Can confirm they're definately great boots for the average drug dealer, since I bought my timberlands I've gotten an extra 27 points in street cred, and can stay out in the cold longer, I used sell 3.5oz of coke per night now I'm getting 5 ounces. They're definately worth the investment for the local street pharmacist. The only downside is that they're a bit harder to drive in when you're doing drive by shootings.

I've had the same pair of these for almost 30 years on the original sole. I wore them to work most days for a number of years, and they've taken me all over the world. I've never done anything to maintain them other than rinse or brush off mud and dirt. They have never failed me. The lower part of the outsole finally started to come unglued recently, but that was easily fixed. Best pair of boots I've ever had.

I've just ordered my first pair of Timberland premiums and can't wait to get them on, I just hope buying half a size less than my usual size is the right fit!
Hi, I know your comment is from a couple of years ago, but how did you get on with going half a size smaller? My son usually wears a UK size 9 but I think he needs a 8.5. They did look big in him when he tried them on. I hope your boots were a great fit for you 😉
Just got my first ever pair and they are extre.ely comfortable. I normally wear a 10.5 in all my shoes, but felt that the timberlands were just a tad on the large size for my feet. Tried on the 10, fits like a glove absolutely amazing. Will be my daily wear from now on!
Enzo Ferrari ya some Versace shoes some designer shit you no he was at his album release party dressed like a don when he got shot up i doubt he would be wearing Timbs but who no you can look it up they have pics of his party
Nice review Nick. For the price point, I agree that these boots are a good value. Not that much more money than a pair of ‘throw aways’. Another fine production! Thanks.
These are worth the money, even better value when people sell them lightly used under half price. Comfy and well built boots. I love that you can just put them on and walk without the need to lace them but i lace them like a normal person
Just saw the video now, last year I bought two red 6 inch Timbs very cheap here in Brazil, Timberland has left our country and there was a sale. You will not believe how much each cost, something like 40 us dollars, just because they were red, original. Made in the Dominican Republic and I checked the serial number. Painted one pair black and something incredible happened, a lot of people stop me on the streets praising just the red pair, they are really cool. Although the yellow boot would never cost less, so I could never buy them, but red is not a common color in Brazil so I was lucky.
Just wanted to say I just recently got my second pair of timberlands, and I got the heritage boots. They come in a few colors of full grain leather which is just easier to care for. My old tims are the basics, in a gray nubuck. I didnt want the wheat nubuck cuz I figured it has to be hard to keep clean, lol. But the basics aren't terrible if you add a decent insole.
Got pair a pair few days ago. They are hard rock solid good looking boots. It's not everyone cup of tea, They are hard, not so flexible boots. You have plenty of other boots way more flexible and comfy.. Still none comes close to their style, quality material and linings and stylish. I have other pairs including the updated Radford from Timberland too way lighter. Still when you were these, they are incredible. You have to break them in first, but the insoles are great and they eventually get softer and easier to your feet. These are the type of boots , that you get the feeling you're wearing a classic never runs out of trend, and will always look great, being casual, or not so casual you name it Winter proof ready too, waterproof for those rainy days or even snow due to prima loft inline . So choosing these boots you already know what you're looking for, and you want long last pair of boots. For those who haven't tried or are re using them like me give it a try. They have improved, the insole anti fatigue is comfortable for long wearing periods. A classic that never runs out of fashion..
I bought a pair of MOC toes similiar to these. After a year, I realized I hated nubuck leather. So, I cleaned the boots with Fiebing's saddle soap and massaged mink oil into the leather. I repeated the oiling process three times. Once every two or three months I reapply a light amount mink oil. Now, the boots look awesome.
I got mine for $125!! They were cheaper at Journey’s and I got a $70 gift card so that dropped the out of pocket price for me significantly. 3 years later, I flatiron brought these bad boys up from $170 or so.
8:22 Except for snow, kinda, I went to the snow with these and the grip fails if the snow is just hard and wet, got a lot of slips, but it may also be due to snow going in between the gaps in the boots so that the grip is a flat surface and so there was no real grip.
I actually picked up a nice pair of Timberland's limited edition "Winter Extreme Super Boots" the other day in Marshalls for $100. Full-Grain leather with Vibram soles; not a bad deal.
You hit a lot of key points that I think were overlooked on rose anvils video. I love my timbs. I got them for $140 at saks off 5th and have been wearing them instead of sneakers for over a year. You have to make sure you get the ones made in the Dominican Republic rather than Bangladesh. I have a handful of more expensive quality heritage boots but I still like wearing my Timbs. The leather is so soft they feel like slippers. I don’t even lace them. I just tie a knot at the end of the lace to keep them from dragging on the floor. I love the fact that they are waterproof. They are definitely a great all around lifestyle boot. If you are looking for a construction boot I would look into timberland pro.
I’ll second the fact they are hard to keep clean. Salt and grit stain them really easily. They don’t look new for very long but after that they last for ages.
I see a lot of men wear these with slimmer jeans, they just end up stacking them on top of the boots. As far as pricing, these boots are so common that they are pretty easy to find on sale and for around $80 to $100 for a waterproof boot isn’t too bad at all. Also I know these boots get a rap, but now a days these can be worn by anyone and everyone. Tons of people from all walks of life wear them as they are overall solid boots. I know their past rep always comes up however that shouldn’t deter anyone from wearing them.
8BitGamer4life i actually worked for 5 years in a manufacturing facility and wore them every day for a few years before upgrading to redwings. I don’t care how other men wear them as you would note from reading my comment. All I mentioned is ways I have seen these worn and how their wearability far exceeds their previous rep
I bought a pair of so called waterproof Timberland boots. The shorter version with 3 lace holes called chucka boots and they leak like a siv despite have waterproof written on them!
9:10 Honestly, I just wear them and thats it. I don't try to actively keep them clean, of course I would wash them if there was mud etc, but not full on spotless. I guess for me its just memories and adventures I've had.

Good review! I love watching your reviews. If its not too much trouble, would or could you make a review for Blundstone boots (the 500's if possible) I've been searching RUclips for a proper review on Blundstone boots (for quality and more importantly- sizing) but no one has made one so far?
What is the best waterproofer (if you wanted to enhance) to use on the wheat color if you don't want it to be permanently darkened? I hear Huberd's Shoe Grease is excellent but will darken these too much is that true? My first Timberlands were from the 1975/76 timeframe and lasted me about 25 yrs and I was a backpacker. Those were the best boots/shoes I ever owned.
Get the Timberland kit that has the brush and gum eraser. Also, Lincoln Suede and leather cleaner does a really good job keeping them supple if you use it once a year and work it in with a toothbrush. The Balm Proof protector doesnt really do much other than turn them orange.
@@Stridewise No problem, I have a 7 year old pair of Timberland Classic Yellow boots that I found at Ross for $80 and they still look almost new despite wearing every day in the fall and Winter. Its interesting, the boots are actually Goodyear Welted and are the only pair I have found that are. I had to contact Timberland to make sure they were real.
Yes I had the plastic soled Timberland basics and they are very light. Then I buy the Premiums and they feel a lot heavier. It's the sole. Better quality. = more weight
Can you do a Lucchese boot review? I would like to know if you find the value to be there ? It’s a Texas brand and I’m curious if it lives up to the expectations
The timberland pros are almost better to me than the premiums. I have both. Leather liner in premiums wore a hole in about 6 months and I wear socks, its just very thin leather liner. I've had to duct tape the inside of my premium in the heel area. And the cardboard attached steel shank could totally be peeled right off after it's been wet on the inside for awhile. Pro's have the same waterproof effect but also have injected foam in the midsole. Its lighter and comfier in my opinion. Blessings
Now that your reviewing cheaper boots, mind doing reviews on the ultra cheap (sub $100) like Eastland, Clarks, etc? Might be fun and it could be an exercise in educating people on what to look out for, what to avoid, etc. Plus you may find a diamond in the rough.
I have better boots but I went out and got a black pair on sale . I live in Toronto. I really like them . I wear mine with jeans and they look great ( I tie them up like regular boots ). If it is raining I wear these . I just use a horse hair brushe on them when i get home . The nubuck is good leather for the money . Thanks for the info on that . Most people don't understand the difference . I wear these in light snow too . Oh and yes they do run big . I went a full size down .
Check out/Review the Timberland Boot Company Blake Winter 8" in Bordeaux model number 4033R, featuring Horween Chromexel leather, a 270° Goodyear welt and corded waxed laces. I think this boot will be more in line with the types you normally review with a bit of a twist and a great value considering the price vs materials and construction.
Those are super nice...and SOLD OUT. Limited Edition. Not a huge fan of the burgandy color. If they came in wheat or black I will be first in lline to buy them.
Pro tip : if you get a pair of timbs, you might want to buy a personal insole. The stock insole can be a little rough on your feet, at least they were for me. After you have an aftermarket sole ,they’re super comfy
Love these boots only problem with em nowadays is the fact I cant tie em off at the tipy top of the shoe gotta go down 2 eye holes other than that they are amazing
I have suede or is it nuebuck? timberlands clean!, its painfull i mean to clean, ? I have total 3 different tims, i wear for winter, artic summer n summer
My store only sell wide option So for example if i want to down a full size,i probably should go another 1/2 size down again because its the wide option compared to normal version, right?
So i have some issues with the sizing. My foot is 27,5 cm long and I’m deciding between the 28 and 28,5 cm in length. The larger one is obviously more roomy and the smaller one a little tighter so that it almost touches the toe in the front. I’m afraid that if I get the larger one there will be more heel slippage than is ok. Have you got any good advice? Ps. I read your boot fitting guide on the internet. Good job!
Just bought a pair of the Chocolate Brown from the Timberland Outlet in my state, but the soft brown squishy upper portion is bifracated and it makes me wonder if there are two versions of this boot, one with lesser quality than the Premium Waterproof you have in your video?
Can anyone suggest how long these boots stay looking nice? ie. before they develop the bend/angle/creases in the middle of them & the toe end goes flat?
Didn’t realize those were so popular with rappers although some of those clips seemed like they were from the 90’s. I’ve always associated those with construction workers.
Tried these on in the store once and I felt they fit pretty snug. I put on a size small like people recommend and my foot was being crushed. For me at least they fit my true size or higher if I want to be able to flex my toes. Think it mostly comes down to how the toebox slopes in at the sides to try and be dressier.
@@geert574 I know my sizes. Measured them myself a decent few years back. I had to considerably size up from even what I would have considered a larger size for my feet. I prefer a pretty roomy toe box since I walk around for extended periods each day so my feet swell, along with the thicker socks I generally wear in winter. Timberland 6-inch boots are just a tight fit for my feet really.
Yeah, I've noticed they've cut the quality drastically. Too narrow, backs are harder, cramped. Laces too short. Not what they were 6 yrs ago. They should accept niche market, it's not Nike or Adidas. I'd pay more but it's up to Timberland... I've noticed their sales are failing, their fault. Idiots.
@@ivorbacon3825 Fully agree on the laces part. Not only that, but by now I'm already thinking of having to go get a new pair as they've frayed completely around where I cinch them in and tie the knot off. They've maybe got a few months left in them before I think they'll snap. I've just ordered a better pair of boots anyway so I don't mind too much but I can't help but feel pretty defeated when something I bought only 7-9 months ago has already started to break on me. EDIT: Was also looking at their Earthkeeper 6" boot but apparently the quality on those has taken a nosedive in the last few years as well with the pull tab coming off and the stitching coming undone. I think I know what's happening to Timberland and I sure as hell don't like it.
You have an unusual accent, its almost Australian, Aussie accent. Are you American and lived in AUS for some period or a fellow Aussie that has lived in the US for some period of time? Anyhow, great review 😎

I hear Huberd's Shoe Grease is excellent but will darken these too much is that true? My first Timberlands were from the 1975/76 timeframe and lasted me about 25 yrs and I was a backpacker. Those were the best boots/shoes I ever owned.
Huberds will darken them a lot. These boots are already waterproof though you don't need to add anything else?
@@Stridewise Thanks!
The guys at Trenton & Heath say you should waterproof them frequently, they recommend the Saphir product.
I think that was more for color and staining than water intrusion though?
Kiwi Select all protector spray for shoes, sneakers etc. prevents stains and waterproofs . no stains.
Get the Timberland kit that has the brush and gum eraser. Also, Lincoln Suede and leather cleaner does a really good job keeping them supple if you use it once a year and work it in with a toothbrush. The Balm Proof protector doesnt really do much other than turn them orange.
great tips!
Weird! How are the soles holding up after 7 years, gonna get them resoled?
@@Stridewise I will get them done eventually but the soles still have plenty of life left in them, probably for another few years at least.
The weight mainly comes from the rubber outsole, not from the insulation.
Yes I had the plastic soled Timberland basics and they are very light. Then I buy the Premiums and they feel a lot heavier. It's the sole. Better quality. = more weight
A New Yorker's must have!
I'm 41, I've been rocking these since I was 16yrs old.
Finally you made it, thanks
Well Described and you know what you are talking !! Enjoyed watching you presentation
Glad you liked it Sholes
I used to wear them, in Italy 30 years ago! Also was a trend then
Can you do a Lucchese boot review? I would like to know if you find the value to be there ? It’s a Texas brand and I’m curious if it lives up to the expectations
Specifically the Grayson Chelsea or the Huck
They run very big. I usualy wear a 12 and with these im a 10.5, nice review.
Yeah they are larrrge
Hi, is the boots heavy? is the sole soft? I am thinking about choosing between this 6 INCH PREMIUM or COURMA GUY BOOT FOR MEN.
Blessings
Awesome video.
Tim's all day. Also if you can do new republic men review and thrusday boots.
How do they compare with Catapillar Colorado boots?
Colorado is 10000 times more comfortable and cheaper too
These are the first boots that I've noticed have an effect on your gait. Did walking feel much different? How's your back?
Yeah I mean they're just very *big*, like voluminous, and the sole is chunkier than any other I've tried.
why you didnt showing insole inside parts? inside tag authentical brand tag?
Its easier to clean if you spray with timberland balm proofer before you start to wear.
Now that your reviewing cheaper boots, mind doing reviews on the ultra cheap (sub $100) like Eastland, Clarks, etc? Might be fun and it could be an exercise in educating people on what to look out for, what to avoid, etc. Plus you may find a diamond in the rough.
I made this one if it helps! ruclips.net/video/bLLho-1ISy8/видео.html
Im from Hamilton! Ive been wanting a blue pair of Timbs for years now i need to get a pair.
Do your boots say W or M on the box (next to the size)? I only saw W in Europe, but heard both are available in us. Awesome video!
Just got my 1st pair of Timbs Heritage Premium in life. 😊
If they came in wheat or black I will be first in lline to buy them.
do you know all the colour combinations have a steel shank?
4:01 Lol, people clean their Timbs?
I just walk in the rain with them.
I was thinking the same thing lol
How in the hell are the laces long on his
can you go hiking in these boots or do they have no support
🍑🍆
This shoe wasnt really meant for construction i mean look at it ..its beautiful
Here in Greece they cost €230, which I think makes them overpriced. I own them though and I am pretty satisfied so far !
Yikes, that is expensive. Glad you're happy with them though.
Pro tip : if you get a pair of timbs, you might want to buy a personal insole. The stock insole can be a little rough on your feet, at least they were for me. After you have an aftermarket sole ,they’re super comfy
Aurelius they do lol but insoles feel rough as hell on your socks. At least they did for me. If people complain about one thing it’s the insole
@@avxrevoyou might have the basic ones and not the premium ones he has here
Love these boots only problem with em nowadays is the fact I cant tie em off at the tipy top of the shoe gotta go down 2 eye holes other than that they are amazing
I love me my Timberland Premium boots but man, they really dig into the ankle bone and cause pain.
I have suede or is it nuebuck? timberlands clean!, its painfull i mean to clean, ? I have total 3 different tims, i wear for winter, artic summer n summer
Nubuck! ruclips.net/video/4MtHrAANRt0/видео.html
My store only sell wide option
So for example if i want to down a full size,i probably should go another 1/2 size down again because its the wide option compared to normal version, right?
So i have some issues with the sizing. My foot is 27,5 cm long and I’m deciding between the 28 and 28,5 cm in length. The larger one is obviously more roomy and the smaller one a little tighter so that it almost touches the toe in the front. I’m afraid that if I get the larger one there will be more heel slippage than is ok.
Have you got any good advice? Ps. I read your boot fitting guide on the internet. Good job!
Patrik Petersson I wear 46 European and in timbs I’ve sized down to 45 and they are still roomie(perfect with goof heavy woolen socks)
Timberlands look so great! I bought 260 dollars for this shoe.
I accidentally spilled a bunch of burnt motor oil on my timberlands. Is that bad?
It's not great. Saddle soap might help? But nubuck is harder to clean when it gets stained
Is it safe to go a size higher? How’s the fit?
No, don't go a size higher. You should size down 0.5 to 1 whole size. Roomy fit
What is price in America of this shoes.
Just bought a pair of the Chocolate Brown from the Timberland Outlet in my state, but the soft brown squishy upper portion is bifracated and it makes me wonder if there are two versions of this boot, one with lesser quality than the Premium Waterproof you have in your video?
Yep
Can anyone suggest how long these boots stay looking nice? ie. before they develop the bend/angle/creases in the middle of them & the toe end goes flat?
As a life long new yorker and resident of NYCHA projects, seeing your timberlands laced so tight gave me anxiety.
You can never please everyone with Timberland lacing!
I was looking forward to a waterproof test.
Mine has 12 years old and still looks good lol
Didn’t realize those were so popular with rappers although some of those clips seemed like they were from the 90’s. I’ve always associated those with construction workers.
Yeah all the clips except Drake were from the 90s, when the brand's sales tripled. That effect has endured
Tried these on in the store once and I felt they fit pretty snug. I put on a size small like people recommend and my foot was being crushed. For me at least they fit my true size or higher if I want to be able to flex my toes. Think it mostly comes down to how the toebox slopes in at the sides to try and be dressier.
measure your feet lenght and width, if your width is on the upper spectrum size up a bit
Can you please do a boot care video on timberlands?
That's a great idea! I'll add it to the list.
Hey dude, where are your jeans from? They're selvedge right?
Hey Vince! These are from Studio d'Artisan, unsanforized selvedge. Planning on doing denim videos in the future!
@@Stridewise thanks man, looking forward to them
My shoes size is 9 US. What size should I buy for this?
You'd want to find out your Brannock size before ordering. But it's probably a whole size down from your sneaker size.
You have an unusual accent, its almost Australian, Aussie accent. Are you American and lived in AUS for some period or a fellow Aussie that has lived in the US for some period of time? Anyhow, great review 😎
Aussie who has lived in the US! Before that China, Kenya, a bunch of other places so it's kind of a mangled accent.
Hi Nick, I hope you have Nicks boots to review.
Yep getting some made! Long process but you can look forward to a review.
I tried them on and I didn't like the feel, they felt bulky and heavy. Then I put on the Helly Hansens boots and they felt way more comfortable, so I bought them.
