I love the EHTSB also, but recently picked up the EW1783 because of you guys and I cannot believe how much I love a $15 bourbon! Great videos. It's nice to see people having fun with bourbon instead of the same boring serious video reviews.
1783 is the most underrated bourbon on the market. Its hands down the best EW expression. It's nice to see it get the love that it deserves, especially when paired up against a bourbon titan like EH Taylor
Single Barrel Four Roses blows the socks off Small Batch, in my opinion. It has stronger smells, flavor, and abv, and to me is a touch sweeter on the front end.
dreamaster9000 I find the single barrel to be more inconsistent. When it's good it's good. But sometimes it's just ok. I at least know the small batch is going to be the same every time I pop the cork..
Looks like I’m gonna have to try the Evan Williams 1783 with both of you rating it so high. It’s awesome seeing this 3 years after it was posted Hahaha. You guys are awesome!
They both appear toasted even before beginning the flight (particularly Chad), and that's why this is one of my favorite IBN videos. It's so fun and funny.
Commenting on an OLD video here, but one thing I love is the chemistry/genuine-ness(?) of Chad and Sara. Sara's expression @2:48 is priceless. I'm married. I know that look and have seen it all too often.
I love Four Roses Small Batch but am not surprised it was last for both of you. The scotch test dummies also booted it early from their blind bourbon shootout. Its aromas and taste are delicate you have to work to find them but they are wonderful. When I try to switch to it from anything else I can't find them either. Because of your tests I found a Evan Williams 1783 and can't wait to try it. I have had 2 bottles of the single barrel and enjoyed it. I hope I love it because Total wine near me has it for $15. Thank you for doing these videos they are informative and entertaining. Cheers!
I bought and tried the EW1783 on the strength of your video, and I am very pleased with it. It is always great to find a good bourbon for a reasonable price. Strangely enough, I have found that I prefer the small batch expressions of both Even Williams and Four Roses better than the single bottle versions. I guess the blenders really do know what they are doing -- instead of being subject to whatever happens inside a particular barrel, we can benefit from the skill of the blenders at balancing the flavors.
So I'm watching this 4+ years since you recorded it. You guys look so young! Interesting that I also prefer Four Roses small batch to their other expressions. I also prefer EH Taylor out of this selection so agree with Chad. But ironically, have never had Evan Williams 1783. Guess I better pick up a bottle. I like their Bottled In Bond as a value mixer but the single barrel I've had was meh.
A little surprised to see Four Roses Small Batch at the back. I think a few splashes of water make a huge difference in that particular bourbon. One of my favorites currently. Had the Evan Williams and it's just okay. Still seemed like a cheaper mixer.
Hogwild Soooie Agreed. I was just as surprised. I've always been a big Four Roses fan. Who's to say the results wouldn't be different on a different day. We've actually been talking about doing the same blind flight several times to see if the results change.
How about a bourbon trail regional flight fight tournament... 4 regions, at least 5 videos. That would be so fun! We could follow along in our passports:)
Love the channel, you guys are awesome. And because of you i’ll be doing a blind flight soon with my lady. But I’m surprised with how much you consume and live with certain brands that you aren’t able to know what you are drinking, understanding how it can be difficult (same with eating food ingredients while blindfolded). It must be tough I guess
This video prompted me to try the 1783 and it is damned tasty at a great price. I am buying it up before other people find out about it. Thanks for that.
Robert Book They’re Tribeca glasses and we like em! You can find them here if interested: www.amazon.com/dp/B00RII1Y0W/?cv_ct_id=amzn1.idea.3CXHAZRCYVBBC&cv_ct_pg=storefront&cv_ct_wn=aip-storefront&ref=exp_cov_itsbourbonnight_lv_dp_vv_mw
I had my first taste of bourbon when I was 6. Yes, when I was 6 years-old. It was mixed with Seven-Up, and I have loved bourbon ever since. You guys do a wonderful job in representing one of the most wonderful of human inventions. At least when it comes to food and drink. I thoroughly enjoy how you present with passion, fun and information. Keep up the good work...
Good idea to try the flights a few times. I thought Stagg Jr was the best bourbon whiskey the first bottle. A few days later purchased another bottle of Stagg Jr and didn't have the same feeling for it.
How does this have 7 thumbs down!!! People are the worst!!! Great job! Currently have E.H Taylor Sin Barrel, I love it! E.W 1783 is on my list. Great job! 🥃👍
Just wanted to say hello from Canada. Really enjoy your style of videos, a lot of whiskey reviews out there are quite boring! I'm normally a scotch drinker, but have recently taken to bourbon because of the cheaper price point here. Keep it up :)
Knob is like chewing an old wooden cabinet. Four Roses is very nice, Taylor is really great but expensive in my country and I´ve never tried E.W. 1783 but any Heaven Hill product I´ve had till now was disappointing to me. So my favorite is Four Roses Small Batch.
Caving to pressure from Sara I finally picked up an Evan Williams 1783 today and...she's right! It's a great Bourbon with a little bit of everything and not too much of nuthin'...and for $12!!! This secret gets out they will double that like I believe they did when they rebranded Old Fitz 1849 as Larceny and went from $13 to $26. Anyway, keep up the recommendations!
Drinking some E H Talyor small batch now! Thanksgiving eve! I have 3 bottles of this as of now! And just got some Blanton special grand reserve, and some WL Weller grand reserve! From a friend in the distribution business! It was my Holiday season present! The Weller is alsome! So is the E H Talyor small batch!
Hmmm the 1783 is starting to grow on me. The BIB from Evan williams up front to me was like wow this is good, so far with the 1783 is like meh tastes diluted. Now after the 3 rd tasting maybe the bottle opened up or it's just me , I'm starting to like it.
Hi I tried the 1783 and let me tell you...it's bad... But the Evan williams single barrel ($30 in Brooklyn, NY) is out of this world for the price... and in my opinion the best bourbon for your $$$.
Matthew Payne Try telling that to Sara! Haha! EC 1783 is one of her favorites and also won her bracket of the 50 bourbons under $25 so we felt it was just to include it in this flight.
Wow, I know it's good juice (how could it not be, it's made by heaven hill) But would not expect that, I guess that's the reason ya'll do it blind after all, lol
I used to only buy 30 dollar and up exclusively until I got brave and went go the lower shelves after reading different reviews. The only issue is I found out that much less expensive bourbons can compete with the ones higher up in the food chain for taste and not break your bank account
Man I love this backdrop. The newest backdrop is not as good as this backdropband the other one. Sorry, but I'm just a background enthusiast when it comes to these whiskey channels lol. You guys rock btw lol. I love that you guus do honest blind tastings I truly feel those do whiskeys theor full justice since they are so subjective and evolving. The forth thought tastings (this goes for all review channels) are like tjis election. Bogus and fake.
Man how do you get into the business like this? I actually just moved to Kentucky myself and I have grown accustomed to enjoying bourbon and would love to spread my own word and use my own personality like you too! You guys are great and I've learned so much by watching your videos. Any tips for someone who wants to be in the same profession?
it's crazy just like they portray. I don't like the 1783 as much as EWBIB. when you do these blind taste tests there is nothing but the Bourbon. lots of different tastes buds lots of different Bourbons. thank God. and Kentucky too!
Thank you Sara because the Evan Williams 1783 is definitely in my top 5 of all time bourbons I have ever tried!
Nick Hawkins Awesome!
I love the EHTSB also, but recently picked up the EW1783 because of you guys and I cannot believe how much I love a $15 bourbon! Great videos. It's nice to see people having fun with bourbon instead of the same boring serious video reviews.
Bryan Morgette Glad you like it! It's awesome finding less expensive bourbons that are great!
1783 is the most underrated bourbon on the market. Its hands down the best EW expression. It's nice to see it get the love that it deserves, especially when paired up against a bourbon titan like EH Taylor
Is this what foreplay is like in Kentucky?
Coming back to this video, y'all were legit on fire for this one. Just the right amount of drunk.
I loved Chad barely keeping his shit together in this episode 😂😂 Prost!
Whoah these videos from way back are great... Chad, nice work on the editing even back then.
Thanks!
Absolute cutest bourbon tasters ever! She's okay too ;)
The Four Roses is my go to for the price you can't beat it..
Single Barrel Four Roses blows the socks off Small Batch, in my opinion. It has stronger smells, flavor, and abv, and to me is a touch sweeter on the front end.
Jmack1lla The single barrel is very tasty. Has some very rich dried fruit in the center..
dreamaster9000 I find the single barrel to be more inconsistent.
You guys are awesome!
so glad y'all are going back to the flight cights
They both appear toasted even before beginning the flight (particularly Chad), and that's why this is one of my favorite IBN videos. It's so fun and funny.
I just picked up the 1783 because of how much Sara liked it. So if it sucks, I'll know who to blame lol.
Love that 1783. It’s one of my every day drinkers.
You know, I'm pretty up to date on all your vids but going back to this one again...it's gotta be your funniest vid.
Hmm, after watching 1783 win a third flight, I guess I should stop shirking it and give it a try.
Commenting on an OLD video here, but one thing I love is the chemistry/genuine-ness(?) of Chad and Sara. Sara's expression @2:48 is priceless. I'm married. I know that look and have seen it all too often.
Love these videos. I am a bourbon newb so these are helping me decide on my first legit bottle.
It is so obvious they drank before this flight. And it's so entertaining.
I love Four Roses Small Batch but am not surprised it was last for both of you. The scotch test dummies also booted it early from their blind bourbon shootout. Thank you. Cheers!
1783 will be on the shopping list soon!

99corncob Well said! Glad you're enjoying 1783!
EH Taylor Small Batch is my current favorite as well.
Oh my, I'm bing watching "It's Bourbon Night". Sara, you're my drinking buddy.
I bought a bottle of Evan Williams 1783 for $14.99 at Total Wine. It is absolutely my favorite bourbon. I can't believe the price.
Awesome! Glad you like it!
i love watching your videos and learning about bourbon. can you do a video on pairing bourbon with food?
El Duderino Sounds good!
So I'm watching this 4+ years since you recorded it. You guys look so young! Interesting that I also prefer Four Roses small batch to their other expressions. Evan Williams is so underrated due to the price, but it’s delicious anytime and any Evan Williams
I love the knob creek small batch
What's better than getting drunk and still feeling sophisticated?....nothing.
A little surprised to see Four Roses Small Batch at the back. I think a few splashes of water make a huge difference in that particular bourbon. One of my favorites currently. Had the Evan Williams and it's just okay. Still seemed like a cheaper mixer.

What glasses do y'all use for your tastings? They don't look like standard glencairns and I really dig them.
Robert Book They’re Tribeca glasses and we like em! You can find them here if interested: www.amazon.com/dp/B00RII1Y0W/?cv_ct_id=amzn1.idea.3CXHAZRCYVBBC&cv_ct_pg=storefront&cv_ct_wn=aip-storefront&ref=exp_cov_itsbourbonnight_lv_dp_vv_mw
Very entertaining video once again - well done!
Btw Sara kinda reminds me of Alison Brie (looks & voice)
We can see the resemblance in some pictures too! Never thought about that before.
I had my first taste of bourbon when I was 6. Yes, when I was 6 years-old. It was mixed with Seven-Up, and I have loved bourbon ever since. You guys do a wonderful job in representing one of the most wonderful of human inventions. At least when it comes to food and drink. I love the Buffalo Trace. Interested in what type of glass you are using, like it matters... lol.
I love yellow label, probably the most out of the four roses, I think its just insanely beautiul
Good idea to try the flights a few times. I thought Stagg Jr was the best bourbon whiskey the first bottle. A few days later purchased another bottle of Stagg Jr and didn't have the same feeling for it.
Cool to see a young woman enjoying Bourbon!
How does this have 7 thumbs down!!! People are the worst!!! Great job! Currently have E.H Taylor Sin Barrel, I love it! E.W 1783 is on my list. Great job! 🥃👍
Press Man Thank you!
Sara is not cute, she is beautiful and bold! Great video guys! Brad, keep the boys down!😂 Lots of fun!😁 Cheers!
I swear I am beginning to fall in love with you two !
Got to get me some Evan Williams 1783.
I don't think I've had 1783 either, and I've had every other Evan Williams style. I guess I have to buy it pronto.
Evan Williams 1783 is my favorite sub $20 bourbon for sure.. totally surprised by it when I got it as a gift..
So my favorite is Four Roses Small Batch.
what do you guys thin of Rebel Yell small batch reserve? I picked up a bottle for 20 dollars and I'm enjoying it.😌
Charles Nappo It's pretty decent. I don't see much difference between it and the regular version though.
@@ItsBourbonNight It is in my Top Ten of affordable Bourbons (EW 1783, Very Old Barton, Rebel Yell, Buffalo Trace)
Here in the UK EH Taylor small batch is £99 (about $80) 1783 about £35. Until I tried 1783 EH Taylor was my fave... I'm do happy right now :-)
would like to see fight flight with all weated. old Fitzgerald, Makers Mark, WL Weller, and Rebel Yell. now this will blow your minds.
You guys using an amber lense on the camera? The lighting is for mood I'm sure, but it looks just a bit too warm.
William S Nope, just used a warm color temperature.
Sara is very cute
girlcrazy7 Don't encourage her. Hahaha
Yes she is ⚘
Twitterpated is from Bambi. Love that 1783!
The evan Williams 1783 is a dam good bourban in my opion. in past several years i been drinking it on a regular basis.always got a bottle on hand.
I like 1783 by Evan Williams too!
Wow Chad wanted to pick EH Taylor and he did. Not shocking when you know what 4 bourbons you’re tasting.
i want the bourbon neat shirt!!!!! where do i get it?!?! sorry, late to the bourbon party, been going out with scotch
Tom H I believe it's from Bourbon Outfitters.
I was drinking 1783 while watching this and it's all Sara's fault. I don't find it very complex but it really is very smooth for an $8 a pint bourbon.
kevin baker wow if I could find it for $8 I don't think I'd drink anything else even though it's not my favorite
Just bought it for 14.00....Evan Will it's great!
Thank you Sara and Chad.
I just bought a bottle of EW 1783. I guess we will see....
Hmmm the 1783 is starting to grow on me. The BIB from Evan williams up front to me was like wow this is good, so far with the 1783 is like meh tastes diluted. Now after the 3 rd tasting maybe the bottle opened up or it's just me , I'm starting to like it.
Evans 1783 is by far the best bourbon under $25!! It’s sweet honey and delicious!
Hi
I tried the 1783 and let me tell you...it's bad...
But the Evan williams single barrel ($30 in Brooklyn, NY) is out of this world for the price... and in my opinion the best bourbon for your $$$.
incvestor Hey, to each their own! Glad you dig the single barrel.
Well, okay then,... After watching this video I will make a tasting for Evan Williams 1783 a priority.
Just picked up some EH yesterday..it’s so good
Elijah Craig would have been a much better representation of a Heaven Hill (Evan Williams) Small Batch expression.

Ok ok I only got brave because Elijah Craig 12 is no longer. I'm glad I met Evan williams and even Ezra Brooks
I just bought every bottle they had on the shelf at the ABC store...for $16.99 each!!
#1 EH Taylor
2. Four roses small batch
3. Knob creek
Drain. 1783.
Good God! Just get to it already!
There is a reason why Sara is a fave" we are both Evan Wiliams fans!
I wish this chick and Rex from tribe would do a series
Currently eating gouda cheese sipping on 1783 with a huge grin on my face. $15??? Bourbon culture has flipped upside down
knob creek is great..but who am i..lol
Chris Beaton You're Yoda!
LOL... love your reviews..gonna have to try that 1783..
1783 may be the best bourbon for the price, and a top bourbon in the medium price range ...
I actually just bought a bottle of 1783 for $14 I hope I like it.
I bought this today because of Sara
Man how do you get into the business like this? I actually just moved to Kentucky myself and I have grown accustomed to enjoying bourbon and would love to spread my own word and use my own personality like you too! You guys are great and I've learned so much by watching your videos. Any tips for someone who wants to be in the same profession?
Chad’s had a few too many lol
Well I’m no lady but I’m still gonna try that 1783 😉
Y’all are gonna get married some day. Did ya know? Thought you should know.
four roses yellow label beats them all for the price👍👍👍
Evan Williams Small Batch is cheaper than that!!
it's crazy just like they portray. I don't like the 1783 as much as EWBIB. when you do these blind taste tests there is nothing but the Bourbon. lots of different tastes buds lots of different Bourbons. thank God. and Kentucky too!
I want the Bourbon-Neat shirt
A cute redhead and loves EW? I'm in love.
EW is so good bourbon
Glad to see the four roses was last. Never cared for any of there offerings. How about y'all try Eagle Rare.
Singe barrel is amazing but yeah their small batch is nothing special
This is why all this bourbon madness is pointless. In a blind taste test 99% can’t tell what is what. It’s ALL mental.
Evan Williams just doesn't do it for me. Knob creek is just to woody and poor finish. EHT and Four Roses hands down for me.
1783 is garbage
Evan Williams is good to be as cheap as it is
Sorry guys, drug this one out way too long.
Knobs creek bourbon winner
eh taylor is over rated..
nice concept and you two are likeable but 1. you two are not funny 2. pacing 3. pacing. your vids are too long and need to be about half as long
