Kobe Bryant NEVER forgot Allen Iverson after this game *AI 41pts (1999)

  • AI scored 41 points on Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal the Lakers and that's a wakeup call for Kobe
    NBA
And AI as a competitor, he drove me to be as obsessive, more obsessive about the game, because I had to figure out how to solve that problem, you know? And I told him -- I saw him here this weekend. I said you don't realize how much you pushed me. And I don't think people nowadays realize how great you were as a player and how big of a problem you were for defenses. Happy for them both.

if iverson put in the work like mj, kobe, lebron in PRACTICE, the weight room and nutrition (if he put on 20lbs of muscle), he would have been much better than he was but he was too into the "thug life" and wanting to look like a gangsta to all the wannabe gangstas out there, which he did.
he was still an all time great but what he could've been with the discipline a true professional has... we'll never know.

John Smith he never learned to play team ball. He ran jerry Stackhouse outta town. Who before iverson was the leading scorer on the sixers. Iverson wanted all that shine and didn’t want to share it. Trynna Street ball his way though the nba. I’m glad Larry Brown won with a team that bought into his style and iverson ended up being an underachiever. Shit iverson couldn’t get out of the first round with Carmelo and billuos took his place and they ended in the wcf. I rather take leadership and basketball IQ, than talent and flash

See how FREELY and EASILY they were getting to rim with Shaq sitting down? Notice how it was faster paced with Shaq sitting down? Well, kiddie fans, that is a small example of why today's games seem faster paced? No menacing big men anymore and the rule changes which allow a faster paced NBA. It's NOT because the athletes are better. If that was case we should be seeing a league full of Michael Jordan's by now.
