    Obviously, carbon fiber is cool. But what are the benefits of a carbon fiber driveshaft? Dave, from QA1, is here to help us out. He'll explain exactly how his company creates these high-quality products, who they're for, and why you're definitely going to want one.

    Would like to see actual 1/4 mile times between an aluminum and a carbon drive shaft. I bet not alot of bang for your buck for one of these.

      @cmichaeloutube 6 месяцев назад +4

      A less than 1HP gain won't show on acceleration times. The benefits is in the driving reposnse. The engine is more directly connected to the tires because the twist, or slack delay, in the OEM driveshaft is eliminated.

  • @PASquared

    No doubt that people will find a performance benefit out of them, and no doubt they will come down in price eventually...but $1800 is quite eye-watering when a comparable aluminum one is half the price

    Ran a QA1 carbon driveshaft on my old 2015 s550 for couple years. Had zero issues and was way better than my factory 2 piece driveshaft. My car was also daily driven as well. Rain or shine out here in Texas. I will be buying another one for my 10r80 2018 car here shortly.

    • @TOX_Ron
      @TOX_Ron Год назад +1

      You pay what you get for. More durable, lighter, and like the guy said in the video you would 60 ft better. Totally worth it. But if you plan on keeping the car just full bolt on than this would be a great start to get the weight down

    • @brentrichards1200

    Carbon Fiber is not designed to take a shock load! If you do a hard launch with one of these it will turn in fiber shreds and powder.
