    Awesome video. Quick and fast. I tried this and it’s amazing how fast it is. I use a lot of shredded chicken in tacos, enchiladas, chicken and yellow rice, chicken salad so I just use the basic ingredients such as salt n pepper, garlic and onions. Then I remove the skin, bones, I shred and freeze. When I’m in the mood for enchiladas I grab the bag and I add the needed ingredients and the family has a quick meal.

    I've been doing this with frozen thighs and barbecue sauce. I cook them for 16 minutes and I don't add any water if I have enough sauce. They are delicious, moist and tender. Yours looks great too! Thanks for the video.

    We got a 6-in-1 Instant Pot for Christmas and Im quickly learning its my favorite thing ever. Im a lazy cook and can just throw whatever in and walk away... come back in a moment for an entire cooked meal. Love it.

    It would have been helpful to see a meat thermometer take a reading of the meat at the bone plus cutting all the way through to see how done it is.

      I'm glad.
      I had a few friends that were unconvinced, but the ability to make a home made meal FAST is just awesome. The ability to whip something together, from FROZEN in less than half an hour is a lifesaver for my busy family.
      I'm actually on my second electric pressure cooker, I've had one for a few years and I use it several times a week.

    Thank you for your helpful video!! I just got an Instant Pot/ Duo Nova Multi-use Pressure Cooker. Made a honey garlic and soy sauce to go with 4 frozen chicken drums and rice. Hoping it turns out okay. I think it will.

    If I cook chicken like that I use the liquid to make rice. Then you have a nice flavored rice.

    • @tammywall9651
      @tammywall9651 2 года назад +1

      Makes sense to use the water to cook the rice and give it a nice flavour. Thanks!!

    • @MattintheKitchen
      @MattintheKitchen  6 лет назад +3

      Yes, they might get a bit overcooked, particularly if they're fresh. If they're frozen I'd put them in a steaming rack on top and make it a one pot meal, which I love.

    Hi i have 5lbs of chicken legs how long should i cook them 15 minutes or 20.What was the oz of the jar you used.Thanks

    • @MattintheKitchen
      @MattintheKitchen  3 года назад +1

      It's chicken, so I'd check your pressure cooker manual.
      5lbs is a lot I'd go longer, and check the temp with a meat thermometer when you're done if you do quick release. You don't want food poisoning.
