    Is the wiring on the handlebar long enough to add a couple of risers? I have long legs and that sets me too far back on the seat to reach the handlebar comfortably without bending over the tank. I feel this problem especially on long rides

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 3 часа назад

      That's a good question that I have somewhat of an answer for. If you use Indian Motorcycle's online configurator for the Scout and you switch out the risers for the 10" the website doesn't prompt you with any need to upgrade the cables. That said, there are extended cables available on the configurator underneath the 10" handlebar riser selection, and I would be surprised if when you talk to an Indian Motorcycle parts specialist they wouldn't recommend those extended cables. In short, I can't answer you with 100% confidence. I would put a call into your local Indian Motorcycle dealership to see if they can provide a more concrete answer. Thanks for watching. Ride safe. 😎

      It is pretty much the cheat code for being able to ride a motorcycle confidently at slow speed, which is ironically where a lot of people struggle. Trying to explain how it affects the suspension and handling of the bike to a new rider is nearly impossible to verbalize though. It's a great feeling seeing someone finally get it and have it click in there head for the first time. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎

    "So if you can't afford it, simply do not buy it." Lmao, love these sage-like words of wisdom. This, unfortunately, is why I'm looking into a used Shadow for my first bike. Would love ride an Indian at some point though.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 3 часа назад

      Hahaha, 10,000 IQ plays only with the wisdom flowing out of this melon 🧠 The Shadow has plenty to offer for an enjoyable experience. If you want to ride an Indian, you should find an Indian dealership near you and ask them to notify you when the next demo-days are so you can try one out for free. It might be a bit of a mental tease after you ride it, but you can at least cross it off your list and solidify in your mind that it's in your future. Until then, a used Shadow will be very cost-effective and you'll enjoy it for what it is. Don't forget to check the review on my channel with that machine! 😄 Thank you for watching and ride safe!

      Glad to hear you enjoyed your first time visiting the channel! I have a review of the Ninja 400 in my Kawasaki motorcycle reviews playlist if you'd like to explore that further and how it compares to its successor. If you can find a used Ninja 400 in good condition for under $5K I'd say it would be worth the price. If you can find a dealership who will you sell you a base Ninja 500 for under $6K (before taxes) though, the 1-year factory warranty, updated styling, and more powerful engine make it worth it as well. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and ride safe! 😎

    im 16. I own a r3. I couldn't have been more happy. yes, I want to upgrade to a 600 like rn, but I can guarntee you if you've never ridden a motorcycle previously, you need this bike. It's perfectly forgiving. lightweight, etc. It's saved me from being too cocky. Yes, the r3 sounds like shit even with other slip ons on, thats cuz of the huge cat. however, the breaks are kind of bellow par. I've ridden a r7 before and it was way more bitey. Even with the ninja 400 the breaks on the r3 didn't bite at all. The clutch also bites in kind of aggresslively which i found interesting. The r7 didn't bite as hard or the ninja 400. But I would 100% get this bike if you've never ridden a motorcycle before. If you have some experience. go with the r7. Lastly, I love the afermarket support. I have a modified front face which looks so clean, and everything else too

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 4 часа назад

      Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience. The R3 is a super rewarding motorcycle if you plan to use it as a tool for becoming a better rider. It has a lot to offer even if it may not be the most powerful. The lightweight and maneuverable nature make it very confidence inspiring with a price tag that is affordable for many common folk. Very easy to find them under $5K in the used market as well. Thank you for watching and ride safe. 😎

    I have to say, RevZilla (and OmniMoto), that is really one of the best reviews of this motorcycle I have watched and I have watched a bunch trying to decide between z900RS and this beauty. Really seems to be a complete package that gives weekend warriors like myself everything I can want. Also thank you for mentioning the function of the rearview mirrors. On many bikes, i have problems seeing cars around me and that can be really deadly, so thanks for the callout. Once upon a time, I had a gs550e, and it was amazing for its day, but this bike seems totally great successor to that great machine! This video makes a compelling case for it. z900rs really is all about looks and nostalgia for me. Will GSX8R win out over the z900RS? not sure yet. 2 more days to go before riding that 900!

  • @agameimvu2926

    Which one would you recommend? Ninja 500 SE or 650 2024 ?

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 4 часа назад

      The best answer is "it depends". Are you coming off of another bike while having a lot of time in the saddle? Do you understand low-speed maneuvers and clutch control? Do you have throttle discipline? Is the extra power and capability worth spending more $$$ in the area you ride most often? There are a lot of questions you should ask yourself prior to making the decision. My personal opinion is the Ninja 500 is the better bang for the buck, BUT the Ninja 650 does provide decent incentive with 25% more HP and ~35% more torque. I'm not sure if this helped or made the decision tougher for you. 😅 Thanks for watching and ride safe.

      Waaazzzaaaaaappp Steve. 😎 USA does get the ZX-4R with the I-4 engine. Unfortunately for emissions regulations Kawasaki sends a choked-up version to us that caps at around 50HP around 11,000RPM and then flatlines whilst screaming up to 16,000RPM 😂 An ECU flash grants a 25HP increase at 16,000RPM though, so we can remedy it and get all of the bike we pay for. I have a review planned for my MT-10 before the end of riding season here in the states. Prior to that, I've got one in the editing studio now of my first track day with the big-pig MT-10 that I'll be trying to finish and post before the end of this week. Just some commentary and story telling to get in before it's ready to post. Thanks for watching as always Steve. See you in the next ones. 😎

    Upgraded to this from a z400 about 6-8 months ago and I can say I absolutely love this bike. At times I do find myself wanting more torque and hp but I would feel the exact same way if I was on a 600cc. I’m always chasing the thrill and I think this bike was a safe middle ground for me. I can easily hit 130 which is fast enough for me, the fairings one this bike look amazing, nothing beats the seating position, and it’s a freaking Honda! Could be my forever bike- it is very restricted as the air flow into the snorkels is about 70% blocked off so I plan to completely open that up and flash the bike and I’m assuming after that I’ll probably never want to sell this bike.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 4 часа назад

      It's hard to say this motorcycle isn't enough. If anything it is more than enough, but as you stated there is always a desire for more. It's not for any particular reason aside from "Why not?" This is one of the more unique motorcycles in the marketplace being a commuter inline-4 cylinder. Though this video is old, I still remember this machine fondly as being one of the more exciting bikes to ride even though it's purpose isn't to be the apex of performance. It's more fun to ride than it is adrenaline-pumping to ride but it can still deliver fun with the right type of rider (and mods 😉) Thanks for watching. Ride safe. 😎

    Improvements/observations (only because you asked): 1) Better resolution footage perhaps 2) Retain the verbiage (specs, definitions etc.) on the screen a few seconds longer (3 secs instead of 0.5 apparently - very frustrating) 3) Those are not wheelies at all :) So no the bike, you, or both can't do a wheelie. (sorry) 4) That Insta360 beam mounted upfront is ruining the look of the motorcycle. Looks like a construction site. Move it behind you. 5) Instead, use a simple additional/cheaper GoPro 8/9 or something mounted right in the middle of the windscreen to capture reverse view of yourself riding. 6) CFMoto has yet to demonstrate Kawasaki reliability. Those other two Aprilia and KTM are just not for beginner low-budget/ ownership. Work well for those with money who want the Aprilia brand for example - this is worth it. And proves that you don't have to outgrow a smaller bike, you can appreciate it after 30 years of riding. 7) The Ninja 500 isn't a track bike at all, good advice on the real small displacement track option - the ZX-4RR. 8) The SE options are worth it unless you're on a budget - $1200 bucks can't buy sliders, TFT, Keyless, Radiator guard, rear cowl, LEDs, 9) You're a good looking guy - don't lose the helmet :) 10) Nice summary at the end. Overall a thorough and very enjoyable presentation!

    This is on the short list for my upgrade bike next season. Quick question. How vibey was the motor? I had a 310gs I hated because it felt like I was holding a Hitachi "massager" in each hand once it hit the upper rev range (among other reasons, traded it after 315 miles)

    • @Omni_Moto

      The motor does not have a ton of vibration, but it is present. I actually touched on the subject in the Ninja 500 review I just posted if you want to hear my take on it. The only reason I mentioned it at all was because someone had asked a similar question in another video so I wanted to address it - looks like I had good reason to mention since you're asking as well 😉. ruclips.net/video/uUlcCrDvXSk/видео.htmlsi=SZXqp-sqKb-_7bJk Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎

    its sad to say, but my 2006 Ninja 500R is still better than this. it has the same hp, a center stand. a whole gallon larger gas tank. plus it has the retro look with banana seat. it also topped out at 125mph flat ground with one tooth change in the sprocket.

      The old generation Ninja 500 holds up well, but the new Ninja 500 has a 60 pound weight advantage with the same HP output. I'm sure the new Ninja 500 could obtain similar top speed with the right gearing and would achieve it faster being more lightweight. They both do the 2-wheel thing and are fun to ride which is all that truly matters at the end of the day. Thanks for sharing! Ride safe.

    What’s your take on this between the 450SS and Ninja 500? If you’re starting out new, which are you buying and why?

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 7 дней назад

      Long Answer: If was starting out as a new rider and my choices were the Ninja 500 SE or the CFMOTO 450SS I would take the 450SS. 2-year warranty, higher spec brakes, inverted suspension for a sportier look, and much of the same standard equipment. I'd even spend the extra $400 and go for the 450SS over the base Ninja 500. Short Answer: 450SS > Ninja 500 (personal opinion) Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎

    The Ninja 500 is a band-aid that Kawasaki rolled out to compete against the CFMOTO 450SS. Ninja 500 is simply a revised bike. Bland styling, Still a BIG UGLY stock exhaust. They only called it the "500" to fake people out and make them think it's a much bigger bike than the 450SS. As you said, it's NOT a real 500, but a 451. So basically that means that Kawasaki thinks their customers are stupid... maybe they are? Now that CFMOTO announced the 2025 675SS, I would assume that Kawasaki will change the 650 name to 700 for 2026. But these band-aids that Kawasaki rolls out, rather than being more honest, will only harm them in the future as CFMOTO takes the lead.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto 7 дней назад

      Manufacturers typically plan motorcycles about 5-years out. So the bikes we are seeing unveiled this year (if they are new) were likely brought to the board back in 2019 for approvals. There is likely some variability in that 5-year window though, so this bike very well could be a band-aid like you say. I wouldn't say Kawasaki thinks their customers are stupid, but they are banking on them seeing the "500" tag and associating that with a better performing engine - but we can't give them to much flack because it is a _very_ common practice by OEMs. It's just some marketing magic. It can go the other way too where new riders see "500" and determine that's too much and will go with a "450" because it sounds smaller and more friendly. CFMOTO is shaking up the industry in a completely new way that has never been done before. I have been an advocate for them since day one of getting hands on their products. They don't always hit a homerun, but these last few machines they have launched did incredibly well with US buyers and I can only foresee them having continued success. I had a chance to speak with a Kawasaki representative a little bit about the Ninja 650 as well. All I got was "Don't expect anything anytime soon" in regard to that bike. I'd like to see it succeed and do better, but it hasn't seen a large enough decline in market share to warrant upgrades - and Japanese OEMs don't want everything to be too similar in terms of displacement and engine configs, so Kawasaki will probably keep it the same until R7, GSX-8R, and 675SS start taking enough sales away to trigger a reaction from Kawasaki. Great talking points though. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎

      @@walt4400 5'7" isn't very tall 🤨 I just answered a question. Height isn't even the most important variable - it's the inseam. If you are expecting a low seat height, you are looking at the wrong bike. Someone's ability to ride a motorcycle shouldn't be based on someone's opinion either - It should be based on their willingness and desire to ride the bike of their choice.
