Today I’m going to install the ornitopter tail, assemble and set up an arduino remote control for my robo-bird in XOD and I’m finally going to send this beauty airborne. But I know you can’t wait to see how it performs in action. So, first, I’ll show you how I launched it.

Finally. This is what I was born for. Thank you for showing me the way.
Hi, great result.
A birds tail also helps move its center of gravity, because the tail is not just feathers, but in some part the body of the bird.
Thx Tom. You are absolutely right!
only a creator can feel that proud when it flies for the first time xD
Great video! What was the thing you changed to make it fly for the final flight compared to the earlier flights?
I really hope this channel blows up! The production quality is so good!
Brother wonderful content .this channel needs to grow and get more than million subscribers.
Perseverance shines the light
Hi, do you have a way to download and analyze the flight data somehow? Like a accelerations and angular rates speed altitude etc?
Great video why didn't you just increase the speed of the flapping if it is about the weight? Cheers
2 problem. first, pitch angle that you throw the plane out is very important, keep the pitch angle from too big, otherwise it tends to move up and down then stall.second the tail volume of this plane is not enough,so the horizontal stability is not good.we also fail many times to get these tips.
Hello sir I also work on that project but I faced one problem is that how bird takes turn or left & right or up down.
Please help me in this problem
I don't know which i use for the direction.
You need to have a built in elevator up angel in the tail mount so you don't have to use elevator up every time you make a turn ... and trim the Elevator servo to have around 15 degree at launch and maybe less during level flight ... The design is typically based on Sean Kinkade ornithoptes ... good luck
What changes you did to make it fly????
when it flies...
fucking awesome.
7:14 you have the terms roll and pitch reversed....... great project though!! this reminds me of my Kincade Slow Hawk ornithopter
The roll and pitch is backwards 7:14
looks like your issue in the beginning was a CG issue. you were flying tail heavy, pun intended ;)
how to controlled the tail
What is the flight controller board name?
que proyecto tan bonito! felicitaciones
Hope you help me as soon as you can.
I made it
🤣🤣👍👍😅
