This game is so damn good. People don’t give enough praise for this game. Every single bullet counts, every single corner could reveal an enemy. Granted, the enemies are kind of bland, but the game makes up for that in the sheer panic some enounters can give you. Played it for the first time a month ago (I’ve watched it ever since it came out tho), and even when I knew all the jump scares and most of the tense moments, I was so immersed in the game that *I completely forgot about most of them.* This game is INCREDIBLE. I cannot overstate that. And Ethan himself is just such a badass, he’s one of my favorite horror protagonists in general! Gahhhh, I love this game!!!
The first four verses are clearly about Eveline. The last four is Eveline calling Ethan to the house, and how when he goes to save Mia gets attacked by her (and everyone else) and gets literally torn apart.
Anyone get Resident evil 4 vibes from the setting for RE8. I mean we have a medieval village, with a castle overlooking it in an isolated region. I wonder if Leon's coming back for this one. Los Iluminados? Ada ? Jill Valentine? Barry? The Merchant? Very hyped
I like how the "I was raised in a deep dark hole. A prisoner with no parole. They locked me up and took my soul" describes Eveline's creation and being raised in a lab. And the "She'll call to him and he will come. She'll run to him like he's the one. His arms outstretched but when she's done he'll be torn apart" bit references Eveline using Mia to lure Ethan to the Baker house so she can infect him with the mould and make him her "dad."
@@aSpectreAppears Yeah, that is the point. Evelyn wanted to be human and have a family but there is no such thing as morality, norms or conscience in her. I mean, we cannot judge her by human standards for she is void of critical aspects that define a human being in the first place. You cannot even say she is evil cause she legitimately doesn't know what the fuck she is doing from a humane aspect.

I'm addicted to this song -- like I'll find myself just randomly humming the "Go tell Aunt Rhody" part for like 20 minutes straight without realizing it
Fisinhed this game again last month. I don't know why, but my second run was much more immersive and terrified more than the first one back in 2017. Maybe because this time I've played the enhanced version, with ray tracing and 120 fps. Truth be said, it's mind blowing how Resident Evil 7 can still be compared to recent games - I think it's even prettier than some games that were launched for this generation. Thanks, Capcom. PS: I also enjoyed the DLCs, they were great, specially "Not A Hero", "End of Zoe" and the cards game where you bet your fingers.

“I’m gonna squash you like a bug! HEHE!... Hope Marguerite didn’t hear that...” - Jack Baker, 2017
One of my favourite quotes
Jack Baker 2017-2017
"Shes given us a gift! And that gift is family! In other words. Your fucked." - Jack Baker, 2017
*"hope marguerite didn't hear that"*
When you’re starting a new game this line is literally foreshadowing what will happen with marguerite baker
I would like to point out that mother Miranda is literally the background portrait if we haven’t connected the dots yet😊
***minor possible spoilers*** Ever notice how this song more or less tells the story of the game?
The first four verses are clearly about Eveline. The last four is Eveline calling Ethan to the house, and how when he goes to save Mia gets attacked by her (and everyone else) and gets literally torn apart.
John clabo
The last time Capcom did this (that I remember) was Dragon's Dogma and it's theme song "Eternal Return".

Im fucking hyped! Imagine if joe is in it with his power glove lol
Very hyped
@@peterdows115 I'm pretty sure they are planning on a RE4 remake like 2 and 3, so that might have something to do with it.

I like how the "I was raised in a deep dark hole. A prisoner with no parole. They locked me up and took my soul" describes Eveline's creation and being raised in a lab. And the "She'll call to him and he will come. She'll run to him like he's the one. His arms outstretched but when she's done he'll be torn apart" bit references Eveline using Mia to lure Ethan to the Baker house so she can infect him with the mould and make him her "dad."
yeah so Eveline was not human at all right
@@billythomas3430 She's partially human, at least on the genetic structure. Everything else is pure bio-weapon.
She was human, but then altered
It is tragic as she was merely a girl who wanted to belong to a family.

I wish I had a shitload of money so I could have people design and build me a resident evil style house. Just a bunch of shit that makes no sense. Get up in the middle of the night to take a leak..."Shit, door's locked. Better go downstairs, find the bronze horse statue, place it on the cut-out in the dining room table, go through the secret door that opens, flip the 7 switches in the correct order to open the washer, get the skull key that's in there for some reason, so I can get into the laundry room and grab the old coin, then put the old coin in the soda machine so that the bathroom key drops out.
cookiechief1 that would be amazing and annoying at the same time
Look up the Winchester House...

Eethan O'Connell Man that house is weird af.
Christian Puddington She was so afraid of the ghosts made by her family's rifles that she built the house to trick them so they couldn't find her... That's right out of a horror movie type shit.

When you grew up in rural america and realize that the original nursery rhyme was as dark as this game.
Ilove this game so much one of the best in the series
Go tell Aunt Rhody that everybody’s thirsting for a Vampire Domme Mommy with 3 Hex Girl cosplayer daughters.
Go tell Aunt Rhody that her old grey goose is DEAD (1956)
Go tell Aunt Rhody that everybody's DEAD (2017)
Mr. Doggy Meaty lol from an American nursery rhyme to a theme tune of a great survival horror game
That escalated quickly
The actual music goes way back:
Le devin du village - "Pantomime," France (1752)
Lord, Dismiss Us with Thy Blessing, England (1773)
Rousseau's Dream, England (circa 1812)
Greenville Hymn, Germany (1840s)
Go Tell Aunt Rhody, USA (1850s)
Miwataseba, Japan (1881)
Musunde Hiraite, Japan (1947)
Go Tell Aunt Rhody (That Everybody's Dead), Japan (2017)
what does it mean? Like the beat is in older music or some kind of lyric?
if you asking what it means, it basically means this is an old nursery rhyme thats lyrics where slightly changed to relate to a horror game.

exactly lol, Mia was all the reason Ethan went there.
I didn't play it myself, but before I saw the different endings I would totally have chosen Zoe.
