It always feels nice to know you are not alone, I am 30 now and have been struggling with periods of panic attacks and severe anxiety since about 10. I’m so happy I found your channel and love the content that you bring. I was suprise but at the same time excited to know that your parents are both graphic designers cuz that was one of my majors I graduated with as I did that 2 years ago. I am also a sufferer from emetophobia and have been dealing with it for 15+ years. When you mentioned you have it I literally got chills lol. It’s definitely not something many people speak about, but it is a life altering phobia. And I know how stressful everyday life can be with emetophobia. I just want you to know you are not alone! Hey Sophie! I’m a few days late commenting I’m always here supporting till the end. I command you on bringing up what you have and you’re not alone. I struggle with having a learning disability but it doesn’t define who I am I also have depression and anxiety I take therapy it helps me so much and I’m so happy I have it bc I known I’ve needed it for awhile and now I have it makes me feel good I’m still working on things but nobody is perfect no such thing. I also like coloring too I used to do adult coloring books I have to get back into it bc that’s also therapeutic. It was nice getting to know you more with this video. I have emetaphobia and my anxiety is so bad I really struggle to eat because my stomach is constantly hurting and I’ve lost a lot of weight because of it 😕 it’s comforting to hear you struggle with it too you give me hope ❤️

i literally thought i was the only person with emetophobia and its so much more than people make it sound. i literally never eat out and obsessivly check expiration dates on food because im paranoid about getting food poisoning. and anxiety caused me to harm myself too but i can tell you it is very possible to stop and it took me years but i promise its possible. anxiety doesn't go away easily but the scratching can. thank you for being open to sharing your story. 💗
OH MY GODDDD i cut out a whole chunk of the video about me talking about literally EXACTLY that u just said wtf. i do the SAME THINGS and i am SO paranoid about eating out and even eating at other peoples houses or eating food that other people make. it makes going to social things and even family parties so difficult because i just literally never wanna eat and feel like i’m gonna offend people by refusing food. i check the expiration dates on EVERYTIng before eating and sometimes have to check multiple times. thank u so much for telling me that because it’s so nice to know someone else has dealt with that too 😭💘 i have really been working on the scratching and i do it a lot less now so that’s good. thank you so much 😭
OKAY EATING AT OTHER PEOPLES HOUSE IS THE WORST and yeah before i eat anything i check the date a million times and i drive my mom absolutely insane because even like buying new brands of things terrifies me. and you've got this girl. its hard but possible. sometimes i have to sit on top of my hands but you've got it.
Also, when you talked about the right person, right time thing on relationships, honestly, I can relate to that because I just broke up with a guy I met online back in 2020 and I was with him for 4 months, and for a gap of 3 years, I’ve been single, until I met my boyfriend in school and asked him to be my best friend back in October since I just moved from the Philippines to the US, and he said yes, so we talked, then we went to a Winter Formal in November, and we kissed, and he even told me after that night hat he has feelings for me, and we became a thing early December and we’re going strong now! We spent Valentines together, so what you said about right guy, right time, I really believed in it! 💕

I would love to watch or listen to your podcast about anxiety. I was diagnosed with anxiety panic disorder this year. I am seeing a therapist and taking antidepressants. I have so many symptoms that sometimes it's scary to describe them because I feel like this horrible condition will come back. I've actually had this disorder for a long time, but it hasn't made itself known as vividly as it does now. There are no people in my environment with the same problem. I really want to know how other people live with it. I know I need to accept the fact that I have it somewhere inside me and always have. But I also want to see the other side of things. The biggest symptom that makes me scared is the feeling that there is no reality. You're looking at yourself as if from the outside. And everything seems clear and vivid. It's like you're dreaming. You think you're going crazy. I would love to share this with someone who has actually been through it and would share the experience.
I was born and raised in San Diego and you look like a San Diego girl forsure! I hope you get into grad school and achieve your dream life🫶
