Ok now I’m in trouble, I made your concha recipe for my family. Now they told me if I want to come over to visit, I have to bring a tray of concha’s. Seriously 100% perfection trust me, thank you for sharing your recipes with the RUclips world ❤
If you don't like using artificial color an you want a strong strawberry flavor in the topping, you can blitz freeze-dried strawberries in the food processor or spice grinder and use that in the topping! It's not quite as strong of a pink, but it's a great flavor, and natural color.
Stephanie I want to say "Thank you" so much for these Mexican sweet bread recipes. My dad was a Mexican "panadero". COVID took him on dec 15 2020. These recipes bring so much loving memories of him I know its not his bread but as I make it and my house smells like my favorite childhood memories of watching him make this it makes me smile and I feel him close.
Oo I can’t wait to try and make these! I’m married into a Mexican family and I’ve been told there’s no way I’d be able to make good ones, so I’m up for the challenge 😅
Girl how did you know I was making conchas and needed a new recipe! I've used your recipe ever since you posted it like 3 years ago and everyone loves them every single time.
HI! i am a silent viewer from NY, and decided to break my silence today! I have been watching you ladies for over a year now, and I want to thank you for all the amazing recipes! My son's favorite cuisine is Mexican food, and I love that I have been able to expand my repertoire. I also love the loving and positive vibe you ladies put out there! Wishing you much success, happiness and health!
What a beautiful night. Thank you for your kind words and patience as I find a new normal 😊 aside from creator, my boys, and family. Cooking and being here with you is what makes me the happiest woman. I’m so proud you’ve embraced our style of Mexican food and made it part of your home. Keep cooking amiga. ❤️ Steph
I just tried the 8 concha recipe and I loved it !! Your instructions were super clear it made this 10x easier!! My concha’s turned out so well I could cry 🥹 I did have trouble along the way because I had to add more flour to the dough and the topping but other than that, smooth baking!!
The 8 concha measurements aren’t correct. It should be: 3 ¼ c. all-purpose flour ¾ c. sugar ¾ c. lukewarm milk 2 eggs, room temperature ¼ c. butter (salted) 1 Tbsp. Crisco shortening 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract ½ Tbsp. baking powder 2 Tbsp. active dry yeast ½ tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. cinnamon + extra flour, for dusting
Steph , you outdid yourself amiga , these are incredible. I'm a silent viewer who often recreates your recipes, all have been amazing. Thank you ladies for the delicious recipes , I so wish we could be comadres in the real world! much love and blessings 🥰
Gracias corazón 😊 happy to hear these worked out for you. When you feel like making some again, try the chococonchas dipped concha’s. It’s quite a treat ruclips.net/video/mlyk-1sk5MU/видео.html
I so sincerely appreciate all the tips you & Cloud give us when teaching us your awesome recipes Steph! (Like with the bubbles) this helps so much! I can't tell you the number of times I've watched a recipe and thought, "I've got this!" Only to start making it and realize I don't understand something about the recipe. So I can't thank you enough for the tips and advice. These conchas look great & I'm ready! Gracias amiga! Besos 😘 from San Antonio, Texas!
Hola amiga! Muchas gracias, our goal is to be of service and teach step by step. We don’t like to see food go to waste or have our hard working mamas get frustrated. We are just a message away if you need us. Thank you for the besitos and kindness you show us. Muchos besos y abrazos 🤗💕🫶🏼
I just discovered your channel and love it. My mom passed last year and I so miss her cooking and our ability to talk about food for hours. One of my favorites were Stuffed Sopapillas, I am not sure if I have seen them on this channel yet. I don't have enough confidence to make them myself, but one of these days I will, soon. I also live in Denver and the parents lived on the Western Slope, so visiting wasn't easy during the winter months. Thank you for the videos and best of everything.
You were great at making this video!! You were funny, but kept it moving. You didn't drag it out or leave anything out and still added you tips & suggestions! Can't wait to make them! I'll hit you back on how I did. Thank you for sharing!!
Oh my goodness!!! Thank u for showing me!!!! It's so hard to find a Mexican bakery where I live. Or even to find a Mexican store! Thank u again. Looks sooooo delicious
I made them. We loved them❤ The only problem is that we don't like the ones from the panaderías anymore!!! These are perfect! The cinnamon is 🔥 . Thank you!!!❤
Thank you. I had watched Rachel cooks with love and she made the bread said we needed to put on the fondant but forgot to tell us how to make it. I said I need to watch someone else now and wow, there you go. You answered all my questions and concerns. I knew you would stear me on the right track. Thank you.
I love you! I made them they came out amazing! Now I feel like my grandma she used to make these but past when I was young and never got to meet her but I know she would be so proud
Just wanted to thank you for making this very simple. My daughters in-laws are going to be coming to town and I really want to impress them and do something really nice for them.
Thank you for another conchas recipe! The flecks of cinnamon are beautiful. I’ve followed your recipes on average about 3x per week for years now, so I’m no stranger to them. I have even made other conchas recipes of yours, always with great results. For this recipe, I followed it to a “t” and ended up with cake batter. I had to add another 3 cups more of flour plus a pinch of salt to get a dough that could hold a shape. I’m wondering if you live in the mountains and the elevation is the culprit? I’m in South Texas for reference. Anyway once I made those changes, I got beautiful conchas. My friend who I made them for tried one fresh out of the oven and she said it was “the best thing I ever ate.” Thank you again!
Oh so glad for this vid! I’ve enjoyed conchas my entire life, and you make it look so easy to make. I guess if I can make stollen, then these lil beauties shouldn’t be too tough. Gracias!
These look like a work of art. Something about the cold season that makes the baker come out lol I will definitely be making these with the kiddos. Thanks Ladies!
Excellent Cloud and Stephanie! I wish you all nothing but continued success...love, love these Pan Dulce Recipes. So easy to follow and makes me want to make so many of your recipes. I really appreciate the time you both have invested in Excellence with Recipe creations and video presentation. Thank you, Thank you so much for your love of cooking (Stephanie) and sharing these delicious recipes with us (Cloud videographer and avid supporter). Continued Blessings flowing your way!!!
I love conchas so much they’ve always been such a mystery to me. Thank you for demystifying it with your great recipe!! I hope I can make some one day!!
This is the third concha recipe I’ve tried and I gotta say these were for surely the best. But I did have to add a lot more sugar and flour to my topping to make it solid
If you followed the 8 concha recipe, it’s incorrect. It should be: 3 ¼ c. flour ¾ c. sugar ¾ c. warm milk 2 eggs, room temp. ¼ c. butter (salted) 1 Tbsp. Crisco 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract ½ Tbsp. baking powder 2 Tbsp. active dry yeast ½ tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. cinnamon + extra flour, for dusting
Going to make some with atole on Christmas Eve for my husband and I. 😊 We moved to Hawaii away from family because of the military so I miss the traditional treats. So I’ve been teaching myself to make a ton of different ones.
Thank you so so much for the detailed reel of my favorite pan dulce. Now I am encouraged to try it my self. I love the Concha cake, my brother and grandkids will flip! Thank you so much.
This Mexican bakery used to make the best nino envueltos the white ones with Bavarian cream. Can you makes those pretty please . Love you lots and I hope you are staying strong with what's going on . 🖤🖤
I just double your old recipe and they come out so good! For the topping I do use half butter and half leaf lard and the toppings come out so good (with all butter they are too hard).
💯%looking delicious 😋😋 That's the pastry bread I always get at the Mexican store ,n it's my favorite sweet bread I swear I love the way you make them and I just learned something new ! I'm going to try to make that for my children n thanks again so much for sharing stay AWESOME! 👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯❤️

I’ve missed you girls! Ay chicas what’s up! Been havin some health issues but in the mend I just moved and the weather is getting chilly. My Mijo asked me hey Mama how bout some concha’s y cafecito ? My husband was life there’s a panadería a few blocks away. But my son says there good but not the same as homemade. So you know Mamas has to unpack her mixer and make some. I love that you keep it old school and use a knife to cut the pattern up top 8 do the same concha’s y cafecito oh yea it on!!!!

Thank you for another conchas recipe! The flecks of cinnamon are beautiful.

I love your channel!!! Thank you for sharing your love for food with us! I pray blessing over you, cloud and your babies❤️
My mama loves conchas and has been asking me to learn to make some for her so I’m definitely gonna give this a try!
This is the third concha recipe I’ve tried and I gotta say these were for surely the best. But I did have to add a lot more sugar and flour to my topping to make it solid
If you followed the 8 concha recipe, it’s incorrect. It should be:
3 ¼ c. flour
¾ c. sugar
¾ c. warm milk
2 eggs, room temp.
¼ c. butter (salted)
1 Tbsp. Crisco
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
½ Tbsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
½ tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
+ extra flour, for dusting
Same I had to add lots more flour
How much sugar and flour would you recommend?
@laurmaybe thats why mine seems to need m9re flour. I know it has something ro do with humidity for the flour and liquid ratio. abarbour4434
Going to make some with atole on Christmas Eve for my husband and I. 😊 We moved to Hawaii away from family because of the military so I miss the traditional treats. So I’ve been teaching myself to make a ton of different ones.
