@@nightjaw2233it’s been monopolize by Resident Evil sadly. Don’t get me wrong, I love Resident Evil, it’s king for a reason, but indie titles really are the only remaining source of horror. The Triple A space of Horror just doesn’t have a big enough audience sadly.

This song was perfect for TEW. Not only does Sebastian descend further into madness throughout the game, but he physically goes a long way down starting with the first fall in the ambulance. Which is probably in itself a metaphor for his descent into madness. Such a good game.
I adore your comment and i agree, the whole game is a surreal nightmare in which you can only go down further into more and more horrifying stuff, which is why Long Way Down is such a perfect way to summarize the game
Recently got the game, and I gotta say. That part where the light of the fan is revealed to just be humming fluorescent lights, that's when I knew Sebastian was fucked.

I hear you man, I just finished my first Akumu "No Upgrades" run, I did it as a personal challenge, and in honor of The Evil Within and Tango Gameworks...it almost brought a tear to my eye when the credits rolled and the song started.
Nearly ten years ago, this music started playing right after Sebastian walked out of the door. This was a great series. At that time, I could not have imagined that it would end like this...

the last boss was not as interesting as expected.
And yeah I got no faith either in the gaming industry as I had before; developers nowadays seem to forget about the importance of storyline & gameplay while to concentrate more on the graphics & multiplayer! I'm a real multiplayer enthusiast, but still they ought to make sp stories more interesting & touching as they used to be a while, most of nowadays games seem to lack! Likewise, Some gaming franchises for the past few years got completely ruined, take for example "Assassin's Creed" & "Call of Duty", which I think doesn't need much talk about since almost everybody has already lost faith in!

+***** Resident Evil Revelations 2 is already included in my wishlist (thanks for the advice btw), and I can't wait for this semester holiday to get it, as well as some other games like The Last of Us & Dying Light (I just need to double check if DL is really worth it), though at the same time, I've totally removed AC, CoD & such long lost gaming franchises from my wishlest (I think Battlefield has already made up for the lost CoD franchise since the release of Bf3)!

the monster design was original, the ambiance was great, and some locations were visually beautiful.The gameplay was heavily classic but effective. i completed it yesterday and one thing is sure, it will stay in my heart.

The only thing I love more about 2 is that camera and aiming are way smoother.
But yeah, 1 leaves so many questions unanswered it makes the impact stronger
The thing I love about this game the most, it plays with my deepest inner fears. I hate being inferior and completely helpless compared to my enemies/problems and this game activates that exact emotion in me when I fight some of these bosses, because of their size waepons/claws.
like if that Ruvik know also about some players haha
The Keeper ranks right up there with Pyramid Head as far as cool-looking video game villains go.

I still remember when I first beat this game, (on casual) me and my brother had a long "debate" on what the ending meant while this song played in the background. I'm pretty sure none of us actually knew what it meant
ruvik actually escaped within leslies body,he got out as at the end of the game you can even see leslie walking upright instead of him in his hunched over hugging himself position,he was just walking normally even though he was not mentally well before,ruvik managed to absorb Leslie and became him thus allowing him to escape

@@MrLoverman7134 still,i find it interesting that even though they all fought so hard in the end it was meaningless because ruvik had won,he got what he wanted to escape the machine,and he did so through leslie after absorbing him within the brain and i guess you could say he "took over his consciousness"

I'm hoping if TEW 3 is made Ruvik returns. The way the first game ends implies he manifested into the real world and the end of TEW 2 with the computer turning on in the abandoned Stem laboratory.
He must return, he did take Leslie's body. But I dont know why they didn't continue his story for TEW2, they just left it out

The evil within is one of the best psychological horror games of 2014 and the best game created by the father of Survivor horror Shinji Mikami.

I enjoyed the evil within had some good gameplay but when I hear the game my family was confused on what it was trying to show
So I guess the moral of this games story is:
Don't think that everything you see is real as it could just be your dreams messing with your head
I just completed my first no upgrade run on Akumu, and man when those credits rolled and this song started, it was so bliss, it was a personal thing to me to do my no upgrade run on Akumu.
It definitely was a Long Way Down!
