I tracked on my fitness pal for the last 5 years and deleted the app. I had tremendous food guilt a s felt hungry all the time. After juat one week I feel so much better and my workouts have been so good. You really helped me.
When you say, “ you guys don’t need to know this..” no, we really do. At least I do! You have no idea how much your decision-making process helps me when I just feel lost. Your logical explanations are so instructive and inspiring. Thank you SO much!❤️
I so agree! We want to hear all the things and appreciate them :-) and it’s also very interesting. By the way, Nature Valley crispy creamy wafer bars are so delicious and has 5 grams of protein…lots of peanut butter. Just had to share!
I am autistic with sensory processing disorder. I need to toast my bread. Because I need crunchy or heavily textured food to mentally register that I am eating something. If the food or some part of the meal is too soft (cake, pasta, mashed potatoes) there is no signal so I will overeat due to the missing signal. Overtime I learned to not rely on my inner signals (I dont have any due to multi sensory aphantasia) but read the clock and plan to see if I need something to eat. Similar to what you did in the car. But I do this for my main meals to. If my stress levels are lower I will be able to read my cues..but for now this will do and makes sure I eat.
Your videos are so refreshing, from one dietitian to another. You are spot on! Did you tell us in a previous video why you’re in therapy and I missed that??

It's made me aware of how I don't get the best amounts of carbs, protein, and fats that work right for me. I did overnight oats for breakfast this morning, and was amazed at how satisfied it made me feel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!!
I'm the same way with my sandwiches; I like soft bread! There's been a couple times I've gotten a club sandwich at a restaurant, and the floor/roof of my mouth get a little torn up! Toast is thin and doesn’t cause that problem; a super thick sandwich with toasted bread? No thanks!
I love to melt herb goat cheese in the microwave with all the toppings for the tuna salad, and that’s what brings the filling together. And I love to use non-toasted oatmeal bread because it’s so soft.
Hi Colleen! I love the aloha protein bars, my favorite are the chocolate covered ones- the fudge brownie, mint chocolate, and PB cup are AMAZING. They’re pretty cheap too if you get them on thrive market🎉
I haven't tried the barbells, as their vegan range is only two, but one I love is misfit health protein bars they are sooo good, especially as topping of a baked oatmeal recipe
Have your sandwich as two open face pieces. The sandwich filling becomes a "topping" like you were talking about. I'll bet you'd want the bread toasted then!
I have a scone with butter for a snack on my weight gain meal plan, but I am Scottish, or I have milk with fruit , or a doughnut or snickers, I think a snicker is like protein bar packed with nuts

How come you don't butter or put both butter and mayo on your bread for your sandwich? The bread is dry lol. PLUS the butter adds flavor AND nutrition.

The carbs things is so relatable, ingredients like rice and potatoes what olive oil fuel me! Which felt confusing because everyone is saying that protein is what makes u feel full so started eating big salads with chicken breast and I never felt fuelled or satisfied no matter how much i ate, but whei i have baked veggies with olive oil, chicken breast, potatoes and rice on the side, it feel soooo good! Il
Just read your review of Magic Spoon. Excellent post, though I would disagree with you that carbs are an essential macronutrient. Only protein and fat are. Carbs "may" be optimal however it's not essential. Thanks
such a good video :)) I LOVE those Barebells - I think I had the creamy-crisp one & the hazelnut nougat, they became one of my favs so far!! I also love those Kikland/Costco ones but lately I have noticed those kind of tend to hurt my tummy a bit and cause bloating.. any idea why that might be, is it the sweetener they use? or anyone else experienced this? I do not have this issue with Barebells or PureProtein brands just those Costco ones.. which is a bummer, cause I do really like the taste (and especially the price!!) of those.. :/

Tip for the "Tik Tok Salad": add a few cherry or grape tomatoes, you can chop them or add them whole but either way; game changer
