Awesome techniques! They work very well
Thank you brother
Very cool
thank you brother
Interesting foot work!
Thank you so much. I credit Taichi Hayashi for most of the Judo style footwork when I make throws.
Ha ha! Love that sneaky forward sweep.
Sweet
Thanks!
That's pretty stinkin' cool!
Glad you liked it!
👍🤙
thats how i learned 😂😂💯💪🏽🥊
lol.. good class
👀 hahahahahhaha... 😊
Works well!
what are you guys doing. why the shoes. why the green and yellow belts. why are the belts so long. that rolling toe hold looks pretty cool though honestly. The ouchi gari (is it ouchi or kouchi?) to dog bar is pretty terrifying. okay well take care
Great comment about the rolling toe hold. Glad you liked it.
LMFAO, up next Chi Energy Toe Hold.
I've never seen it from that set up before! I generally go for it while passing guard. Makes me feel like one of the old school UWF catch wrestlers. lol Good stuff as always!
This gentleman looks like a pleasure to train under. Bravo.
Thank you 😊
Great class!
👍👍👍
Good drill. Nice work, everyone.😁
Appreciate you watching!
Hey, that was pretty cool!
Thanks!
❤
I'll admit; I SUCK AT SHOOTING! But I try :-)
All you can do is your best! I think you did great by the way.
This is awesome. I love looking for ways to bring old school jujitsu/judo techniques into bjj, and the coaching here is top-notch.
bro.. are you making your students say sir like that at 4:43? please tell me you're not..
Bro….he doesn’t make anyone say anything. It’s just respect. We respect him & the dojo. Some people might even call it manners meaning our parents & loved ones raised respectful humans. Might want to try it. It will get you far in life.
I run a very modern organization. The kids are used to saying sir because we live in the south. It has nothing to do with what I require them to say. By the way anyone that says sir or ma'am is showing a huge amount of respect which I believe is extremely important in society as a whole. At age 54 I still say sir for ma'am to anyone holding the door for me or doing something which I feel deserves thanks. Thank you sir. Thank you ma'am. It is a wonderful thing. Let me reiterate, I do not require anyone to say sir in my program.
Muir lock? Lol. Frank Mir. Not Muir.
Thanks...maybe you noticed the spelling on the screen and the correction later in the full video.
🍈 💥
Excellent instruction. It's a joy to watch.
Thank you 😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ooo, good demo on dropping down to get the elbow lock on a taller person.
Thanks!
What in the micdojo
Just👌🏻
The "O Goshi" is very nicely demonstrated. Great instruction on the hip throw with and without the use of the gi belt. Good hustle, Caleb!
Appreciate it! Glad you liked the lesson!
Very cool.👍
Glad you liked it.
Great demo
Thanks, glad you liked it!
👍
She's cute
Don't be a creep.
WTF get these kids out of this class
So you never saw kids learning how to roll (tumbling class?)
Definitely a legit self-defense option. Not sure if it’s legal is some sports. Seems like it would be pretty risky for back injuries or cervical/head injuries if uke doesn’t make a full flip.
I assume wrestling and Judo might still use these throws. BJJ might not.
Why the wrestling shoes? I like it but I'm curious, haven't seen it in Australia before
@@Ullish1989 I wear wrestling shoes quite often with gi and no gi. Super traditional places won’t let you. I myself prefer them. It stops toe dislocations which happens a lot to me. And protects your nails from getting ripped in scrambles and such. I am not a part of these guys so he would have answer for his club.
Why is a fair question. Shoes protect the feet...always have. Shoes prevent the spread of fungus like athletes foot and ringworm. Maybe the other question is why bare feet? The answer is simply that Asian Culture has many traditional schools thinking there is only one way to train and that is with bare feet. Ironically, we don't take off shoes in a fight. We would be better off wearing shoes in a street fight for obvious reasons.
@@conwaytoe2toejiu-jitsu not just for Asian culture. Barefoot training helps you condition your feet. Also barefoot is much healthy in general. Also you have to compete barefoot anyway so might as well get used to it.
@@conwaytoe2toejiu-jitsu Fair answer... was wondering the same thing.
You should have someone actually try to hip throw you and prove it's effective without them letting you reverse them
I have been teaching for a long time. I have been training even longer. This is an informational channel that has over 600 videos. I KNOW exactly what I am doing. Here is an idea for you. Rather than being a troll, why not build your own RUclips channel and demonstrate this throw yourself. In fact, you can come here and I will personally throw you and you can see first hand. By the way, why not give a little background on yourself while we are at it. How many martial arts videos are you producing? What is your background?
The wonderful world of the internet. Always with its experts. That troll is probably an mma expert too. They seem to go hand in hand, internet expert in martial arts and expert in mma 😂. Very cool video. It’s like an osoto gari, the counter for osoto is osoto, your counter to hip throw is hip throw! What made it even cooler was that Def Leppard was playing in the background! 😂
Have you ever been to a Judo class??? Do you think it's just sparring non stop?? The throw works, whether or not you're going to pull it off in competition is up to so many different factors
@rns7426 yes and Def Leppard is awesome.
Good luck stopping an ogoshi with one hand. This will never work in a million year against anybody who is not his student.
What a great instructor. He is interactive with his students and gives them true training applying the techniques.
*hat tip* Thank you for the kind words
The mcdojoing continues
You misspelled trolling Thanks for pushing the algorithm anyways. Come here and try us out. Seriously. How would you know if you don't fight and see first hand. Maybe you are afraid...maybe you're just lonely. You seem to be on RUclips a lot of a guy with a woman.
What about back take
Sure, go to the ground as you see fit
Another hilarious video. Thank you Conway.
Glad you enjoyed it. Remember to come visit in person to see first hand. So many trolls have stupid things to say but never have the courage to come see. On the bright side, trolls still push the algorithm 😂.
That was pretty cool. The ol' foot-on-butt escape. 😁
Pretty cool move.👍👍
Thanks!
That's not a loop choke. It's basically a cross collar, albeit with a little unorthodox setup.
I beg to differ. This is the classic loop choke... But whatever you want to call it is fine. If you don't even have a name for it my guess is you've never seen it before. I hope it's helpful regardless of what the naming convention is.
Nice way to show how to throw someone heavier than you. Cool!👍
Definitely using this in class now thanks for the tips 🤝🙏👍
Fantastic!
