    I enjoy watching the "behind the scenes" of keeping the railroad running. I could spend all day with y'all helping by cleaning the ROW, regrading, tamping, etc. Keep up the great work.

    What a team! To me it's so interesting to watch you all raising, leveling, & tamping gravel in place to assure a level line. I watched in amazement. Please to continue to show all the work you do during the week to allow us to enjoy riding on the MRSR on weekends.

    It's actually amazing what we seem to get done with 5.247938 track jacks and worn out tamper bits (man I have got to change out that left rear one!).

      @@mtrainierrail Thank you guys for running trains in the first place, I always thought I had to leave the state to see some steam lol.

    Looking good- yes any dip in the line is not good news for the locomotive. Keep on steaming guys :D

    A Power Jack Tamper sure would make the job easier .

    Do you have a track gauge with a bubble level?

    • @speeder3-gi1lk
      @speeder3-gi1lk 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, I have a proper track level that I use for this work.

    Do you think 🤔 you ever move logs again 🤔

      I find that unlikely first the tracks to Morton would need to be fully restored, which is something they’re looking into but something that probably won’t happen anytime soon. and then the sawmill would want to still do it and there would need to be a railroad willing to haul the logs. I don’t know if Mount Rainier scenic Railroad has an interest in freight operations or has the necessary equipment to do so, but nothing is impossible. I don’t know if Tacoma rail or Rainier rail would want to spend the fuel to drive that long distance. I’m not sure if it’s profitable for them or not.

    I don't see why you don't build a brass foundry using 🤔 blacksmith burner and you must have some old boiler 50" inch tube to make the furance Using blacksmith concrete for heat resistant materials to build the furance and cover of the furance
    You could make your own brass bearing for the steam engines
    Also, build some equipment for maintenance way also
    It is a neat interesting railroad and keep up the great work

    Loads of rotten and broken sleepers (ties) there, be getting on with charging those out.

      Sadly it's a way the railroad creates it's difficult and backbreaking work I'm sure the crew agrees I've done this kind of work and honestly it does slip form time to time

      Unfortunately as ive learned rather recently railroaders tend to swear like sailors. consider yourself lucky they bleep the worst of it. its tough backbreaking work as Southern207 said. even with modern QOL features like tactical diesel powered assault shovels (excavators) it is tough thankless work
