      Any good cobbler will be able to upgrade your shoe better than factory, so it's a no-brainer. And you can customize sole colors, types, etc.

    • @obscurazone
      @obscurazone 2 года назад +12

      @@And-zo8jn I would get quality boots repaired every single time over new replacements. Boots that are worn in fit you like a glove, and have a beautiful patina. New boots/shoes take years to properly break in and become "yours". Plus, why replace them anyway when they can be serviced and last many more years!

    Bought mine about 7 months ago and the newer versions in sole is made from a nice shock absorption material, really comfy ...I just wish they were Goodyear welted so the repair would be much easier but other than that LOVE timberland boots...keep up the great work...oh and I've seen another youtuber do this after shampooing it makes the leather kinda dry and light in colour so to bring the colour and nap back he used mink oil...brought that particular pair back from the dead!..tc

    I had no idea you could restore those kind of boots/shoes that way, I`m now determined not to throw any of mine away ever, from now on, I`m just gonna find a decent cobbler here in Scotland & get them repaired!

    Beautiful job!! They should last another 30 years! I love the machinery in your shop. How old is the stitching machine?

      Obviously they didn't "last" for 30 years. They way they look they've been used for 5 years max and then left in some corner.

      My school's textiles unit had a foot powered singer boot maker one that looked similar but a lot older and my teacher said his grandma had the same one, so this one is probably only 50 or less yrs old.
