I was just thinking the opposite, they haven't done a lot of walking, certainly outdoors. Mine are 15 years old, still going strong and hiked everywhere in them.

I washed my both pairs of UGG -Australia boots in washingmashine and dried in tumbler and later on radiater and they turn out so clean no damages occured. That's I call quality work. Not made in China, Lol.

Wish my brother's Timberlands could be cleaned/refinished. He bought a 'demo' pair from the factory outlet that had a "vintage waxed" finish.
Dirty as hell now but when he asked Timberland, they said can't be done because of the applied finish hence they never released the range.
I love Tim's. I still have my sons

Looks really nice and clean but with all that soap and water didn't make the leather a little bit dry?
Shoe soap is conditioning usually. Also, after color, shoes are usually sprayed with mink oil.
Where did you get the nubuck powder to patch up? Or is that from the sanding residue?
