I have a pair of Timbs that have been with me for 22 years now! They aren’t the traditional wheat, nubuck. They look a lot like red wings, with a smooth dark reddish leather. Great boots!!!

The Mountain City TN factory was an expansion not a relocation. When I joined in 1990, the corporate offices were in Hampton, NH, and manufacturing was done in Bangor Maine, Mountain City, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Of those only the DR location currently remains, with various other countries now involved. ONE LAST THING: The“lynching tree” reference is absolute garbage. Spending nearly 30 years at the corporate offices and having traveled to nearly every TBL manufacturing location I had never heard any reference to this RIDICULOUS supposition nor any negative racial references whatsoever. That’s not who Timberland are.

I've been thinking of actually getting a pair of the Earthkeeper Original 6inch boots. Heard lots of good things from people who bought them about 10 years ago but newer reviews have pointed out that they're falling apart quickly, especially around the pull tab and the cemented connection between the sole and upper. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

They are expensive. But they are worth every penny. I have a pair that’s going on it’s 17th Winter, with only scuff marks by the toes, but still keep my feet warm and dry. For those who are not familiar with Timberlands, go to the store itself, not a place that also carries them because chances are, they will only sell the work boots. Go to the Timberlands store because they carry a more diverse collection. Just my 2 cents.
It's crazy how a Boot made popular in NYC during the early 80's by NYC drug dealers and rappers, are worldwide now. even down to how we wear them, untied and sloppy. 🗽

We needed a boot that was warm & waterproof for long shifts pumping crack in front of the corner bodegas. By 1987, they were literally in every NYC rapper’s music video. Facts. We didn’t start wearing them for fashion reasons, but they definitely were a fashion staple by the late 80’s.

In 2019 I bought a pair of classical Timberland premium waterproof boots from an official dealer, but they were China made. I am sure that quality has changed a lot because I had the same model in the early 80's feeling completely different. Perhaps my feet are a litte bit changed, but I remember that Timberlands were USA made and I used them for a very long time without any problem. Now I dont feel confortable. I live in Italy
