The 3 hole strip gusset reminds me of the tange norcos of the early 80’s, plus the dropout holes. My first proper race bike was an 85 norco starfire mini
With the red the frame looks exactly like my early 80s Appollo...made by Kuwa...BMX ...Your build is bang on...love it man ! even the little drilled gusset on the downtube is the same...CHEERS.
those pads are the most 70's80's thing ever, makes me think of battle star galactica, this particular bike is one of the best looking BMX icons of all time, up there near the original PK Ripper, only critique is your cranks are always over the top, not what I remember kids had on their bikes at the time, love that you are keeping 80's BMX going
@@RadBMXBuilds your build is probably correct, there's a BMX magazine cover of that same bike with 1 piece cranks, then I saw another with the high end 3pc cranks... I'm just saying I never saw that kind of crank anywhere when I was a kid, but I only saw 1 race PK and that was in 84 and earlier, then I was out of BMX by 85... so when I see all the high end cranks it confused me a little, you're right and I don't know much, just what I remember... and I was in IL, you were in CA pre 85 so you were getting stuff earlier than us... I don't even remember this bike from when I was a kid, I just love the look of it which is more of a 70's vibe than 80's... I think i tend to like more of the 70's and early 80's BMX and lean toward the 70's... when I was a kid I only saw mongoose, se/pk, redline, torker, huffy, kuawara, diamond back and I had this catalog on yellow paper where I ordered my takagi 1pc cranks to build my mongoose, my brother's mongoose had those takagi tourney 3 peice cranks but they stripped out at the axle bolt... he also has an original tuff neck and gold arya rims, I have a walmart neck... i might have seen some other bikes when we went to town but I lived out in a tiny farming village where the only bikes I saw were those listed above that belonged to the rich farm owning kids, one older kid raced for SE Racing
Yet another one from RAD BMX! Knocked it out of the park as usual. Looks seriously killer mate.
I appreciate that
Gotta say as an 80s BMX lover… this is one of my favorite bikes. Nice job 👍🏻 🔥💯

Awesome build man! Takes me back in time! There was a dude who had a chrome one at the track when I was a kid, one of my favorites!

I remember when Greg had his company GHP before he rode for cycle pro.
The GHP chrome pads set off that paint.
One of the best builds for sure! Love the color

MCS BMX has a chromed gold brake cable that would look killer on that bike.
Great build, looks awesome! I have two GHPs (8/83 Pro and 1984 Trix). GHP are seriously incredible bikes! Love the channel man!
That’s really awesome ! Thank you so much
Those chrome pads are so cool looking 🎉
I think so too!

Buddy of mine had a red Gregg hill in 1984
You should check out Mage's GHP collection 😎
I saw it at Dirty Fest! It’s insane
Does this person have a RUclips channel? And if yes would you mind sharing it?
