Glad you're having a good time - Stay tuned! There will be one more review video before riding season comes to an end. I'll switch to commentary videos in the cold months, and fire up the reviews again in the Spring. ☀ Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
I have the '22 Scout Rogue, which is basically the same model as the Sport Scout. I really like the 2 into 1 exhaust on the new model and it's a little bit louder which I wish my bike was. I love this bike. It's super powerful and easy to ride.
I should also mention the side mirrors. Seems they are putting these up these days. Mine came in the down position. They look way cooler down. At first, I hated them down, but I left them that way and got used to them. Once adjusted properly, they are actually quite functional. At worst, maybe a slight elbow lift will give a better view.
You're absolutely right! The 101 fixes the mid-grade suspension issue and provides some more performance componentry around the rest of the Scout. It is truly the performance oriented Scout for those who desire the most. Thanks for watching and ride safe!
Indian reclaims the best lightweight cruiser on the market with this one, but those new Road Glide and Street Glide models sure are sharp. They are not without their problems, but then again, what machine isn't? Thanks for watching amigo! Ride safe. 😎
I'm so happy I accidentally came across your amazing videos when I clicked on one of your videos that showed up in my feed. Great work! I own a rare in the US, and my first motorcycle after over 30 years of dirtbike & and off-road enduro bike experience... -2008 Suzuki GSX650F that I absolutely love! Anyway, I'll subscribe after this comment. -Chris
Hey there! I'm stoked to hear you had a happy accident and found my channel. Always enjoy hearing what my viewers are riding as well - That GSX650F is certainly a rare machine, so much so that I'm not sure I've ever seen one in person. Since you're now subscribed, I'll hopefully be seeing you around more in the comment sections. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
@Omni_Moto I certainly will... I'm also going to try to make more shorts & long videos with my GSX650F. I just need to buy some better equipment and something to help block most of the wind noise, that doesn't block the engine noise from the POV videos I want to make. I'll definitely be in touch. Safe travels
Is the wiring on the handlebar long enough to add a couple of risers? I have long legs and that sets me too far back on the seat to reach the handlebar comfortably without bending over the tank. I feel this problem especially on long rides
That's a good question that I have somewhat of an answer for. If you use Indian Motorcycle's online configurator for the Scout and you switch out the risers for the 10" the website doesn't prompt you with any need to upgrade the cables. That said, there are extended cables available on the configurator underneath the 10" handlebar riser selection, and I would be surprised if when you talk to an Indian Motorcycle parts specialist they wouldn't recommend those extended cables. In short, I can't answer you with 100% confidence. I would put a call into your local Indian Motorcycle dealership to see if they can provide a more concrete answer. Thanks for watching. Ride safe. 😎
Honda Rebel 500 is a more beginner friendly motorcycle. The Scout can be a beginner bike, but you should already have experience on 2-wheels in some capacity before you dive in with a bike that powerful. Rebel 500 will build a very strong foundation for you to expand off of and move into something different/larger. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
"So if you can't afford it, simply do not buy it." Lmao, love these sage-like words of wisdom. This, unfortunately, is why I'm looking into a used Shadow for my first bike. Would love ride an Indian at some point though.
Hahaha, 10,000 IQ plays only with the wisdom flowing out of this melon 🧠 The Shadow has plenty to offer for an enjoyable experience. If you want to ride an Indian, you should find an Indian dealership near you and ask them to notify you when the next demo-days are so you can try one out for free. It might be a bit of a mental tease after you ride it, but you can at least cross it off your list and solidify in your mind that it's in your future. Until then, a used Shadow will be very cost-effective and you'll enjoy it for what it is. Don't forget to check the review on my channel with that machine! 😄 Thank you for watching and ride safe!
No bother at all my friend. This helmet has excellent peripheral visibility with a 215 degree field of view. I have yet to have a scenario where I felt the sides of the helmet impeded my vision whatsoever. 😎
Something I don’t like about the new design is the gas cap 😮💨🤕I know sounds dumb and stuff but I feel like it’s starting to look more like a dyna from HD.
Gas caps are luckily a simple element to motorcycles. This little room for them to be unique so it is no surprise to see some designs carry over from OEMs. Just like the wheel, we don't need to reinvent it. Just my $0.02. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.
Bought a 2022 Scout Rogue brand new.... I absolutely love the bike, but I have been eying the 101 in white... I still haven't decided if it's worth trading in my Rogue. I did add a 2024 Street triple RS to the garage earlier this year.
The Scout 101 would be warranted to upgrade from your Rogue. Suspension, braking, and performance upgrades across the board compared to your Rogue. I'd say check trade in value with your local dealership and see if the numbers are enticing enough for you to pull the trigger. If not, no worries, you've still got 2 sweet machines in the stable. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
Thank you, I am glad to hear you are enjoying the content. Unfortunately, Big St Charles Motorsports is not a Triumph dealer so unless a Speed 400 comes in on trade, I likely won't be able to test ride one. If the opportunity presents itself outside of that realm though, I'll do what I can to swing a leg over one and create some content. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
@@Omni_Moto Thanks for replying, I appreciate that! 🙏🏻 I’m just getting started with the motorcycle world, I haven’t even taken the MSF course yet. Could I ask you want to think are some good beginner bikes?
@@sirdudenstein6967 We were all new to this at one point. 😁 To shamelessly plug my own channel, check out some of my other content! I have a fairly large catalog with 50+ motorcycles from beginner level to the upper echelon machines with 120+ horsepower. If you get tired of watching me, do some searching on the following models. Yamaha: R3, MT-03, V-Star 250, XT250 Honda: CBR-300R, CB-300R, CBR-500R, and CB 500R, CRF300L Suzuki: DRZ400 Kawasaki: Z400, Ninja 400, Z500, Ninja 500, Eliminator There are more from other manufacturers, but I find the Japanese brands provide the most accessibility in regard to price.
It does better than the standard Scout or the Scout bobber with no windscreen. It is just a front cowl, but it blocks a noticeable amount of wind. If you're looking for just a little relief for the area around your head, it's fine. If you're looking for something that blocks more wind around the body though, you should consider looking at a bat-wing style fairing with a broader face. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
I usually review 1 bike from the lineup, so I won't be doing the 101. The 101 does have vastly improved suspension, brakes, and a bump in horsepower though, so if you can imagine the Sport Scout turned up a few more notches, that's what you can expect out of the 101. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
You are correct. For some reason Indian hides that in the website and doesn't mention it on the spec sheet. I've edited my video and taken the segment out where I misspoke. Thank you for that. Ride safe!
I'll credit you that it is a new frame and "revisions" may have been a poor choice of words, but it is foundationally a revision off of the old design and up close there are a lot of areas on the new frame that are nearly identical to the old frame. No, it is not the exact same as the Rogue, but it does have the same shroud, gunfighter style syndicate seat, raised handlebars, 19" front wheel, and blacked out styling. The fact there is no longer a "Rogue" model available and this is the next closest thing makes it nearly the same as the Rogue. So we can agree to disagree on that. Thanks for watching. Ride safe.
Thank you for mentioning this - I just tried it and was brought to Ruroc's home page for the motorcycle helmets. I'm not sure if you're in a different country and that's why it isn't working, but from what I can tell it's functioning as it should.
Bought this one as an absolute beginner rider. Couldn't be happier with this motorcycle 🎉
Super stoked to hear it's working out for you! Congrats on your super sweet Scout. Ride safe. 😎
you legend! i took it easy on my first bike.
I love how they've hidden the radiator. Improves the look soooooo muchhh!!
Indian has done that since the first generation - really helps keep the body lines looking sleek. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
@@Omni_Moto The radiator plastic was very apparent in the previous version... the new version looks a lot better

Does the fairing work good
It works better than having nothing at all. At the end of the day it is just a small shroud, but it does help with some wind.
