Brad Steven actually pioneered the analytics revolution. He was hired by the Celtics to compete with LeBron in the East, but it's the Warriors who realized the full potential of analytics. Now the analytics nerds run the NBA. Lebron is a victim of the new NBA. He would have had 10 rings by now. You just wanted a reason to hate on him.

      Kobe is about 10th best all time. LeBron is a close second to Jordan. No one puts Kobe as a goat now, really. He intimated MJ. Kobe could never do what LeBron was doing, and he did this with fewer field goals and still put up 26 points a game on 53% from the field and 37-39% from 3, and he did this at age 39. Kobe retired at 36 and put up 16 a game on only 35-36% shooting. He also had the most missed shots in NBA history for awhile, and LeBron is up like 6-8k points and has like 11,185 rebounds in his career and just notched 11,009 assists, which is unheard of for a SF. He was the best player on every team he played on and beat a team down 1-3 against a 73-9 team and averaged over 30 a game, putting up like 40 to 40+ in two games. He beat the best team ever, giving the Cavaliers their first title. Kobe doesn’t come close to LeBron level, and Kobe shot 9-26 this game. At the end, people act like he shot great; he had tons of bad games in the playoffs or finals. He shot 6 from 24 against the Celtics in game seven when he won his last title, but his teammates and the refs bailed him out against the Celtics. I mean, when you have Joey Crawford that understanding, he had a prime Shaq who just dominated everyone; he won every final MVP too, while Kobe didn’t win one with him. He did later, but Pau was an underrated star/superstar, and he had Bynum and Odom as six men, and Fisher made big shots, as did Ron Artest, aka Metta Worldpeace. Like I said, "Kobe only has one MVP in his career, while LeBron has 4 MVPs and three gold medals." He only has one more NBA title, but that's it. It takes a team game, and LeNron has way harder challenges than Kobe to win the title playing the elite Warriors team with injuries or playing the Spurs in 2007 with G League players. LeBron had no one early in his career while Kobe got gifted Shaq. LeBrom even made Mo Williams better, and he did nothing after that; he was an all-star; he was underrated, though, and a late pick and big Z were good, but no Shaq. If he got Amarè, they would have won at least one or two, but they got him no help. It was hard not to go to the Cavaliers with prime Irving, and that draft Embiid should have been number one, but hey, Wiggins had hype. LeBron, Embiid, and Irving would of been nice, though.

This was a relatively high scoring game but it is Game 1 with the two best Western Conference teams. So, it makes sense but now with the lack of defense and rule changes this score can happen every night.

      @footballfanaticusaf7791 I have a theory about that... even though kobe did something incredible, going to 3 straight finals with an average crew, it didn't feel dominant. When Jordan won 6 rings? Dominance. It was the bulls then everyone else. When Bron was walking through the weak east? He seemed dominant. Kobe beat all these amazing teams but it didn't feel dominant ... because those teams were freakin good!
      And it's hard for people to remember how good those teams were... cause they didn't win titles. Kobe or Duncan beat them.

      @cloudunderweather9554 Год назад

      @footballfanaticusaf7791 of course. There's 2 reasons why. 1, kobe would have seemed like a demon to have kept the big 3 Celtics from EVER winning a ring. And 2, he would have a career so similar to Jordan people wouldn't be able to ignore it. 6 championships, 2 3-peats, making him the laker that brought the most chips to their franchise? It changes a lot of narratives.
      He would be 6 for 7 in the finals. That's big.
