For the topping I do use normal sugar and I personally like it more than a commercial concha because it gives it kind of a soft, crispy/crunchy taste. Your son is so adorable. Thank you for this recipe.
I would love to see you making “Empanadas” - salty and sweet too!
We have empanadas the whole year, but they are very traditional during Lent and Easter time
Isn't it funny that I'm Mexican and although I love baking and I have made so many different bakery recipes, I never have made Conchas?
But anyway, you have my approval as a Mexican 🇲🇽 well done John!
My Mexican husband loved these! Thanks for the recipe!
I miss the panadería by my house, I might have to try these.
I’ve been trying to make bread for awhile now but it comes out too stiff or too airy, theses came out amazingly. SSSOOOOOO soft and fluffy. I’ll be making it again tomorrow but with a bit more sugar and vanilla to make it sweeter. I’m going to try them in chocolate and lemon, tried cinnamon and it was SOOO good!
I never found a recipe for these but I love them so now I'm try to make some homemade
Your little boy is so adorable! Awesome Dad John.❤
Wow, I’ve tried so many concha recipes and this is by far my favorite. I made these as soon as this video came out and I’m beyond glad I did. These conchas were so fluffy and so yummy. Thank you for your detailed instructions and great tips John! These were the best conchas I’ve ever made! 💛💛💛💛
Hi what salt did you use?
@@jacquelinerojas7399 i made these and used course kosher salt! Normal kosher would also work though :)
My dad is from Oaxaca he loves the pan dulces we get from a local market but Ill make these for Fathers Day I hope he likes them!
When I finish my homework I'm doing them because we always need to go buy it at the store and the best part is that I have all the ingredients
Ah!! This recipe was gorgeous like his others ofc, and his son is so cuteee!!!
