I have the exact tv KDL-46z4100 Just a word to the wise... Its an amazing TV. truly stunning! I have run into one problem. IF you decide to go with Dishnetwork and their HD DVR. model VIP722K there is a compatibility problem. The remote doesnt work right. Its seems to work intermittently. Dishnetwork says they are working with sony to fix this problem. Has anyone else seen this problem?
Hi, I have this model of Sony TV since almost 4 years, and it has been work excellent, until last month, the colors look to much saturated, and the blacks are excessive, in consequence the contrast is low, I made changes on the settings but it still look bad, I use the CNETt settings recommendations, the curios thing ins when I watch the pics examples, it look excellent. Have you been experiencing this issue?
I only recommend a sharp ot a sony for the top best darks and image quality. If you are fancy about that. I have this TV , same as this guy on the video, and after 4 years and a half, It works like a new and Im always on it.
I was in Korea during the time, my US spec PS3 died on me so I went and bought a Asian PS3, they come in silver, white and black. X and O reversed for menu functions, and can't play US DVDs, other than that they are the same.
My 4zZ4100 T-con board is out. The TV is showing reverse colors. Only 6 years old. Sony doesn't supply part anymore. Anyone else having this problem? Looks like this may be a throw away TV. Be warned!

@firstjedi TV is pretty good for an LCD, and yes the dark blacks are not bad either. I would recommend it, yes, not a bad 1080p LCD TV.
There is a slight delay yes.

Um, I like both. If your planning to play from way off angle, then go with Plasma, otherwise you really can't go wrong with either IMO.
@TheGameElite LCD is better in 32" above the 40" i should go for plasma

I forgot to mention, that I changed the HDMI cables, and it still presenting the issue.
Not sure, I sold the TV awhile ago.

Check Ebay. It wroth a shot or Craigslist. Like I did yesterday & got the whole TV for $120. BTW no not a part one. It working great,
biged1977 I found a company here in the Dallas area that changed out the chip on the T-con for $85. Working great!
