Jon both trumpets sounding excellent and to my untrained ear very similar. Really couldn’t go wrong with either.

I liked the Reeves 41C mouthpiece. My goal is to find a cornet mouthpiece that will give me more of a bright trumpet sound. And generally, I like small shallow mouthpieces for trumpet and probably cornet. Thanks!

I bought a 41C and a 41M for cornet off Trumpetherald.com recently (I really like the Marketplace there!). I usually like a deeper cup for cornets - but now I'm ready for anything. :) Thanks for commenting, Robert. :)

The book says to go wider and deeper. But I do just the opposite! My current trumpet mouthpiece is an English made Besson 6A. I love it, but I can't find any information about it.
I find TH a little difficult to search, but it provides the best reviews on the net.

@@robertg7538 The search engine at TH is NOT the best. We're better off using google or another search engine, like this " Trumpetherald best shallow cornet mouthpieces " . That'll get much better results than the TH search engine. Here's an interesting cornet thread revived last week and getting some input... www.trumpetherald.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135611

@@JonathanMilam1 Thanks for the tip, Jonathan, I will try that exact method. A lot of TH conversation goes way over my head but I stilllearn a lot. My favorite sounding cornet is an '80s student size Bundy. I need to give the Selmer Paris a good wash. And, I remember that you want pictures. I just ordered a 5000L-YST CarolBrass lacquer trumpet (!) rather than the 7770. It should be more flexible for me. Happy Easter!

How much are you asking for the Yamaha

Jordon, I've been asking $1445 + $45 shipping within the ConUS, but I've got some wiggle room to negotiate. Excellent playing horn, I have to say. www.trumpetherald.com/marketplace.php?task=detail&id=146630
