When I got pulled over for the first time at 17 I was bawling, shaking (im an extremely anxious person) and had no idea what the papers looked like (so same as you). But I handed the officer my envelope and I said “can you please just grab it for me” and I’m so glad the officer wasn’t a dick like the one you had was, he seemed to understand I was anxious and grabbed me the papers. Very thankful
2:38 he SHOULD have told you that you could take that registration ticket, with your registration, to the police station. That would prove you had a registration and in most cases, they will dismiss the ticket. In some cases, they lower it to a cheap ticket for not having the document on hand while being registered. That cop was being a j e r k. 5:53 Awww thats better 😊
I'd like to think that you calling the officer out for not doing his duty of being helpful also started weighing on his mind. Like, yes, sure, you should know what the papers look like if you're driving a car, but it wouldn't have been much for him to describe what you should be presenting to him either. You are a wonderful soul, Mimo; what a brilliant way to call out the mistreatment without resorting to insults.
A car backed up and rolled up over my car's hood. I was not hurt but very upset. I walked up to the driver of the other car, and tearfully pulled all 5' 2" of me and sobbed "I'd tell you what I think of you but my mother raised me to be a lady". Then I marched over to the sidewalk and waited for the police officers.
I don't know if it's like this in other states, but here in Alabama, if you hit a car in the backend, you are automatically at fault. Even if they suddenly slam on their brakes. Well, a guy backed into my husband one time & the policeman making the report put it down as my husband's fault. We were so pissed.
It happened on private property and no tickets were issued. I wanted a report for my insurance company. The accident happened on a college campus and the head of security wanted a report. The people who hit me were employees of the college. I attended a different college, but my job was pick up and delivery at various places. @@jeanellrushing5767
Omg. I had the same EXACT thing happened to me. When the police officer asked me for registration. He gave me an attitude for not knowing or forgetting how a registration looks like.
I absolutely love ❤ your stories. Definitely made me smile and giggle. My husband even smiled when I was watching this. ( I was sitting at the table with him) thank you for sharing your sweet, playful and funny life experiences even if they are not humerus till years later. Love how open and honest you are with us. Not only showing perfect snapshots as so many social media people do. ❤❤❤
I'm so glad! I don’t know why but it makes me smile extra when I hear that even the husbands like it. I think it’s because I feel like the vast majority of my audience is female 😂🙈
This was a great chat!! Thank you for sharing these stories. The first one about the cop had a nice twist at the end! I'm glad everything worked out for you. Love ya!!
mimo love the long videos!!!!! please make more IF you have time to spare in your busy life! i’m so sick of influencers and celebrities you are like the only person on the social realm that i enjoy watching who isn’t a genocide supporter. Love from chicago iraqi ❤️
0:54 this is so relatable 😭 I almost got fined for not having those papers, even though I had them! I just didn't know what they looked like. In my country the "registration" is a laminated card! And my dad (I was driving his car) had put that card in a little leather sleeve in the glove box. It was so stressful 😢 but I called my dad and finally found it. They were gonna fine me 50 BHD which is over 100 dollars.
It’s always so frustrating because you feel like it’s such a waste of money. I know they have to do that for people who drive recklessly, but I know the feeling of paying that much sucks
I expected "If you're ever pulled over KNOW YOUR PAPERWORK" but got "If you're ever pulled over TELL EM YOU'RE A TEACHER" 😂😂😂😂 I'm dead 💀 Not Mimo advocating lying to cops!! I laughed WAY too hard 🥰🥰🥰
That was gold 😂😂 love the police story shows, never to stay silent you definitely got through to him otherwise your tickets wouldn't have been ripped up lol
Hi Mimo. I once got pulled over because I ran a red light (without knowing because of the way the street was designed) My daughter was about a year old and she was crying. The cop was like just be careful in the future. That was one time I'm glad she was crying lol. I love listening to your stories. I love all your shorts and I'm loving the longer videos. I don't know much about women wearing hijabs and I want to thank you for sharing all your stories. You are so funny and honest. Free Palastine!
Mimo, I love your story times ❣️ they are so interesting yet funny😀. When I was pregnant and craving, I had only 2 cravings, watermelon, and grape tomatoes 🍅. I'd carry around a little bag of grape tomatoes my entire 9 months. I still buy them today, yummy 😋.
As an Indigenous woman, I work with the police here in order to ensure fairness to all. I have filed many complaints, and have changed many policies. One of the things I presented was a paper called "Dear Police Officer". It was about how I felt being pulled over by a big, white cop, late at night, being an Indigenous woman.
You are so emotional and expressive in the best way. (Of course emotion is NOT weakness. I’d be severely worried for any humans who didn’t have visible emotions; it’s literally what makes us people!). You completely bright up my day. You show people the kind of human and Muslim (if someone is one) we should all try to be; not bigoted, homophobic or judgmental of others and treating every single person exactly the same respect wise regardless of whether we share their religion, seggsuality or lifestyle. People like you are the reason I can do confidently ignore the, ironically quite sinful, haram police. You are an amazing light ray and beacon of sunshine. The thousands of people you make smile will bring you so much reward in this life and the next! ❤❤
🥹🥹 we are all human at the end of the day trying to make it through this thing called life and if we all cared for one another, the world would be amazing 😭😭😭
I was having severe anxiety about baking my daughter’s birthday cake properly for her special day tomorrow and I put this on and it was like listening to my sister talking in my kitchen for girlie time while I clean the oven and make the batter. 🖤
15:28 Thank you Mimo for your wonderful stories & insights into your life. You may think it's boring, but I actually find it interesting & learning more about your religion & culture in a very sweet way. Love it, pls share more. 😊
Mimo! I’m loving these videos of you! You are sooo entertaining and teach so much based on your own life experiences. love you! 💜💜💜 please keep doing these!
the doctor one LMFAO yea id keep my scarf on like i did when i had some male dr check up my down there just because it's kinda like wearing a shirt, you wouldnt take a shirt off even if the dr is checking up your private, but you made a good point LOL
I work in an endoscopy center, and a hijabi lady came into get her colonoscopy. I never forget a face, later, she arrived from the procedure without her hijab. Yes, she has my number now 😊 she was so kind and reminded me of my late sister! Some hijabi women cover at their colonoscopy, some don't, but after bearing your butt, there's not too much to hide anymore.
I love your stories. I get random cravings for stuff, too. They're not pregnancy cravings since I'm a guy. I think it's because I loved the items as a kid. Swedish fish, Swedish watermelon (same as the fish but they're little watermelons), lifesavers, pickles, ranch with vegetables. It's crazy. Question, what if the guy wears a hat like this -> 🤠, do you still have to wear your hijab?
Those kind of things don't always work. My SIL was pregnant and a teacher and got pulled over on the way to her baby shower and they still gave her a ticket even though she was crying and her teacher badge was visible lol
May I ask what color your hair is? Is it long or short? Do you know if hijabis experience alopecia from the material being on frequently? Can you tell some of your customer horror stories for your next video?
hey ik this is random but could we get a hijab tutorial bc I have trouble with placing it but if you can plz do I will def watch it Also LOVE YOU MIMO ❤❤❤
