Your channel has been a favorite of mine for years now. One of the few guys consistently pumping out quality bmx videos that keep us coming back for more. 🙌 Would love to see you hit 100K here on YT and see that silver play button hanging on your wall. Just purchased tickets to the BMXHOF event last night. Will miss the Friday evening event, but hope to say hi on Saturday or during the ride out on Sunday 👍
I watch all your videos and your channel inspired me to start mine. I started my YT channel back in March and it’s definitely not easy. I have a lot of respect for what you do. Especially doing it by yourself. You ask yourself is it worth it..? Believe me, I’ve done the same. I say.. YES. The amount of people you inspire with your builds is priceless. You have a huge fan base, including me, and I say you keep on trucking! I hope our paths cross one day so I can shake your hand. Thanks for all that you do! 👍
No one ever got rich in the bicycle industry. Am I right? I understand. Scale back. Reclaim your time. Spending all this time to break even takes a toll. Your show is dope. I'm not really into BMX and I watch your show. Keep us updated, show us your rides.
I've still got my chrome MCS Spider from 1983ish build. Araya, Shimano, ACS large flange, GT bars, Haro plate, Kashimax, California Lite checkered pads, fluted seat post, KKT lightning pedals! ect... So fun to remember the danger!
You have lots of nice bikes for sure. Dont stress too much about things. If you are retired and this is all you do? You are a lucky man for sure. Just enjoy and take things in stride. Hope continued success and happiness to you..
Love the show!!! Invite subscribers to come the show to ask questions or do a build w someone. Ask people to send in detailed pics of their bikes and do a video talking about their bike, what you like but more importantly what you know about the bikes in the history. Everybody wants to education and to learn something.
I enjoy watching your videos, I build bikes but have a much smaller collection…but yours is one of my favourite channels. I found you on RUclips first actually. And you ended up inspiring me to start my own humble channel. Don’t quit, you’re living my dream job…I mean that!!
I’m 55 and love your work. I’ve been playing with bike builds for about 4 years. I do it because I love it. I make zero money. I have the same feels you do for it all. Since covid nobody has any money. Good luck finding that magic spot where you are happy. Please keep posting. 👍
10:50 and 16:14 🤤 🔥🔥🔥 I do love and appreciate the effort, info, detail, and the realness you bring in your videos. You do what you want to do and they always look fantastic!! Please keep it up your videos are why I started doing this as well but at a much slower pace but it is unbelievably fun and enjoyable and I know that I am not the only one you have inspired!! Stay RAD!🤙🏻
The shop is insane! Tons of cool stuff. As far as content goes, just do what you can. You can't please everyone and so there is no sense trying. But I hear you, you'll get maybe 1 negative comment out of a hundred but that one for some reason, tends to sting when it's so far outweighed by the positive comments. Keep going and keep bringing us rad builds!
Instagram is awesome but the longer format of RUclips is way more interesting to watch! I appreciate the videos, please keep making the videos. Like, comment, and subscribe people! let’s keep this channel RAD!
I have been here for years and never looked at your subscriber numbers, I am surprised with the quality of your videos and your builds that you don't have alot more subscribers.
Love the nostalgia of your builds. Some are childhood dream bikes. Love watching it. Might be a cool idea to find locals in your area that ride old school bikes like you. Maybe do bike checks with them. Find bmx rides out in the area. Maybe just add some more alternatives to this bmx world.
I personally love your content and bikes iv been a avid subscriber since the very first video and I also think your doing a great job don't give up yet just keep your head up and everything will smooth out
I can only imagine how many miles we road on a summer day. Down to the local park for free swimming in the community pools, just like in "The Sandlot" and playing at the park shack with an attendant, where we got free bag lunches and milk, and they put out a bike ramp and slipping-slide down the 50-yard hill (Surfing or head first for the brave:). We played tennis ball golf with wooden clubs and tennis balls provided by the shack, played ping pong, and tennis, Tag on the playground equipment, our created crafts to take home from the shack. We ate all our 1-cent candies and planned out our next "Goonies" adventure. Dozens of kids every day. Great times! A few years ago I returned to the park after retiring from the Marines; everything was gone, the shack boarded up, and the park empty. I have so much empathy for kids today; we were truly blessed! I just got a 24" Schwinn Predator like the 20" I had at the time. Now time for the customizing to make it my own, and out for some adventures.
You build some of the coolest bikes around and I really like that you don't build them to factory spec. I don't know anyone that kept their bike stock in the 80s and 90s. I definitely don't leave anything stock, absolutely voiding warranties. If you're going to bring someone in to help you, it'd be awesome if have kids, nieces and nephews or maybe even a close friend to bring in. Looking forward to seeing the new builds, keep shredding 🤙
Hell yeah dude, keep going! I personally love the content, and will try and get on the site and buy some merch, shipping to Australia can be a killer though 😮
I know the feeling about having to many bike's. I have 4 builds in process too haha just finished up a 87 group 1 rs2 in red/black color combo. Love the content and the bike collection. I build and collect for fun and sell a few things as well.
I look forward to new content, bikes and hanging out in your shop. I dont expect regular content or much more than your cool approach to the lifestyle. Thank you for your service to the country and your videos. We need a distraction in this toxic time I dont use Insta and found you here on RUclips first. _Its been a while since youve taken us on a ride.. since you moved.. maybe that white Trickstar that hasnt been out yet?
I just subscribed a week ago. Do not recall how I found you but I’m in my early 50’s and grew up in the 80’s BMX era. I’m very fond of what it is you do and the bikes I see. They bring me back. Mostly to bikes I wish I had. There were kids in my neighborhood that had Race Inc, Powerlite, Redline and Mongoose. I did end up with what I thought was a pretty cool bike but not as rad as those you build or I mentioned. I had a 1983 Metallic Chestnut Brown Schwinn Scrambler with yellow Skyways. A brown bike, yeah, but it was actually rad to me. I lived in NE Ohio in a small town and that year the GT factory riders cruised through our town with a truck and a trailer with a quarter pipe. They set up and did their thing. Absolutely free, for about 5-7 of us local kids. It was like an AC/DC fan walking into his local watering hole and then being on stage. It was a great summer. You mentioned needing something to get your mojo up doing these vids. Not sure this will do that but I think what you do is awesome. Appreciate you and thank you for your service, from a fellow Vet. God bless.
Have you ever built or actually seen one of "Cannondale's" short lived 20" or 24" Hand butted aluminum BMX frame and fork, they had a race team for a very short time in like the late 80's or early 90's? I only saw one twice since first seeing one back in the day... also do you possibly know where i could locate a "Browning 2 speed" shifter setup like "Darrell Young" ran on his JMC's in the 80's?
Love the channel keep up the great work saving up to get one of your builds going to take some time and RIPHarry I saw world of stars in 1983 or 84 at Waterford Oaks in Pontiac MI lived right down the road from there rode my 1984 GT pro to watch it
Thanks for the quick response and I am definitely going to keep an eye on your site for a bike, just wanting to bring back a little child hood memories back lol.
I saw both of them, both are awesome bikes but I was looking for a GT FREESTYLE , I had mine from when I was a teenager but I lost it in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and I was just trying to find something similar, was just trying to bring back a little memories. I will keep checking your web site from time to time, thanks again for the reply
