    This video review of Methylene Blue as a nootropic is an update to the video I recorded several years ago on Methylene Blue.
    In this video you'll discover the nootropic benefits of Methylene Blue. Including why we use Methylene Blue as a nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research.
    Methylene Blue, a synthetic compound, is used as a nootropic to enhance memory, mood, and longevity.
    It improves mitochondrial function and respiration in the brain, positively impacting memory and mood.
    Methylene Blue shows promise in treating neurological disorders such as mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease.
    And Methylene Blue acts as an antioxidant, increases brain cell lifespan, and positively affects neurotransmitters.
    Some who use Methylene Blue report that when reading or studying, once you’re done, you should feel like you fully understand the subject material. And you’ll be able to use what you learned in the future.
    Many neurohackers report the biggest nootropic effect they experience with Methylene Blue is “after the fact learning”. You take in the information. And it’s like your brain sorts through the material. Then stores it in a form you can easily access later.
    This in-depth Methylene Blue review covers:
    00:00 Methylene Blue intro
    01:34 Methylene Blue as a nootropic

    I Love MB - been taking it for 2 years (50mg 2xday in my own capsules which is below the dosage for my 175 lbs)) and the one supplement I can really tell that helps me with clarity and definitely my energy level. I just turned 70 and going strong. The only thing is my doctor is trying to determine why my hemoglobin and Red blood cells are below normal. I then read under MB one side affect was reduction of red blood cells on Nootropics website and in David's new book and actually he says so in the video. I wonder HOW it affects red blood cells?.
    I'm not saying MB is the cause. I actually feel great and with low blood cells and low hemogobin you are supposed to feel fatigued but I don't at all.

    • @Patriotx-gx4ce

      Probably due to fact first off all the medical charts and their levels of anything are relative and not always call for panic.
      Its how you feel that guides the healthy.
      You body is functioning optimally thus needs less red blood cells and thus your iron count will follow as its in them.

    When do you recommend taking methylene blue first thing in the am hrs right when you wake, or before bed? Because it also helps for sleep but it does power up the mitochondrial so it's going to stimulate a lot of energy so I would think first thing in the morning, correct? There's quite a few bioackers that recommend only taking it a few times per week, but what do you recommend? Every day in the morning or one to two times per day or just a few times per week in the morning? Please let me know. Thank you. I love your channel. I've been following you for years cuz you have incredible info and insight on nootropics!! Thank you, greatly appreciated

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  5 месяцев назад +5

      Methylene Blue is water-soluble and has a half-life of about 5 hours. So you can dose twice a day. Usually morning and noon. But we have no data showing how long it can safely be used.
      I suggest if using it long-term that you get your labs done a couple times per year. And keep an eye on your kidney and liver health.

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  Год назад +20

      Most nootropic supplement do not need to be cycled as long as you are staying within recommended dosages. I cannot think of a good reason to cycle Ashwagandha unless that is was works for you.
      But MB has a half life of about 5 hours. So there will be nothing left in your system within about 10 hours. The days you cycle off of using Methylene Blue are the days you do not get its benefits.

    Thank you! I have a question about serotonin syndrome, as I understood I shouldn't take this with L-tryptophan or any other similar substance.
    What about a microdosing protocol with mescaline? If you take L-tryptophan (or methylene blue) daily, and you stop taking them when you use your mescaline microdose, I shouldn't have any risk developing Serotonin Syndrome, right?
    Because in a microdosing protocol you usually take the substance 2 times per week, I guess stopping taking other similar substances like this or L-tryptophan the same day as mescaline should prevent the risks, right?

    So the recommended dose is .5 to 4 milligrams per kilogram of body weight. CTZL says for 1 percent solution to mix 1 gram of powder to 100 ml of water. CZTL says that .5ml of the 1% solution equals 5 mg. So for a 190 lb body or 86 kg woulod be .5*86=43mg. don't remember where I got the instructions for 9 drops of the one percent solution but that would only be 5mg according to CTZL. So how many drops should I be taking?

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  10 месяцев назад +4

      If 9 drops = 5 mg then 45 mg per day would be around 80 drops. But most find plenty of benefit from less than half that dose.

    • @bwaldners
      @bwaldners 7 месяцев назад +4

      You really should read Mark Sloan's book bout methylene Blue. He says that it lowers nitric oxide in our bodies, and that is why it is good for us. NO is produced in response to stress and and is not a condition we ought to be in , and that nitric oxide is actually bad for us. I can't go into it here, its too long , but by the time I was done reading why and wherefores of it I was convinced. Skip the citrulline and the arginine and take the methylene blue. They work against one another.
