    We have an instant pot but neither my wife or myself have hardly used it so we don't use it much! She seems to think it is a waste of electricity but I can't agree because you cooked those wings in what 10 minutes? She suggested I use our Crock-Pot, that is 2 hours minimum! I need to cook a bunch of wings 4-6 lbs for a get together, can I cook them all at the same time in the instant pot or should I do it in small batches? Thanks for such a great video, I am looking forward to trying your recipes! If I was to cook say 4-6 lbs of wings all together should I cook them longer? Thanks for your help I really want to learn more about using our instant pot and I really appreciate any and all suggestions 😊!

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  9 месяцев назад +1

      I would agree with you, that the instant pot is overall better in this case than the slow cooker in terms of energy. You can fit 4 lbs, 6 may be cutting it close (don't fill more than 2/3rd of the way full) For that many wings, I would increase the cooking time by 1 minute.

So I set IP to "1" minute, on high. Then, I will prep them like the wings, cook them, and burn on BBQ sauce. So that's it. 1. Chicken quarters. 2.Thawing food in I.P. thanks. My good friend Heather was a chef before she died in a car wreck 8 yrs ago. I asked her why my chicken always came out tough. She said NOT to cook chicken twice (I was defrosting in microwave and then baking them). You're cooking them twice here-instapot and again in broiler. It makes me wonder how tender they are.

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  Год назад +3

      First of all, I am sorry about the loss of your friend. As for the chicken, broiling for this short amount of time will not make a huge impact on cooking the chicken. It is completely different than microwaving and then baking.

      I use my instant pot for everything. Especially when I cook any meat from frozen, It also saves you from heating up your whole kitchen in the summer and getting lots of pans dirty. I recommend making pot roast or pulled pork in it if you're just trying to save time though even chilli, you don't need to cook them for hours to develop the flavors like cooking in the oven or on the stovetop. It also is great for making bone broth after you make the wings or a whole chicken you can throw in vegetable scraps and cook for an hour and half instead of 6 hours on the stovetop, I hope that helps y'all figure out some great uses for your pressure cooker.
