to comment for the RevZilla gift card!
    Thanks for watching. See you in the next one.

    Sat on one this morning. Very impressive and great value for money. Faultless finish. Riding position and seat height excellent for my six feet. Handlebar position felt very natural. Crash bars and luggage racks as standard is a real bonus. Seat wide and comfortable. Pegs not too high although close in.

    I test rode this bike today and I was very impressed by it. I agree with the points made in the video. The list price of this bike is $10,999 US. A BMW F850GS similarly optioned with the TFT, heated grips and cruise control would cost $15,000. Also the IBEX comes with the side racks, crash bars and skid plate which would cost extra on most bikes.

    I really appreciate this review. It's also nice to see you out on I-70. As a native Missourian myself, now a Kansas-side KC transplant, I often go see family back near St. Louis. I don't think I'll work up to that journey on a bike anytime soon, but it's nice to see you out there nonetheless. I wonder if this would be a good bike for me... 6ft tall, 245lbs, Almost 40, have had back surgery, and somewhat new to riding. The value for what you get seems spot on, but although it does have ABS, it makes me nervous it doesn't have traction control. Appreciate your thoughts!

    • @Omni_Moto

      Missouri natives unite! 🤘
      This bike would fit you really well. The ergonomics would be great if you have back problems since they are so upright and proper, but a cruiser with a backrest would also be beneficial as well.
      Although traction control seems to be the only thing missing, all of the other creature comforts make up for it. The value for what you get is unbeatable in this class.
      Best of luck in your future potential motorcycle endeavors, and ride safe. Go chiefs! 😎

      @Omni Moto Had I known about the 800 when I bought my 650 I probably would have waited. The handguards, engine guards, center stand, fog lights, heated grips/seat, cruise control, 80/20 tires, and skid plate are all great features to have on an adventure bike at that price point. I was a little disappointed that the 650's didn't come with handguards and engine guards like the models sold in other countries did, plus I had to pull the stock street tires off and go with 70/30's to set it up for riding dirt. Would like to see you review the 800 sport model too and compare differences. The sport model is $1k cheaper so tempted to look at it too to save some money, but may not be worth the features you lose dropping down to that model.

    I live in Medellin Colombia we have bicyclist riding on the freeway between traffic. So weird here that very few riding laws are enforced you can ride the wrong way on one-way street or even up on sidewalks. The difference here is most people just aren't throttle happy. In 5 yrs never seen a bad accident bcs of the speed. Now riding up in the mountains everyone rides super fast if things go sideways it could get deadly. Thanks, great vid I think I will be looking at this bike. I have a daily cruiser yammi bolt 950. I’ve watched a few videos on this bike, including Ozarks Backroads who traded his VStrom 650 for the Ibex 800. I like the included accessories, tubeless tires, racks, and Cruise Control. But I have a deposit on the new VStrom 800 DE. Though it doesn’t have as many features, it’s more off-road capable and has a much bigger dealer network.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  Год назад +1

      CFMOTO’s dealer network is growing everyday. The most challenging part are obtaining the more intricate mechanical and electrical replacement parts like starters, rods, pistons, etc. With the Ibex, that _shouldn’t_ be issue given it’s a KTM heart/frame.
      CFMOTO is still building their foundation and reputation here in the states, so hopefully parts support+availability improve as they stick around. I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon.
      Good luck with the ‘Zuki though! It looks awesome and I’m sure it will live up to the Vstrom legacy of its predecessors. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎👍

    As a man, 6'5" 270lbs this bike feels good and ride with me well it just to high and heavy on top for me..

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  8 месяцев назад

      That seems to be the biggest obstacle to conquer for a lot of these mid-bore and big-bore ADV bikes. Lots of ground clearance usually means tall suspension, which puts most of the weight up high, so you're center of gravity suffers. There are solutions out there like KTM's Adventure 790/890 R that carry the fuel incredibly low, but it's not the prettiest solution and there is a price premium to be paid for the orange company.
      Hopefully, there will be a company in the future that will be able to create the unicorn middle-weight ADV bike enthusiasts are seeking.

I won't spend my money on a Chinese brand just because of my personal opinion on global politics right now, but if your concern is reliability keep in mind that companies typically don't offer 2 year warranties if they're not confident in their product... curious to see if these start becoming more common on the road!

    Thanks for the review on this. I am very interested in this motorcycle. You mentioned the slow speed maneuverability. Does the weight and top heavy feel make the slow maneuvers difficult? How is the clutch feel (light or heavy)? Thanks again for the videos.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  Год назад +3

      The weight does make it slightly top heavy off the stand, but low speed feels great right away. As a dealership sales guy, I pull out a variety of motorcycles everyday from sport bike to full-dressed baggers, so I get daily practice on bikes in the parking lot. That might give me an advantage, but I found the bike very easy to ride and do low speed maneuvers immediately.
      In the beginning of the video I was pulling tight circles and that was 3 minutes seat time, so as long as you’ve got some prior experience on other bikes, I’d say you can practice for about 20-30 minutes in a parking lot and you could master it.
      In my opinion, the pull force needed on the clutch I’d say is a 5/10. It’s hard to put into words, but it feels like the exact amount of pull-force you would expect to have to use for the machine. If you have average grip strength or better, you shouldn’t have an issue.
      Hope this answers your questions. 😄 Thanks for watching!

    Hey Omni Man! Dude! You got the front wheel up easily! Unfortunately this model version doesn’t have Traction Control but, there is another version coming that has. What is the price in the states? Excluding taxes because naturally 😉🤔 I do hope your models have the newer ECU’s developed right here in Aus that the factory were going to roll out globally 🤔 There is a fuelling issue that wasn’t refined. So, maybe it has for the US? I have the 650MT & it’s more than enough for my needs. Especially here in Aus where there are more speed cameras than automobiles 🤦‍♂️ except out bush😎 Will you trade your MT for the new NK800 perhaps 😉😎

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  Год назад +2

      Yo Steve! The bike is a little tricky to pull the wheel while on the move, but someone with more skill than myself could probably get it done and do it better. 😬 Price in US is $9,499 for the 800 S model, and $10,499 for the model I rode, the 800 T. The fueling on this bike felt good to me, but I try to not focus too much on fueling and more so on the overall experience of each bike. The 650 is a fun little powerplant with plenty of capability, and if it makes you happy, that's what matters!! 😎 The MT won't be going anywhere - she's too much of a wild card. 😅

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  Год назад +2

      Damn. Tough call really. I like the heated grips and heated seats for the Ibex. The KTM may have better resale value down the road (TBD for CFMOTO) and it does have 100 more cc, so will pack more punch across the rev range. Both fill the role well, but the KTM will ultimately be the more capable machine between the two. Ride both if you can and make your decision afterwards.

    I test rode the IBEX at Daytona last March during BikeWeek.. $10,499 seems very tempting .. BUT when you add in freight, shipping, set up, dealer FU Fees, very limited dealer support/locations and the fact the bikes are not in dealer stock, ect ect.. the IBEX is nearly $15k.. and THAT'S KTM territory..not such a great value..

    Great review! I considered this bike and it has almost everything I'd like. The only thing is that it's Chinese made and a newer brand here in Canada... I tried the 650 Adventura last year but found it still lacked a bit of refinement (fan was kicking on all the time and gearbox was a bit vague and hard to get to neutral)... I'm hoping this one is better but I was concerned with the resale value so I made a different choice. Maybe a bit later when it'll be a bit more established. SPRINGTIME REVZILLA GIFTCARD GIVEAWAY. I feel like most brand new bikes, (under break-in period) get hot very often requiring the fan to come on. That's because there's still a lot of friction in the cylinder causing a lot of heat. Once they break in, the fan doesnt come on as often.

    • @winstonwolff
      @winstonwolff Год назад +1

      Check the bottom of your glass it's probably also made in China, the iPhone or Android you're watching this video on that's also made in China. The bike is partially assembled in China. And yes it's a Chinese company but the design and the parts are KTM ,BMW, bosch etc. Engine brakes Wheels etc. Come from the same manufacturers that Supply KTM. This switchgear is the exact same as on a BMW. The only reason I have yet to buy this bike, is that the American version does not yet have radar, adjustable traction control, the larger 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth etc. That just debuted overseas. Once they add those she will be mine. We need to get over this made in China crap. Even the parts inside TVs assembled in Japan are made in China these days. Yes they do a very good job of copying other foreign companies
