I have watched them all, but this one with the top down view, the microphone, the puffing, the struggle, the lack of easy bumps available, was so instructive. Learnt so much from this video, thanks so much. It really showed and felt like it really feels (only I would have come off foil multiple times and puffed a lot more). Thanks, yet again.
@@damien130970 great message, thank you! Just being a touch under foiled is all it takes to turn a run from being unremarkable to very remarkable! But for all the wrong reasons 😅 Did you read the description?
Happy Birthday! Well done 🏄♂🌊👏😎! Terrific demonstration of getting the best out of mediocre conditions. Always the most practical teaching points. Thanks, & all the best, take time to rest and put your feet up!
Woop Woop! The only wing I use! (I did recently use my girlfriends 3.8m) and it was pretty relaxing, not too heavy on the back either. Thanks for the great message!
I really really enjoy your videos!!! Love watching your paddle ups and rides DW. Your verbal and written explanation about how and why you go about doing your rides are excellent!! Also telling us about your gear for the at particular DW of the day is great!! I have watched all your vids multiple times and reading the bumps from watching is starting to make sense. Ordered a much bigger front wing to make my paddle ups “easier”. So much to learn but so hooked already! Thanks and keep up the great work 🤙🏽
Thank you for the excellent message! And stoked to here you enjoy them! Thanks for reading the description too 😁 Awesome to hear such an excellent report, I make the vids I wish I had learning. You can for sure learn to read the bumps via the footage! My girlfriend is making gains from watching too. It sounds like you are on the right path. What are you using for foils and boards?
Now that I have watched your vids I hope I can make more sense of the tiny bumps we mostly have. I have been in the Code 1130 with a 175 stab and i have been struggling paddling up in our 7 to 12 knots sea breeze. I tried the 1540 Code and it is definitely the size to have here. I am light but my zero sup and paddle background is making the process of learning challenging. I can paddle up the 1130 in good wind and bumps on Maui but at home it’s another story. I am very determined so no matter what I am going to learn. Thanks again to you and your girlfriend for the great vids.
Thank you! That is our goal, to bring you ocean, you can read from home... It's the footage I wish I had to learn. It really works too, leaning in to watching these vids. My partner is learning from them!
Hey dude, another great video. Do you GPS track your runs at all? Would be interested in seeing data for each of the foils vs conditions. Average speed, minutes per km, etc. Cheers!
@@elbastos3rd very rarely… but I’ll try bring up some data if I can and I’ll try add more in in the future. It was too much work when uploading long uncut vids but now I’m focused on the vids it should be sweet! Thanks for the great comment 🤙🤙
@@EntropyLoser I find it’s a mix of that but trying not to get carried away with micro bumps! It’s about “tap and gap” try not to linger too long on one energy source. Let me know more about your experiences out there🤙🤙

You worked hard for that one.
@@bigtone667 I did… just a touch underfoiled, is all it takes to cause some misery.
@@downwind_drifter I would never have thought about the importance of the stab in making that big a difference. Your thoughts make entire sense.

I’m trying to constantly “twist and turn”, making S curves, trying to match the front face of the bumps. So far with limited success.

@@downwind_drifter sure, it’s almost addictive to experiment with different styles and feel the energy. Very much connected to the sea.
Hi again, i see in many videos that you are using a 0,5 shim. Why you need that or only when the conditions are light?
@@Elninosurfcenter not needed but just used for tinkering!
I’m very dialled in with gear and a shim can help me micro beta things up 😅
