You completely ignored/forgot to compare or mention WAYPOINTS when comparing video features. You also only spoke abut frame-rates for 1080p and never mentioned the 60p in 4K for the MA2, except mentioning it in the finale very shortly.
Getting tired carrying my Phantom 4 Pro around while hoping DJI would announce it's successor soon,but not likely.. On the other hand the Mavic Mini's price & size makes it really compelling for travel and less worrying about these drone laws lol

Hey great comparison! My Air 2 Combo Package arrived today ;-)). I asked my how big is the battery inside the controller...there is written at the back side 9,62Wh...really difficult to read...now we need the voltage to divide the 9,62Wh by 3,8V for instance...than I got only 2,5Ah or 2500mAh...the Mavic Pro 2 controller has 3850mAh...do you have information? Does the Mavic Air 2 work with the DJI Goggles the same as the Mavic 2?

Mavic air 2 : no
Craig weird. It’s ocusync 2. You’d think it would.
How can the M2Pro be Professional when it doesn't even have 4K 60p, which is a staple in professional cameras nowadays. I would say the MA2 is prosumer with some intentional cripples by DJI. And the M2Pro is a professional drone with some intentional cripples which brings it a little closer to the MA2. so there's very slight betw the 2 when comparing feature to feature. Do you want a compact pro drone that does A-X or a full size on that does C-Z. There's no A-Z in DJI, that would stop their cash flow so they wont do it.
Single imu issue on the air 2 anyone?
I need a 2nd drone along my mavic 2 pro. I fly that with a lot of confidence even when its 3/4km away. If it loses connection, it returns home on its own. will the mavic air2 do the same if it encounters magnetic interference?

@@larsking3574 I havent flown the mavic 2 for enetertainment recently, only for weddings.
What I can tell you from my experience is that it has the best low light video and image quality in its price range. If you can live without the 4k 60fps then its a great drone.
During day time though, nothing beats the phantom 4 pro.
The 10 bit log comes handy while grading.
It all depends on your expectations. If you have ever used a sony mirrorless camera or a nikon/canon dslr for video or photography, dont expect anything near that quality.
Its a glorified cell phone camera that can fly.
I made a video last year using the mavic 2 pro when I was just learning the basics of cinematography and editing. You can check it out, the drone shots start at dawn and ends at night. it has all segments of daylight. I had to do a lot of denoising in post and I mean a lot to get usable footage at night. It will give you a good idea, oh and use subtitles.

The price comparison is not really accurate. I was actually considering a Mavic 2 Pro because it costs less than the Mavic 2 Air, at least in Switzerland. Check this out:

So you see if the 1st (chapest) shop has sold out, the next best available price is 925 CHF. It's basically almost the same price than the Mavic 2 Pro.

True in some areas but no denying that the one inch sensor on the 2 pro will be better in low light situations. 2 pro is sharpest image at aperture f4.... Very sharp and good quality drone. Though mavic air 2 has better fps options, 240, 120fps hd and 60fps in 4k... 2 pro only does 30fps in 4k.
Love my Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom.....to get Mavic Air 2 will put strain to my pocket hah hah hah

Autel Evo 2. I hate spyware DJI. I have a Mavic 2 Pro and in my opinion it's not great like 1" sensor. I like Mavic Mini.
Mavic 2 Pro is overrated... That Hassleblad has nothing special, I see that drone as a bit of a failure. The image on the M2P is WAY too soft and makes it look out of the focus half the time. If you want HQ quality the field of view is crap and uses half the sensor from what I gather... So lets say that again, HQ uses half the sensor(because of the cropping)..so might as well get the Mavic Air 2. So its not about the video quality here, the only thing im worried about with the Mavic Air 2 is the single IMU, single Compass. Also you are inaccurate about the 48 Mpx, the sensor is 12 Mpx and then comparing it with the Sony A6500 ?! What? Please do a side by side of a photo taken with the sony A6500 and then the Mavic Air 2 and see how the 48Mpx translates in quality compared. lol The 48Mpx is a just software gimmick to create photos of that resolution.
About sensor size... Doesnt matter the sensor is 1 inch if the video looks out of focus, just because it doesnt have "noise", its just like blurring a noisy photo to fix it but the image is still crappy.
Just because you can adjust aperture, does not mean its necessarily a benefit if the image is still out of focus looking. Very importantly, what matters most is the speed at which you can get out the drone and shoot video. Adjusting aperture adds considerable time and complexity for the average user/traveller who usually have limited time to capture a moment. Because of this reason, size and weight are very important as well.
Enjoyed the read though the sharpest image quality with 2 pro is at aperture F4... Anything higher than that is very very soft in comparison. f2.8 to F4 is very sharp.
