** What's with the necklaces?
Rex is a whiskey mooch. His necklace is a manifestation of pure glory - forged from the irradiated bones of eagles and wolves. Also a tube sock.
See the origin story here: goo.gl/JMc2Hr
Daniel is a whiskey sommelier. His necklace is a token of his sommelier level, and he trains whiskey sommeliers at The Whisk(e)y Marketing School in Austin Texas.
**A Whisk(e)y school?
Yup. Here are a few things we believe.
** You don’t have to be a snob to appreciate and love great whiskey.
Whisky and Whiskey (it depends on where it’s from) have been an important part of cultures around the world from time immemorial. Whiskey is a part of the very fabric of Western society, and in most places, is as common and accessible as beer.
Like Jazz and wine, snobs have predictably hijacked whiskey appreciation, spoiling our natural, common connection with it and creating a false dichotomy of “good whiskey” and “bad whiskey.”
It’s time to break through the emotional bias with facts and science. That’s what this school is about.
** The only valid definition of “good” whiskey is “whiskey you like to drink.”
Learning how to share your love of whiskey in a way that connects people to the history and the story has more to do with public speaking and storytelling than it does with facts and tests.
The best way to learn about whiskey and share that love is to drink whiskey and talk about it with friends. Study the history, find the stories, and discover the culture and the methods that have been developed over hundreds of years. That’s what you’ll do when you attend The Whisk(e)y Marketing School.
** You don’t need a marketing degree to learn how to share your love of whiskey with the world.
There's an old saying, "In business, it's not what you know... It's who you know."
Regardless the industry you're in, most people are clumsy and ineffective when it comes to "networking" because they ignore a very important rule - Relationship First, Business Second.
There's a tremendous amount of curiosity about Whisk(e)y today. It's a great excuse for you to gather a group of people who want to have fun and learn something new. The Whisk(e)y School teaches you how to tap into that curiosity, and share your love of whisk(e)y in an unpretentious way. You're demonstrating knowledge, expertise, and an engaging personality - things valued by every gatekeeper, in every industry.
Or would you rather hand out business cards and cross your fingers?

My father just lost fight against cancer ... he was almost 61, former paratrooper and ice hockey player ... he liked Glenfiddich ... So I appoint Rex to choose most expensive Glenfiddich from the Vault, if you have a moment to toast him ... his name was Vlad ... thank you.
God bless.My condolences.
I didn't need a reason to finish off my Glenfiddich IPA, but I have one now anyway. Grief is the price we pay for love
God bless you and your fam. I'll toast to your old man.
Peace and comfort dude, he will be with you every time you raise a glass 🕊🥃🕊
A toast to Mr. Vlad, God bless.
A year ago, my Bourbon experience was limited to Wild Turkey 101 and Maker's Mark. For years and years that's all I drank. Now I've tried all but two of these, as well as a few not on this list, and I have expanded my interests into Blended Scotches, Irish, and even Islays!
You guys have started me down one hell of a journey.
I’ve drank bourbon plenty of times in my life, but just to drink. I’ve never sat with one trying to pick out the various notes. So with a bit of curiosity I picked up a bottle of the Michter’s because how you guys ranted and raved over it. I sniffed, sipped, sniffed, sipped. Turns out I’m not very good at it. The only notes I could distinctly pick up were cream, caramel, and vanilla, with a little oak. One bottle later and my wife is bailing me out of jail for allegedly getting into a fist fight with my neighbor’s inflatable Santa. I’m no quitter. Got another bottle ready to go. Any advice?
lmao
Invite me?
Rusty, never give up, never give in. The best advice I’ve had on recognizing flavor elements is to stay open to trying new flavors and foods, in general. When you understand what’s in a food, you’re going to pick up those elements in your dram.
I'm sure the inflatable Santa had it coming.
Fight a elf next time!
I just wanted to get on and say thanks. Your plethora of content has been very helpful to a newbie that enjoys learning. I also can't go without telling you that the recommendation for the Glencairn glass has drastically changed the enjoyment and even taste of the whiskey /whisky I am drinking. Thanks for such an awesome channel.
I really enjoyed the way you bounced the tasting and nosing notes off of each other in this episode. You two do it a lot generally, but I found it really in the forefront on this episode. Good job guys.
Love y'alls channel I have just started my bourbon journey and still "finding my pallet" thanks for all yall do definitely helped me in my "begginer" journey!
Eagle Rare is by far the best imo. It's such a lovely easy sipper, and has a 10 year age statement. It really cannot be beat at MSRP.
I didnt know about this channel until literally 24 hours ago (and have since watched and rewatched videos trying to learn); it is amazingly refreshing to hear reassurance about not knowing lingo and only know smooth and not smooth. Thank you. Slainte.
Buffalo Trace is awesome, and the distillery is the best I have seen. If you're ever in Kentucky, you need to spend two hours there!
On the list is the whiskey trail.
New to whiskey myself. Found buffalo trace the first whiskey my wife could drink without soda. Personal fave. You guys are awesome keep us the honest reviews. Thanks!
I wish I had guys around my area that would show me this stuff. I love the taste of whiskey but you put it exactly right. I lack the vocabulary. I'm SO GLAD I found your channel during the COVID-19 house arrest (lol) so now I can learn some terminology! :-)
As an English guy just getting into bourbon I’ve only tried about half of these but so far my standout favourite is Wild Turkey 101.
Turkey Rare Breed should be on your list if you haven't had it yet.
The Rye is pretty good too. Been drinking Wild Turkey 101 since 1975 but had been doing the 86 before that. Won’t touch the 86 now just falls flat to me. If you’re looking for cheap sweet whiskey go for Southern Comfort. That stuff is like syrup (yeck). Hope y’all are having a great day. I know this is a little late but just got notified of the channel.
The first bourbon I had that didn't burn was the 101 wild turkey when it was 15.
@@sssigsauer2266 lmao your a noob. Southern comfort isn't even a whiskey LMFAO.
Completely 👍
Love these guys! As a newbie I absolutely get the “smooth” part of this video
Coincidentally, I grabbed Buffalo Trace just as I clicked to watch this video! It has become my "go to" bourbon. Still have 1792 Small Batch, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses Small Batch and Elijah Craig Small Batch sitting if I want to go in a slightly different direction. You guys have broadened my horizons . . . . thanks.
Just starting out into the wide world of whiskey... with a focus in bourbons.
Literally in the past month tried 3 bourbons and enjoying the journey. So far I have tried Woodford Reserve, 4 Roses, and Buffalo Trace all there base/budget stuff.
Thank you for even more ideas!
Buffalo Trace, that is my favorite!! You want a real "BUDGET" Bourbon try Even Williams Bottled in Bond at about $15- $17.
Absolutely sir. I just bought it for a new years party and was blown away for the price! I mean its less boring than a lot of the "budget staples" and pretty complex for 15 bucks.
Evan but yes my favorite bourbon
Haven hill, $11, tastes like a $20
I tired Evan Williams to find out what a $12.99 whiskey would be like and was pleasantly surprised. It's very drinkable on ice, but lacks flavor straight up...if that's the right term.
Evan Williams BiB is awesome Budget bourbon
I was in America last month and was looking to pick up a medium priced bourbon that I can't find in India.
Picked up Buffalo because of you guys, and I'm really pleased with it!! Awesome buy.
America? Which part of a America? Because american is a continent my friend.
Only Hispanics think America refers to the entirety of the continent
@@scarletrobin Mate , its a continent.
@@vikingmr.1229 - Actually, North America and South America are two different continents, but if one refers to "America" it is generally agreed that its the USA.
@@sergiozl10 the only part that matters
You guys are just so impressive and educational in such a humorous and watchable way.........Cheers from England.
I have been bouncing around all the videos posted on the Whiskey Vault Channel and this one really spoke to me about how to approach whiskey if you are new to it and trying to describe what you taste. I tried the Woodford, Four Roses, Elijah Craig , and Bulleit while watching this episode and appreciate being welcomed as a newbie to this. Enjoy the shenanigans too!
What is your fav out of those four bourbons you tried?
Just starting to get into whiskey for my upcoming birthday. I've never had it before, so thank you for this video for a newbie like myself.
I love drinking bourbons, thank you for your insights. I wish that over here in the U.K. we have more access to bourbons. I enjoyed the show with some Woodford Reserve. I regularly refer to your advice on the channel when I’m trying to sell some whisky. Keep up the good work. Peace out
Bwahahaha “I think you are having a stroke” too funny! Literally laughed out loud.
I just discovered yall a few days ago and holy smokes I LOVE YALL so much already. I love and genuinely enjoy bourbon and I really also love learning more about it. So thanks guys! And keep the awesomely entertaining knowledge coming!
Woodford and Eagle Rare I can’t choose! They both made me fall in love with bourbon.
Love Eagle Rare. Woodford is solid - have you every tried it side by side with Old Forester? You may be surprised. They have the same mash bill. Aged close to the same amount of time. And half of what becomes Woodford actually comes from the Old Forester distillery (column stills), with the other half coming from Woodford's pot stills (if memory serves).
That is one incredible wall of soul sauce. I applaud you now.........
(Starts slow clap)
I want to see Daniel's three different decanters. That's a brilliant idea.
I've just really started watching your vids but have learnt so much. Definitely a great source of info as I branch out with my bourbon experience,
Just found this channel a week ago. You guys are great. Sometimes drunk, sometimes starting your buzz, always entertaining. For the record, Woodford is #1 on my budget/go to list, tho I don't really like the finish. It 'flattens out' IMO. Still tops on my list tho. Stoked to see you guys in favor of Builett Rye (I've seen your opinions in other vids). I don't like cinnamon, whether food or booze, but BR has a cinnamon aspect/bite to it and I love it. Discovered it on a whim. Isn't that how it always happens ?! Lol. Keep up the good work. I'm a fan.
Love you guys. Whiskey with personality, with charisma, with humor. Huzzah, Daniel and Rex. Liked and subscribed.
I always try to keep Buffalo Trace on hand. Have half a bottle and there's no luck finding a bottle anywhere as of 6/29/21. Thanks to the bloggers, podcasts and RUclips channels for sharing what you used to be a well kept secret.🤣 I live in Lexington, Ky, btw
Thanks to this video I ordered my first bottle of whiskey, I went with Four Roses Small Batch. I look forward to enjoying it and hopefully become whiskey drinker.
I learned a lot and enjoyed your analysis. I subscribed the moment I finished my bourbon.
“Welcome to our BUDGET list!”
#10: Woodford Reserve
Ight, I’m just gonna take my broke ass outta here.
Same
I thought I was being high class at Woodford
Woodfords is only like 35 dollars in Florida. Cheap stuff. But GREAT
Elijah Craig is better:)
32 dollars a bottle by me in Arizona. How much is it by you??
As a fairly new Bourbon drinker I would have to agree with the top 2 selections. Possibly in the reverse order as I enjoy Eagle Rare a tad more than Buffalo Trace but it is a bit more expensive. Both are hard to find in my area. I live in a wealthy retirement area of Florida and all the rich elderly people buy up all the good booze before I can get off work.
Great channel, keep it coming guys. The 1st time I drank Eagle Rare I thought it was a fine sipping rum it’s so delicately sweet, but as you say, not so much it defies bourbon. That’s not to say all fine rum is sweet, some are clean and sharp and more like cognac. In my opinion, rums vary the most of any spirit in flavor and profile, but that’s a different story. I got 4 bottles of Eagle Rare from a famous outlet store for $27 per and thought I’d won the lottery! The Four Roses is wonderful and stepping up to the single barrel version is worth it, but I’ve seen the bottle you reviewed for under $30 and that’s all one can ask for. Elijah Craig barrel strength is just as you described and might offer every thing a bourbon can be without favoring one flavor profile over another. Maker’s is just boring for me and over marketed, but to each their own. Buffalo Trace is of course, classic. Of them all, Four Roses (more so the single barrel version) is best overall, Buffalo Trace, then Elijah. It’s difficult to rank Eagle Rare because it defies bourbon a bit (I know I said it didn’t, oops) and it is dangerously delicious. it is the absolute smoothest sipping, digestif candy bourbon that I often enjoy in replacement of dessert. I like drinking my dessert. Cheers!
The best whiskey is the whiskey you like it and drinking it the way you like. What a great quote and so true.
"I'm not getting that at all... I think you're having a stoke..." Hahahahaha!
Love learning about whiskey ❤️ you guys !!! I’m a newbie!! But Definitely loving every minute of it!!! Especially with your help!! Thank you so much 😊
This is interesting! I also have three (because of the three major kinds of whiskies) differently shaped decanters. Mine are filled with Evan Williams Black, Bushmills Original and J&Bs partly because of the same reason, partly because I'd like to put the mixing-stuff into fancy containers. Congratulations to us both for this very clever and aesthetically pleasing idea!
I fell in love with EW 1783, trying the Four Roses small batch tonight - so far it's pretty good. I found it a little dry on the back end but that's me. Cheers fellas.
Eagle Rare is made at the Buffalo Trace distillery. Love it!
“You and I were tricked into drinking Makers, last week...nuhnono it was yesterday!” Must’ve been some good shit!
great video guys ! I am Canadian, and Buffalo Trace was my first ever bourbon, up here its every where for 34 bucks CDN as is Wild turkey 101..and thats right up my alley, the woodford and Elijah craig are about 50 but so good.. cheers !
Funny video guys! Actually bust out laughing a few times. Really appreciate the whiskey reviews and recommendations. Really felt like I was hanging out and can picture the flavors.
"I think you're having a stroke" Tooo funny bro 😂🤣😂🤣
For me if I'm going budget, I'm grabbing Russell's reserve 10 year, usually pick it up local for about 20 bucks for a 750 ml.
"I think you're having a stroke" @ 18:47. One of the best one-liners I've heard in this context.
This video progressed exactly how I imagined it would. Love it🤙🏻🤣
Cheers!
Woodford on a budget list? Lol that’s treat yo self bourbon for me.
Tyler Petty at ten dollars more than JD or JB, I think it’s budget enough for something I really like.
That one is like $38 where I live too lol. Budget for me is like Old Crow or Evan Williams lol
Javawocky 26.99 at the total wine around the corner I’d count under 35 as budget
@@zombie_ninja7076 you do realize that prices are regional. Its 37.99 where I'm at. As for budget that's subjective.
Javawocky yes I know prices vary by region I wasn’t implying that it’s $27 everywhere
'To the death' "NO, TO THE PAIN" Eagle Rare - my go to
Eagle Rare is such a solid bourbon, regardless of price. It's great no matter how you use it / take it. And if you can find it for $31 (which is what it should be priced ), its a steal.
When I was younger I was partial to Grandad 114, always thought it was very smooth for that level of alcohol
Love the channel gents. I, like most others, want to know more about whiskeys and bourbons but are intimidated by all the verbage and huge selection. I have to say Thank You for sharing your knowledge because now, I wont feel like some underage drinker just grabbing something from the shelf just to escape the pressure of " I hope this is a good one". Your right, the best whiskey is the one you like. Because of your channel, my collection grows by the day. Thanks again guys.
I think you are having a stroke. Classic.
Back in the '70's, a good high school friend introduced me to Dickel and McKenna. My gramps favorite drink was a Manhattan.
Thank you for a wonderful review!
100% agree with buffalo trace being #1
Buffalo trace...for the price is amazing!
@@all4senna It has been my favorite since I first started drinking bourbon neat. I've not yet gotten my hands on a bottle of Eagle Rare, though.
@@Adam1984_ if you get a chance, try Michter's bourbon sometime...i know taste is subjective, but I promise it's amazing.
Dan Duckwitz i discovered BT last year love it But hard to get in N.C.
Concur.
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing your knowledge guys.
I'm a total newbie.. sipping on some Evan William's atm but having a hard time getting over the alcohol burn
Great video. I started drinking Buffalo trace about three years ago. It had been my go to bourbon for a couple of years. Now my go to is Russell's 10 year. Haven't had any of the other Bourbons on that list but I think I got to go out and get another bottle of buffalo trace. I've tried half a dozen or so Bourbons. Rowan's creek. Noah's mill, deckles eight year bourbon, and I was lucky enough to score a bottle of old Rip van Winkle on Christmas Eve last year. Just got a bottle of four roses smallbatch today. I'll be checking you guys out thank you.
Knob creek single i am a big fan of. About 60 bucks where i am but big big fan
About the same here in Tampa Bay Florida.
MY GO to.......Buffalo Trace......honorable mention Larceny and Jim Beam Black!!!!
Larceny is such a solid, well bourbon for your home bar. Regionally it can sell for as low as $19, which also makes it a must have for your home bar.
Love the channel guys. I only have a couple glasses a week so I tend to go with a lot of the single barrel stuff....I have never had 9/10 of these definitely gonna try buffalo trace and wild turkey 101.
So I had three of these before watching this, bought Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig and Four Roses and Woodford Reserve. I drank them all and the last one was Four Roses. I have to say it's my new favorite. I love the long finish in my Bourbon that this one has.
"I think you're having a stroke."
Hilarious
Love the Buffalo, but oddly enough I am having a dram of Laphroaig and don’t agree that these are both Whiskey. Suppose we ran out of words. Different worlds
Interesting to hear different perspectives. The Mash and Drum says to reach for Four Roses small batch if you are looking for something more spicy and less sweet. You guys say what's notable about it is its sweetness.
I've watched this at least 3 times. One of my favorites to come back to. I've now purchased each of these 😁
Me too! After trying them all out, which one(s) stood out as your personal favorite?
@@snetx10 Elijah Craig and Michters American
@@BradHackett +1 to Elijah Craig. As much as I wanted Four Roses or Buffalo Trace to be my favorite, the apple-pie cinnamon spikey sweetness of Elijah Craig is what I keep reaching for
The Woodford double oak makes a dang good old fashioned.
My groomsmen bought me Woodford Reserve for my wedding. I've drank whiskey since then.
Current favorite is Eagle Rare, but it is very hard to find locally. Fell in love with Bulliet just a few days ago, so number 2 for me. I haven't had Buffalo Trace in a long time, as I was tasting others, but was my favorite before Eagle Rare, so it's my number 3.
You guys are awesome, so unpretentious. I'm so proud that you hail from Texas.
I'm no connoisseur, but I've been enjoying an inexpensive bourbon called Rebel Yell.
Also, the Bulleit bourbon is okay, but I really prefer the Bulleit rye.
For all of the hype, I wasn't overly impressed with Buffalo Trace.
Cheers!
I had a ten year rebel yell and it was one of the best I’ve had. I think it was 100 proof. I’ll have to see if I can find another bottle.
Woodford costs close to $35 in Florida. Can't believe Evan Single didn't make that list.
For sure Evan Single Barrel is one of my favs.
Evan gets a bad rap but single barrel Evan is like $15 a 5th and it ain't bad
$26 here in So Cal at Total Wine. One of my fav budget bourbons
Total wine and ABC both have EW Single for ~$24. Same for Buffalo Trace.
Also can't believe LARCENY hasn't been mentioned...it's under $30 here in Missouri and in my blind tastings it always does extremely well. I highly recommend it to the Tribe!
I bought the Buffalo Trace and I agree. A split in the middle balance kind of flavor that I love. Thanks for helping me find my first bourbons. I’m about to start collecting.
BT on my palate is a candle waxy Vanille thing going on. The finish is where it shines for me.
Recently start collecting different Whiskeys (mainly bourbons). I'll be watching more of your videos for sure!
"Like a.. wheat bread"
"I think you're having a stroke"
In Germany you can get Maker's Mark for 26€ if you look in the right places - in Dollars that would be exactly 30 Bucks.
$25-30 here in Maine
Plenty of german online retailers have Maker’s for under 25€
21,99€ roughly $25
Spent a couple months looking for something from the Buffalo Trace distillery, finally picked up Eagle Rare 10 last week and I’m very happy
I love the analogies with other foods!
Great episode! Have you guys ever done a "best way to cleanse your pallet during a whiskey flight" episode?
Jonathan Moore I also support a “best palate cleansers,” maybe for the next quarterly challenge?
Great idea!
Cream Soda then water
This is a good list....but I would remove some of the ones that really don't fit the price and add Evan Williams White, Evan Williams Single Barrel and Old Forester Signature. Those 3 are true budget bourbons.
I had the same thoughts on Old Forester
I would add Benchmark to that list
Yup, yup, and oh yup.

Primarily a mixer. Try it in an old Old Fashioned. Tastes great.
So far, my favorite bourbon is Bullit. But I guess I should choose Buffalo Trace next time I buy one.
Although after hearing your descriptions and reviews, I really want to try Elijah Craig. It seems to be to my kind of tastes. But they don't have it here in Sweden unfortunately.
Great video and content guys. It would be awesome if you could highlight the "wheated bourbons" - specifically Makers Mark 46 which is by far my favorite bottle for the $$$. Keep up the fight!
Aaaaand apparently this already exists. I still stand by my compliments but retract my request. Carry on
Where is Michter's American below $30? Because I'm moving there.
KY, although more like $35
Here in PA it's $40. Definitely a new favorite of mine (thank you Tribe) however, I still don't really think it's budget since it's hard to find and a bit pricey, for me at least.
More like $35 is not under $30. Haha I wanna know where four roses small batch is under $30 too. Most of these aren't even budget...
Only one I have to disagree with is michters, but not because of the craft but scarcity and price. The vast majority of the country won't find this just sitting on the shelf and certainly not commonly under 35-45 bucks or more. I love the stuff, but easy budget it is not.
@@meesternibbles
Budget Bourbon for my friends is typically $15 to $25 which cuts out most of the list.
Very surprised at the lack of any Evan Williams. For the money they're generally exceptional value.
Definitely. Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is one of my favorite bourbons at any price.
They are....but remember the Henry McKenna uses a very close mash bill, and generally speaking that 10 year single barrel Henry McKenna to me is the better version of the Evan WIlliams Single.
Really surprised Eagle Rare is on this list and EW isn’t. The BiB White Label is better than Buffalo Trace IMO.
These aren't budget. When I think budget I think sub $20. Evan William's 1783 and four Rose's yellow are my go to under $20
I love Evan Williams! Totally agree. Oh and I thought Evan Williams was actually the 1st Bourbon maker in Kentucky
Eagle rare is my favorite old fashioned whisky. It’s great by itself as well.
This is the third video of y’all’s I have watched. Didn’t know you guys were here in Austin! Subscribed
I like just about everything on this list except Bulleit. I like Bulliet Rye but I don't like Bulliet Bourbon. My replacement for Bulliet for an everyday budget bourbon would be Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage. Even though I live way out in B.F.E.it's easily available and runs between $25 and $30 a bottle, which is what I look for in a budget bourbon.
Dude, Bulleit Rye is so good, that they had to throw their Bourbon on the list, to include their legitimacy. Good call on that Bulleit Rye
I love tin cup. Tin cup calls it a whiskey but its technically a bourbon. It's got a very friendly flavor profile and tastes of maple sugar and spiced vanilla. I'm a huge fan of sweet bourbons
doesn't make the budget category here
It does in Az. High rye american whiskey.
About 25.00 or so
Thank you whiskey vault because i took your suggestion about the Woodford reserve and it was the best desitione that i took in a long time
Sippin on Buffalo Trace while watching this 🥃 didn't expect it to be number 1
The entire time I was thinking, "Where is Buffalo Trace, where is buffalo Trace?"
Not a huge bourbon fan, despite that, Wild Turkey 101 remains a favorite of mine due to good memories with friends! Great video guys!
1792 Small Batch is one of my favorites for on the cheap side. I’m no bourbon connoisseur, but it’s delicious to me with be sweeting yet the right mix of spice. Unfortunately it’s been getting closer to the $30 mark, when you used to be able to get it for $25 easy. Great video fellas!
@Jonny two times YIKES! Lol
I've recently picked up a David Nicholson Reserve, so i was wondering how you guys at Whiskey Vault felt about that bottle. It was pretty affordable here in Norway, and i found it quite nice, so a teeny bit surprised to not find it on this list. Probably means i'm the wierd one here, but i can live with that.
I love both however, I'd have Eagle Rare as number 1 and Buffalo Trace in 2nd.
Jacob yup! Agreed 100%. Love my Eagle rare
I'm spoiled by my $70/750ml Nelson's Green Brier 108 Single Barrel that I got at the distillery tour. It's 124 proof cask strength, but it's so ridiculously smooth, you'd never know. You can't buy it in stores, but you can buy Belle Meade, which is also from the same distillery and absolutely delicious for only $40/750ml.
Sipping the same right now. Incredible story and tour, just HAD to buy a couple bottles!
Nelson's Greenbrierd trucker hat I'd the best hat I've ever owned.
Just tried buffalo Trace last night. Really nice and I am usually a bullit person. Would love to see you try copeland Jones navy strength. It is aged in bourbon and then sherry casks. Really really good for a gin and quite round even at 52%.
That Elijah Craig is my go-to. Bought a bottle last week for $26.
This is so interesting because, my first bourbon that ive grown to LOVE has been bulleit bourbon! And for me i taste sweetness(more and more as i revisit it), popcorn, hint of butterscotch, and hint of caramel. Ive never picked up mint before! Im excited to try more bourbons to broaden my palate! (Rip my wallet)
Henry McKenna won some big awards, that's why the price went up
Exactly. It took 1st place and stores couldn't keep it in stock.
I picked it up for the first time about 2 years ago for $35. Its a solid bourbon, so I returned a month or two later for a 2nd bottle... and it was $65. Its good, but not $65 good.
Eagle Rare is superb. Buffalo Trace is definitely my top budget pick though. I wish ER was easier to find in the wild, but the secondary market for it so strong that it’s less and less a budget option. My favorite flavor, but due to the difficulty finding it, Buffalo takes the win.
How drunk are you when you mix up yesterday and last week? 😁.
Love the channel!
