Mark keeps talking about how he’s sorry for being such a noob but honestly it’s so refreshing to see somebody just… play the beginning of minecraft slowly. He’s enjoying the steps that everybody else blows through to get to the “good parts” and i think that’s the whole point of this game. You shouldn’t ever really be doing a task you don’t want to do. If you don’t want to do it, work on something else. There are so many things you can do and it’s so beautiful to see mark enjoy the things not many people do.
I think they are two different merits, and this is one we just see so much more seldomly. I really do like the crazy long and tedious challenge videos or speedruns, but playthroughs like this are so nice to sit back and watch. In some ways it's like two different games. I think playing the game for max modes or challenges, even if they're tedious, still give a lot of people joy. But stuff like this, sitting back and playing and chilling, it's more representative of how we as the audience play the game, and it's so nice to see. It's almost like watching a friend on the couch and chatting with them vs watching a production of hours and hours and compiled, intense game knowledge. Both fun, but different entirely.

Stickman Reaper you think the combat update was good? How about the 1.10 update which added absolutely nothing worth value. The updates post 1.6 and pre 1.13 were shit. The game lost its fame and value around that time because of them. And they definitely didn’t “shape” the game and I don’t the think the game would be “boring” without them. hey mark, the combat system has changed, there is a little sword-like icon next to your cursor which charges up everytime you hit, the more you wait the more damage you do, spam clicking will do little to no damage, i hope you keep the series!

you mean you gotta wait until it fully charges and then you attack wich will cause a swipe attack wich will hit other close entitys and also waiting it to fully charges will cause more damage to the entity

coming back to this bc it’s a comfort let’s play series for me, and i wanna say i totally agree with the stuff mark says about the minecraft music. i don’t find the music scary or sad or anything, it’s always been comforting to me. i may be physically alone in the game, but the music keeps me company.

When you attack with a weapon, you should see under your crosshair a sword icon.
To deal maximum damage each attack, you attack only when the sword icon fills up.

I learned how to play videogames & use WASD ect playing Quake 3 Arena, which was shift run, so when I switched to Minecraft I switched the settings.
Nobody I watch switches the settings when playing Minecraft which is fine but gosh does it annoy me sometimes.
