- And now back to regularly scheduled gameplay shenanigans. This time featuring the BR 8.0 German store premium TURM III. Absolutely fantastic vehicle, no idea how it's still 8.0.
Oh yeah, it's full name is "Erprobungsträger mit 3-achs-stabilisiertem Turm"... and no, I'm not pronouncing it.

What do you use?
fuck turms really. Reloads faster than amx but with added stab. Poor first shoot accuracy? shoot their barrel with 30mm coax. You also got speed, mobility, and fast as fuck vertical aiming. Downside is armor but at 8.0 everyone one shot everyone. No other tank have this much capability especially at 8.0.
I survive an minute with it until 7 T55 target me across The map

West Germany did the unthinkable by making the gyrostabilizer mechanism a tank-sized complexity and gave it gun(s) lol. It's unfortunate that the game couldn't replicate its gimbal-like turret movement because if it does, you're looking at one of if not the smoothest form of gun stabilizer placed on a land vehicle 🤣

Was just looking for a video on the Turm III since Im on that rank now with my first tech tree and its seems like really fun vehicle to grind with, so I think Ill buy it today!

I remember when I bought it, at first I was playing it like the SOMUA, as a frontline tank but I realised that I was dying too many times doing nothing. I switched and learned to flank very well with it and realised how this tank is a gold mine, easly 5 - 10 kills per matches!
Exactly how I play it! Just got the gepard (literally only played one game with it) and now my 8.0 line up is even more OP
21:49 I heard engines from both sides and saw the WZ pull up to the corner then back away after rewatching that part
and I think I could vaguely hear the WZ as well but that was after you died to it
Yeah while editing I did notice the WZ pull past the corner. During recording I must have missed it because of being focused on the left side. Really do be like that

I have such a love/hate relationship with this game. On one hand it’s an incredibly fun tank and aircraft shooter that’s not too simmy in RB. On the other you have the festering pile of incompetence that is Gaijin. I hate giving them money but the game is really fun most days

the way they mold the armor on this thing (not the thickness, just the look) reminds me of AMX-50s, which kinda makes sense they probably got the idea from french designs

Honestly 8.0 fits, it's made out of paper while being a large target, 1-shot to kill either side of the turret, no thermals or laser rangefinder, but you get powerful fast firing armaments w/stab and good mobility. It's a glass cannon gundam tank basically lol

I honestly don't know many rat spots, but I do plan to eventually do videos on maps.

I used to use it. Turned it off recently because it's just so bulky
stb1 should have loading assistance mechanism. 4second reload for first few rounds. after Turm III was added, i expected them to finaly give stb1 its loading assistance mechanism. nothing like that happened.
Loading assistance mechanism? Like a semi-auto loader?
@@robertharris6092 semi automatic loading device would be correct. 4 round could be placed into it. 4 seconds reload. similar to Strv m/42 DT or Chi-Ri II.

I have the American 8.0 premium. To think these two are in the least bit similar is insane. This thing has a full stabiliser (supposedly 3 plane but not modelled) with a coax 30mm, large ready rack and,correct me if I’m wrong, a LR. The American T54E1 has a ready rack of 9 with one loaded and some derpy armour moments here and there.
These two are not equal. Why the hell gaijin thinks they are must be the same reason the BMP-2M ain’t 10.7
No laser on the Turm but yeah, it's insane to think the two are equal

Was this spot patched? Cuz I know a spot on Japan where only light tanks could get to and was super super strong and they made it out of bounds

American heavy tanks sseem to have a thick vertical spall liner separating driver cabin from ammo and turret section.

there is quite literally no way I could stay in one position and fire like 15 times without dying. i mean 2 shots maybe in one place and I get whacked. your first round in this video would be the equivalent of me hitting 5 hole in one's in a row on a par 5 course where I'm only allowed to use a putter...

Because I saw that a Type 59 got a kill earlier in the kill feed. Honestly I just assumed it was a Type 59 during commentary and it turned out to be true lol

Absolutely. I'm running with a 1440p monitor, and using DLDSR 2.25x (rendering at 4K). Graphics settings are all cranked to max, including TAA.

Also I'm using NVIDIA, and have +60% to digital vibrance. Pretty sure that carries over to the recordings...

something weird about this tank it weights 42.5 Tons and it has no armor, how can this happen??
My speculation is that it's due to the complexity of the 3axis turret system. Possibly the autoloader as well. The turret is definitely larger and I think the hull is taller too, compared to Leopard 1. The engine is slightly more powerful too, so maybe it's heavier.

I got 12 nukes in one week with it
8.0 is the best Br for the Turm 3, When I play with Turm 3 on 9.3 -9.7 or higher it doesn't perform at all anymore because the APDS often fails and the enemy Tank is much better, Turm 3 doesn't even have a laser rangefinder , thermal ,Armor ….. If you meet a premium T55 you have massive difficulties to penetrate it frontally, the 30mm is also good but it does not justify an upgrade to a higher BR.
I feel like the mobility and outright utility of the autoloader and autocannon negate that argument. It's just too powerful to be facing players with 7.0 or even 7.3 lineups imo
Yes WT would have enough players to use a +/- 0.3 br bracket.
I agree with you. I play it on AB to grind and its 8.3 on AB and its not even that good you can win head on battles 95% of the time and even when u get side shots always critical hits i swear its bugged

but people ignore that and instead complain that german has a "superior" tank

dual axis stab, damage model wack AF, coax 30mm, 5 sec autoloader, fast, good reactive mobility... Definitely 8.3 material at the very least.

Yeah 8.3 would definitely be more fair I think. No laser does start to hurt very quickly though, but it's just too strong at 8.0
the TURM III is absolutely disgusting in a downtier and pretty much unfair in a 7.0 game, its almost as bad as the XM-1 spam back in the day.
yeaa...it doesnt get LRF but alot of other vehicles dont either, such as the T-10M as an example.
They can still work but but 8.0 tends to be a black hole where you either STOMP being downtierd or being the one getting clapped in an uptier.

I have to fight Turm 3 in my T44
I had to fight unpenetrable tanj T-55AM1 every single game, while you had to fight turm 3 with your t-44 once in 100 games.
