Awesome Svorty, that's what I like to hear. I also did not like Sorcerer, it was a chore to rank it for the augments. But it does have it's fun and enjoyment.
I got to tell ya Nihil, I love your videos. They are always informative and even if I don't care for the subject matter...cough cough Sorcerer cough. I always look forward to hearing what music you have chosen for the video. Well done. :)
Thank you Xizoo. I'm always happy to see your support. Yeah, it's Sorcerer, but Sorcerer is pretty damn fun with Spellsync. Assassin is next, and the music is pretty nice, I think you will like it as well.
17:31, so this is one of the reasons I sometimes say that Gicel sucks. Because it comes out from the front, it has an incredibly high chance of hitting the horn of a dragon. When this happens, they are much more likely to dragon roar. Its still good but only when you're able to spell sync, because spell syncing allows you to reach a high enough cumulative damage that it doesn't exactly matter anymore if you knock of the horns of the dragon or not, if it's a fire drake it'll either be knocked down, or just outright killed. But if there isn't spell syncing, say you have a sorcerer pawn and a mage pawn on your team instead of two sorcerers, I would forego gicel altogether. I actually highly prefer fulmination when dealing with fire drakes as it doesn't usually damage the horns, and allows pretty much the same overall damage output. Fire drakes in particular are more vulnerable to magic as it goes so fulmination tends to melt them pretty good. I don't think there's anything wrong with the way you use it here. High Gicel is best when you have four sourcerers on a team. It does kind of demonstrate a sneaky drawback to the spell, that probably doesn't immediately strike one's intuition. You'd think fire drakes are weaker to ice, after all.
I love playing as a sorcerer in this game, but we should have a spell that would create a barrier to protect the players while casting a second spell. I simple hate when i'm bout to cast a spell and a big foe keep knocking me down.
Late to this by two years and some change, but Bolide isn't entirely random. If memory serves, each Bolide will target an enemy up to two times, or three for grand Bolide, up to the number of meteors summoned. The rest, if any are left, are scattered about randomly. The targeted enemies aren't guaranteed to be hit of course, what with the decent travel time and all, but it's definitely not random. Entirely. Only like 90% random.
And another curious thing is that the Bolide/High Bolide and Grand Bolide are the only spells that do PHYSICAL damage, like the triangle attack (PS3, PS4) with the hand. It's great to destroy golems and metal golems XD Also it ignores places like caves or roofed ones. They always come. Bolide from enemies such Deimon awakened can also be parried with Assassin's Masterful Kill just because it's physical (except for Death's Scythe), and that might be hillarious to see! Haha
If only casters didn't have such long casting times i would totally love magic in this game. there should be a mod that makes magic quicker and less powerful to compensate.
Yeah long cast times is a different playstyle, that I do not like either. Although the spellsync kind of cures that. You can cast much quicker when other pawns have already charged the spell for you. I also don't the animations that they have after the spell is charged. Like Maelstrom especially.
In the time it takes you to cast a spell the amount of damage it does is comparable to that of a quicker melee class after several attacks. Its well balanced tbh.
I did have a grand bolide land all meteors on the same chimera. Sat there stunned until the spell stopped. Wish it had lazer accuracy when I wanted it.
Use a few spellcasting tools when you don't have time to set-up and this Vocation is brilliant, even if you forgo the Pack-Sorcerer option. Still prefer Mage due to my supportive mindset, but I'll always respect it.
Two best vocations to have a sorc pawn along are warrior and sorc, from own experience. As a warrior you stagger so much stuff your sorc will have it easy casting the big spells. I switched to warrior from Ranger to grind for clout and even with the basic available skills only you do massive damage, sorc pawn (we were only two roaming the area with the two cyclops and balistas) managed to fling meteors while i stun locked everything And sorc obviously for the spell sync and chosing what to put and share on your pawn
Awesome, that's what I like to hear. That is why I make videos, to provide ideas or encourage other players to try something new. Thanks for checkin' it out Steven
Same here, never knew that this was a thing. Then again, I play with a balanced party, a healer (Mage), a tank (Mystic Knight; Me, Warrior, and Fighter), and 2 dps (Ranger, Strider, Sorcerer; Me also) but now that I know about this, I'm gonna make sure that I always have a second Sorcerer whenever I use that class. Badass mechanics that I never knew about. How did u discover this?

Amazing work on the sync explanation, I'm actually considering a either a sorcerer or a magic archer run now! I couldn't find the levelling pattern, anyone has a timestamp?
Sorcerer in his room, "All my training. For what so I can hide behind fighters... sigh.... Sorcerer just seems not to be. Fighters are better... Even magic archers are better... or the assassins too... sigh.... If only there was a way to kill foes instantly. Unfortunately I don't have enough magic power... I would need...." a few days later... And then there was four... but it was only the beginning.... Two hundred fifty years later... a young kid is travelling out in the plains. He comes upon some ruins. "Ooh whats this?" strange sharp metal with a thin handle. even thinner wooden sticks with sharp metal at the top. Many different tattered armour pieces are in this hidden ruin. He takes them back as to see their worth. "Ah yes you see, this was one of those swords they used in the past." "Swords?" the young boy asks. "Yes, rumour has it there were classes such as warriors and archers and this was their equipment. However, they became redundant when mages created a spell combining a dozens and even hundreds of mages into one. Everything was obliterated with a slap." :o
I’m leveling using Nihil’s video suggestion of a Badass; basically 11 levels each vocation from 1-100, and repeat the cycle 101-200. I’m level 49 and grinding Sorcerer. It’s tough. I could destroy chimeras around 15 levels back with my warrior. Now, I don’t know how it even gets done. It does, but it takes 5x as long and tons of curative. I just opened bolide, maelstrom and hopefully will have an easier time of it. Oh, and I’m just using my main pawn. I’m roleplaying Parzival and Art3mis from Ready Player One.
Follow up: Bolide was incredible. My frustration with fighting a chimera was turned to amazement as my pawn and I destroyed the first chimera we saw. What a difference b
Loved the spell system in DD2 but there was a MAJOR issue with targeting making most of the spells useless. Maelstrom is so freaking cool is basically carries the spellcasters on its own. Bolide as you pointed out is a crap-shoot for example. It would be great if the second part of the charge also allowed us to concentrate/widen the AOE/ That would make the spells a lot more useful and versatile and the vocations that use them that much more viable.
Set your PAWN as a SCATHER Fighter , . . . Shield Drum only on shield, . . . And hire mage with anodyne and halidom, and Ranger with tenfold and GG skill, . . . EXEQUY will be a perfect, . . . Two fighters with shield drum, very efficient also, . . . Just dont forget mage with the two supporting skill, . . .and, when the loading of EXEQUY you must also recall pawns cuz if they caught on the area, . . . They will be 1 hit too, even though they didnt had the spellcasting on them, . . .

Yeah, Death is a pain for Sorcerer. Miasma is fair, I have seen Gicel do ok, also just Ingle. Ingle is quick and you can land rounds on him while he does his lantern. But I usually go with Miasma.
@@Nihil0.0 Dang that makes thoses a LOT more useful IMO, Torpor would help a hell of a lot and Miasma makes this nice and fast to apply....Or if you prefer risky plays, Fulmination might also work....
Hah, we're getting closer. Assassin is in the works now, and then Magic Archer likely afterwards. Mostly because I still have some testing and understanding of the Mystic Knight. Thanks Arekei.
Lv. 3 Holy magic weapon enchant is stupidly overpowered as it can stun, heal and take out multiple life bars if you need more power just use demon precepts to boost it.

There will never be a better rpg than this. It’s dragon age with out the bs, as someone that worshipped every dragon age game and views 2 as the best (minus ones story cuz werewolves). I wish dragon dogma 2 would add more vocations. Keep it simple. We don’t even need new dual classes. Add in Lancer with matching jump attacks(so like a full on skull splitter class). Cultist- for necromancy and dark focused aoe’s Cutthroat- pirate and flintlock based character. Could focus on parrying and countering attacks with the flintlock and put heavy focus on item buffs for throwblast and dragon spit. New multi classes could be - Abyss Knight Greatsword and Great axed based tank with aoe provoke and skills that are reminiscent of dark cannon
Also add a dagger focused mage that has a teleport back stab that sends the player forward for a frontal stab into a teleport behind the enemy for a dark blast that causes knockdown New warrior and rogue hybrid could either be lancer as mentioned above or something different.
for those gorecyclops condemned-how did you remove the helmet? I seem to have a hit or miss time with it, and how did you sneak past those elder ogres and stuff? You mention having pawns cast level 1 spells repeatedly while you charge level 2/3, is there a way to "remove" the second tier spell from their list if they've already learned it?
For the helmet, there is the caged face, and then the strap that goes back to a button peen. The location is the strap, but just as the strap starts from the button peen. Also use a low damage weapon. Too strong of a weapon will trigger his combat. In the Rotunda of the dead arena room, there can be the 3 Ogres and 3 Eliminators. One Eliminator and 2 Ogres are actively walking around, while one Ogre and 2 Eliminators are in the back just chillin'. If you engage the first 3 far enough away from the other 3, then they will continue to rest. If you attack one of the resting Eliminators, the other Eliminator will engage with him. The Ogre has a small radius of activation. You can be 5 meters away and she will still be eating. LV2 and Lv3 spells and skills cannot be unlearned. You can find sometimes high level pawns only have a LV1 spell, and you may have wondered why. It requires knowing what your plan is early, during leveling and ranking your pawn. But, you can do the opposite, and you cast only LV1 spells, and feed off of their progress during LV2 or LV3. You can land 2 Bolides, while your pawn is casting 1 High bolide.
Ah ok, I had noticed you had the lantern removed-does that reduce detection range on enemies? And I had noticed a few high level pawns with only level 1 abilities and had wondered about it, so that's why. Interesting
I think the Lantern only affects Death's perception. My lantern in that location was more for showing off the cool effect of the Ancient Armor. But also, I do have a habit of turning off the lantern in that scenario anyways.
I would argue you are underselling the weakness of the Sorcerer. If you are below the defence softcap and your Levin/Ingle/Frigor deal no damage, its frustrating just how long it takes to cast Glicel/Tornado/Bolide just so you can deal a entire bar of damage. I would argue this is exactly why the class has so severe problems with fighting death: You deal no damage unless you bust out the exclusive spells, but the damage simply isn't worth it when you are risking being teleport scytche every single time. I would argue Sorcerers have far more desperate needs of the Bitterblack weapons than the other classes, because the need to get past the defense softcap is immensly greater since only the super long channel time spells have good hit multipliers.
So I've always been into character development. Fallout 4 let you make some synergy builds and I love that. I have a sorc I'm maxing it go magic archer and just started a new one that will be pure sorcerer. I'm using caged fury. Any tips on play style with multiple target's? I'm losing my buff on s reg and the magic is sooo low with out its difficult.

Nihil0.0 ill look for it and drop the link

Love that movie!
The magic is so scary I ran out of my room after casting it I'm scared of my own spells every time that's how awesome these spells are
My favorite spell to cast is uhhhh ... tornado 😄🏆
Immensely helpful, thank you! Currently doing Ranger at lvl 16, gonna switch to Sorcerer for max Magic damage before playing Magick Archer.
Sorcerer is the class i played to boost my magic stat before switching it up to Magick Archer. I had no idea spell syncing was a thing and that you can use it to just rain the nuke spells all over everything
awesome video again, sir - thank you for sharing (I had a poor opinion of sorc class for I was unaware of the whole "spell-sync" thing - I guess I'll have to re-evaluate :D). The music choice for the vid is also great :)
I look forward to it, i'm playing an Assassin right now. BTW- It looks like you have decided to chuck it all in and join Salvation. lol
The Dark syth has promised us great power.
LOL
Love the music!
Every vocation is so coooll idk what to pick first
17:31, so this is one of the reasons I sometimes say that Gicel sucks.
I knew it! I noticed my sorcerer's spells has been moving them about.
I love playing as a sorcerer in this game, but we should have a spell that would create a barrier to protect the players while casting a second spell. I simple hate when i'm bout to cast a spell and a big foe keep knocking me down.
I found that the toxicity skill from the assassin vocation works good with miasma
that's because Miasma is Poison, and Toxicity buffs all poison
Nice Slavic Music !
Wyrm fight:
"The tail is severed!"
YOU CAN CUT THE DRAKE TAILS OFF?!?!?
*dead saurian flops in from off camera*
...oh
Damn looks like I was sleeping on High Miasma that whole time
And another curious thing is that the Bolide/High Bolide and Grand Bolide are the only spells that do PHYSICAL damage, like the triangle attack (PS3, PS4) with the hand. It's great to destroy golems and metal golems XD
Also it ignores places like caves or roofed ones. They always come.
Bolide from enemies such Deimon awakened can also be parried with Assassin's Masterful Kill just because it's physical (except for Death's Scythe), and that might be hillarious to see! Haha
Gicel does physical and is much, much more controllable
If only casters didn't have such long casting times i would totally love magic in this game.
there should be a mod that makes magic quicker and less powerful to compensate.
Yeah long cast times is a different playstyle, that I do not like either. Although the spellsync kind of cures that. You can cast much quicker when other pawns have already charged the spell for you. I also don't the animations that they have after the spell is charged. Like Maelstrom especially.
Short casting times for sorc would just make the class overpowered.
"magic quicker and less powerful to compensate."
I mean, there's the mage.
In the time it takes you to cast a spell the amount of damage it does is comparable to that of a quicker melee class after several attacks. Its well balanced tbh.
Please can someone tell me the name of the music playing the chanting stuff is somthing I wanna download
I did have a grand bolide land all meteors on the same chimera. Sat there stunned until the spell stopped. Wish it had lazer accuracy when I wanted it.
Yep, Chimera has 3 targets, the Goat, the Lion and the Snake, so Chimera gets 6 meteors total
This is a large scale warfare tier class lol
For real though
Use a few spellcasting tools when you don't have time to set-up and this Vocation is brilliant, even if you forgo the Pack-Sorcerer option. Still prefer Mage due to my supportive mindset, but I'll always respect it.
Two best vocations to have a sorc pawn along are warrior and sorc, from own experience. As a warrior you stagger so much stuff your sorc will have it easy casting the big spells. I switched to warrior from Ranger to grind for clout and even with the basic available skills only you do massive damage, sorc pawn (we were only two roaming the area with the two cyclops and balistas) managed to fling meteors while i stun locked everything
And sorc obviously for the spell sync and chosing what to put and share on your pawn
I did not know about spell syncing. Lol
I originally played on ps3 as a warrior and wanted something different.
How did u discover this?
in no other games sorceres make so much fun to play as here!!!!
I've been waiting for this thanks.
The best music
Yep pretty good. Also my Magic Archer schematics has great music.
Wow, a year later and you still respond to subscribers, that's loyalty
@@deix7064 I try to reply to comments. Kinda rude not to. My chanel is Dogma exclusive. I still upload vids of the game, though it has been a couple of months. Holidays keep busy
Awesome channel bro! That intro ...👌
The music...is so wicked...I love it...😶
This was actually pretty helpful. Thanks
Thank you Sandman. I spent alot of time on these vocation vids
nice music, so immersive
Thanks Ali. I thought the music went pretty well with the theme of Sorcerer
yah it fits perfectly.
Thanks for posting this vid i just got the game for switch and this helped.
Nice. Thanks for your words Daniel
Everything was obliterated with a slap."
:o
Love the music and great vid
holy focused bolt is perfectly balanced
Good music and gameplay 4stars
Thanks LadyDeath. I thought the music went quite well
love your thumbnails
Thanks Beats. It's actually pretty easy and quite lazy. I just stole the images from good ol' Google and added the text.
When I was starting playing DDDA, . . . I love sorcerer, . . . When I found out , EXEQUY, . . . I got bored 😂😂😂 OP skill
The most op is high miasma lol i can kill a dragon with that spell :v
Miasma is a great skill. Aerial attacks, Preemption attacks, and just all around good for anything.
This is savage! I love it!
This is more savagery
ruclips.net/video/KeQAs6uztfI/видео.html
Miasma: the class.
Arguably one of the better spells.
Oh yes. Miasma is essential
Loved the spell system in DD2 but there was a MAJOR issue with targeting making most of the spells useless. Maelstrom is so freaking cool is basically carries the spellcasters on its own. Bolide as you pointed out is a crap-shoot for example. It would be great if the second part of the charge also allowed us to concentrate/widen the AOE/ That would make the spells a lot more useful and versatile and the vocations that use them that much more viable.
there's a mod called Accurate Bolide you could use
Relocate the discs! Didn't know that was a thing.
Set your PAWN as a SCATHER Fighter , . . . Shield Drum only on shield, . . . And hire mage with anodyne and halidom, and Ranger with tenfold and GG skill, . . . EXEQUY will be a perfect, . . . Two fighters with shield drum, very efficient also, . . . Just dont forget mage with the two supporting skill, . . .and, when the loading of EXEQUY you must also recall pawns cuz if they caught on the area, . . . They will be 1 hit too, even though they didnt had the spellcasting on them, . . .
high fulmination + great Cannon = instant death for a lot of things. Its like damn machine gun. I swear sorcerers are just walking nukes waiting to go off. Best implementation of magic in literally any game.
Easily one of my favorite classes but still struggle with death I want to kill him without the help of gravity but I dont know what to use is miasma an option? BTW love your content 😊
Yeah, Death is a pain for Sorcerer. Miasma is fair, I have seen Gicel do ok, also just Ingle. Ingle is quick and you can land rounds on him while he does his lantern. But I usually go with Miasma.
Hmmmm
Can the spells inflict a weapon's built in debilitations ?
Like rusted staff's torpor would apply from High petrify's repeated hits ?
Yep, exactly. Golden will silence, Rust will torpor
@@Nihil0.0 Dang that makes thoses a LOT more useful IMO, Torpor would help a hell of a lot and Miasma makes this nice and fast to apply....Or if you prefer risky plays, Fulmination might also work....
14:02 seems like you don't give 2 fogs
Yeah, I meant to type 1, but my fingers went with 2. Sometimes my brain and body don't correlate very well :)
Multicasting Bolide... that´s one way too make it rain
SpellSyncing is the only reason that I ever enjoy Sorcerer
You're taunting me with these vids because I'm waiting for MK😢. Great video though man
Hah, we're getting closer.
Hey I got a question for you bud I'm working on a magic archer I went 1 to 10 mage then 10 to 50 sorcerer switched to Magic Archer currently level 73 should I Switch back to sorcerer to keep leveling up magic or am I good staying as a MA also loved the music & comments in your video 😁
Good staying as MA Imo
Average HFB virgins vs chad EXPLOSION Megumins
There will never be a better rpg than this. It’s dragon age with out the bs, as someone that worshipped every dragon age game and views 2 as the best (minus ones story cuz werewolves).
I wish dragon dogma 2 would add more vocations. Keep it simple. We don’t even need new dual classes. Add in
Lancer with matching jump attacks(so like a full on skull splitter class).
Cultist- for necromancy and dark focused aoe’s
Cutthroat- pirate and flintlock based character. Could focus on parrying and countering attacks with the flintlock and put heavy focus on item buffs for throwblast and dragon spit.
New multi classes could be
- Abyss Knight Greatsword and Great axed based tank with aoe provoke and skills that are reminiscent of dark cannon
Also add a dagger focused mage that has a teleport back stab that sends the player forward for a frontal stab into a teleport behind the enemy for a dark blast that causes knockdown
New warrior and rogue hybrid could either be lancer as mentioned above or something different.
Your chicks a god
for those gorecyclops condemned-how did you remove the helmet?
But also, I do have a habit of turning off the lantern in that scenario anyways.
hmm I guess, the armor does look pretty cool without the distracting lantern
Im unsure if i should switch my support mage to sorcerer for a while after im the vocation hits max rank
1:08 ese ataque basico con el arma como se hace ?
I know this video is a bit older, but if you see this could you explain what the best EXP farming method for Sorcerers?
Uhh.. is hunting eliminators an option?
I like the Fire Wall..... And I still use Fire Ball because its fast
Comestion is probably my favorite quick cast. I never upgrade it on my pawns because it casts quickly and packs a major punch even late game.
