    FYI your thumbnail could be a bit triggering for some people and dissuade people from watching. Saying that you “made a mistake” and ate “too much food” indicates a binge, which contradicts intuitive eating. Just letting you know since the majority of your audience may have a past of disordered eating and would notice things like that.

      It’s because “intuitive eating” is total garbage

      She didn't say she "ate too much food," it just says "too much food." In which case she explained later in the video. I don't disagree that this probably falls into the click bait category though...

    • @Littlewintie
      @Littlewintie 11 месяцев назад +12

      @@nberkel it’s not so much it being clickbait, it’s just the way she worded her title could be a bit triggering to people with eating disorders or past eating disorders! Using the terms “too much food” or “made a mistake” when it comes to food, is innocent yes, but can also have a huge impact on people struggling with food! Just one of those things..😊

    Love your videos, btw I commented on your last video about how I feel sick after eating breakfast and you responded that a smoothie or protein bar might be another option that would be easier to eat. Just wanted to let you know I tried that and it worked so well, I’ve been eating fruit smoothies everyday and I feel so much better! Thank you so much!

    I’ve been struggling with food restriction for a long time, and I just can’t stop thinking about food. But when I went back home to visit my aunt, who is always in the kitchen making meals for the family, I saw how she truly eats what she desires and what will make her body feel good. And just like what you said, she is not tired from making food, but from thinking about what to make. There’s a lot for me to learn.

    I thought your video was very helpful and I enjoyed going through your day of eating. I greatly appreciate the end especially because I have an ed and trying new recipes or thinking super hard about how to make every single meal and snack nutritional is suUuper exhausting. I've always wondered why, after eating so well for a couple days, I get so exhausted and tired of eating in general. But this video has helped me make more sense of my situation! And it relieves me to have some of my question answered because it's really weighed on me forever. I love your videos, they make me less anxious. Thank you for your video

    Hi Colleen. I have been watching your videos for a bit now and while I don't agree with everything you say (like set point weight) I do agree with a lot you have to say. But, I have had one question/concern when it comes to IE; how do you eat what your body is telling you when it is telling you and still get your ideal body? For me that would be slim and tone and I know if I eat intently I will not be as happy with myself. I hope this question makes sense and that you answer it for people like me to see thank you.

Love the yolks so much too and love how they make that delicious sauce :-) when you said it’s a little too much, maybe do one of your new recipes a day to break it up a little bit. Thank you for keeping it REAL ~ you are such a kick! More binge watching my friend Colleen, here I go :-) Take Good Care

    I never thought about savory oats. It sounds delicious 🤤
    It did feel like too much of thinking about food. Maybe just two new recipes, then maybe just some of your stand bys. That’s also more how I would approach new recipes anyways. Just one or two.

    • @ColleenChristensen
      @ColleenChristensen  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! Super fab question! If we only eat until we are not hungry we will likely be hungry soon again, right? How full you eat really depends on so many things. If you won't have access to food or want to not be hungry soon then we eat to a more fullness! We actually have a whole lesson called
      "differing levels of fullness" in the app! It's linked in the description❤

    I have a LOT of food allergies and sensitivities. Basically, there is almost nothing I can eat thats pre-prepared in a store. Like... I usually can't eat lunch meat, most condiments, and 97% of the health food section, which is usually tailored towards people with food allergies, etc.
    I'm kind of forced to eat a very super helathy/paleo diet, because of that. I almost constantly have what I call "food burnout". Basically, by the time dinner and packing lunch & breakfast/snacks for work the next day comes around, I feel like I've been running a marathon and I'm stumbling over the finish line. Because I have to make and prepare EVERYTHING from complete scratch. I'm very familiar with the feelings described at the end of this video. Its overwhealming, to say the least. I can honestly say, this is not a good thing to do all the time if you dont have to. I take very little joy in eating anymore. I eat because I have to. Food used to he something I was passionate about. Now just thinking about a making a snack is exhausting enough to convince me about half the time to just not eat a snack when I really need one. But, Colleen, you have helped me significantly with recognizing when I am full and eating so that my body feels good (even if I don't really enjoy it). So often my eating is tailored to being sure I'm getting enough of the right nutrients, which you helped me a lot with. The cycle I found myself in was eating and eating because I was worried I wasnt getting enough of the right nutrients, but I still felt horrible. Thank you for helping me zero in on what I really need to eat to feel good. You really have helped me to completely changed the way I think about eating during this really difficult time. 🤗 Thank you!

    I know I'm going to give those spinach and cheese oats a try, though I may give them my own spin. (I LOVE experimenting with recipes too!). I can see how a full day of eating vlog where everythiing is recipe testing is a bit too much, though I did find the recipes shared in the video intereseting. Maybe limit to one test recipe per Full day of Eating at the most.
