- The reverse hip throw, also known as "Ura Goshi" in Judo, is a powerful and dynamic technique used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Judo. This technique involves using your hips to leverage your opponent's momentum and execute a throw from an unexpected angle.
The reverse hip throw is an effective counter-move, allowing you to take advantage of your opponent's movements and turn the tide in your favor. Mastery of this technique requires precise timing, balance, and practice.

This is an interesting take on a counter throw, and I'll definitely try it out in practice. Although in a judo competitive setting the opponent is often very quick, so the counter has to happen almost immediately as he's trying to throw. tani-o-toshi, ura nage, te guruma (if leg grapping is allowed) or a ko uchi gake counter (if you step over the throw, and is at a perpendicular angle)
True 😊
What about back take
Sure, go to the ground as you see fit
