I just put one on my 2010 Roush Supercharged Mustang and LOVE IT. I like the way it feels going though the gears. Starting out is much better, no clucking noise for the driveshaft. Enjoy it more and more.
I Bought the DSS aluminium drive shaft for my 2016 Mustang Auto Gt, Roush Phase 2. I also have the 800 hp DSS half shafts. The only negative I have with the drive shaft is the NVH from 50 - 70, which is annoying. I now wish i spent the extra money going for the carbon fiber. Other than that, it's a great mod...
Daniel Stavely try rotating it 180 degrees and often it will go away. Depending on what suspension package you have it might still be noticeable. But often rotating it can reduce it a lot.
@@BrenspeedEngineering so no adapter plate needed on axle side of shaft read that you do and dont and some vibration due to adapter plate on driveshaft
If you mean the black plate that adapts there bolt pattern to whatever car yes they have that. I use these weekly and don't get a vibration problem. These shafts are balanced to a higher RPM than most any on the market. They are great quality. Thanks for watching!
@@BrenspeedEngineering if the black plate is needed for install read yes and no so I'm stuck in the middle bought a shaft from friend but came without plate
You could try rotating it and bolting it back up, that has helped some people if it is actually the driveshaft. It really shouldnt be louder than stock except for a little more NVH coming through the car.
I have the aluminum one and it vibrating like crazy on the highway. Going to remove it. $800 paper weigh I guess. If you daily you mustang I would not recommend
Not on stock tires or prob even drag radials. But I broke a stock one on slicks with a 6500 RPM launch car only made like 300 rwhp. It was a dead hook though which caused it. You wouldnt have that issue with a little spin or much more mild launches.
I have installed a DSS CF on my S197 GT, my car is much more responsive now. Worth every penny. Very happy with it.

Brian Pinter yes I love them also they are very high quality. Thanks!
Brenspeed Thank you for selling me the best Drive Shaft IMO on the market.
DSS, Ford Racing, MMR, Dynotech, Steeda, Dana Spicer which is the best choice? Noticed the DSS unit doesn't come with a boot, others do.
I had the dss in my 19 6speed car and the vibration it had was unreal. Tried to rotate it 180 degrees with no luck. Put the stock ds back in.
Damn thats crazy
@@BrenspeedEngineering any suggestions
What do you do if your 69 chevelle has 2500 hp ??
Wheelies.
Buy a tesla
I just saw a video from Stang mode saying that he purchased a DSS chromoly driveshaft? Is that something new?
I went with the carbon fiber on my Hellcat Redeye. They made my HD axles on my 427 Shelby Cobra too! Great place.
Thanks for the comment!
DSS… great company. Love to see a positive review

I have the Carbon Fiber one and it has never done anything negative !!!
Terry aka "tigerhonaker"
Terry Honaker cool but will it hold up to 2500 hp ? Nope !!!!!
@@jonalarcon8564 At 2500 hp, you'll probably want to go with a chromoly steel shaft.
thanks for your video. how long of a install on a 2016 gt s550
About an hour and a half.
any e46 m3 driveshaft?
Not that I know of thanks for watching!
What about noise? Is the Aluminium version noisier than the carbon one?
Al year as far as noise I have not noticed a difference in the two at normal driving. Thanks!!!!
Will this work with long tube headers and a H pipe ?
DSS Driveshafts will work with any replacement exhaust. THANKS
Weight & heat are the enemy of performance. One pound of rotating mass is worth three pounds of static mass. Great video!
Thanks!
I'd love to see a dyno comparison of these, seeing the difference in WHP similar to what you did with the 20" wheel test video!
Good idea thanks for watching!
Yep I want one for my 2014 Mustang GT
Thanks for watching!
One piece, doesn't that put stress on conponants when vehicle goes over bumps.
Adapter needed if so bummer
NO pinion flange needed if that is what you mean. These are direct bolt in, you dont change the pinion flange.

Contact manufacturer they can get you what your missing
My DS from dss is noisy as heck. Letting out of the gas is annoying as shit. Wahhh

I would suggest rotating it 90 or 180 to see if that helps. They should not vibrate at 80 mph. Thanks for watching!
Good info!
Thanks for the views Robert!
Stock driveshaft is not going to break on stock power..

The carbon fiber likes to explode like the American mustang video steph’s car
Knightmare5.0 I’m a victim of that with only 430 rwh no,sent them pictures and they me it looks cut smh
